You know, after reading the third book, and looking at the ads for Liara's DLC, I realized tie-in stuff really sucks for being tie-in stuff. Like say you read the Mass Effect comics or books, but you didn't play the games. Many of the stories end with "Find out the rest, in ME1, 2, and 3". Example, if you don't play the video games, you'll never learn what happened to Feron, who's Commander Shepard, etc. And with the books, you'll never learn about the Reapers, who's Commander Shepard, how things are going to end with Cerberus, etc. They can't stand on their own.
That's 'cuz they want you to buy the games.
Yeah, but what about 10 years later? If I was a writer for one of those projects, I'd want people to still be buying and reading my books.
