No offence to Ali but I rather have someone else.

Hmm, alright. Just not Jennifer Hale. I'd accept it if she used her Bastila voice, but I think I would prefer someone new.

Jennifer Hale could probably voice a female Reaper. The range of her vocal talents is just that diverse.
Jennifer Hale is a good voice actor. I wouldn't mind her having a role in DA2 (as long as it isn't as main character) and she puts on a more "Bastilla" voice.

1. Liara and Shepard are able to converse openly/without restriction, within reason
2. The romance is acknowledged
3. (optional, but priceless) The romance is developed
4. Liara seems to recognize some of the other squadmates. As someone else said before, and I greatly agree with, Liara could merely say, "Garrus, Tali, it's good to see you again." Garrus would then nod and Tali would wave, or something.
That's it. Bring on whatever awesome plot and plot twists you desire about the Shadow Broker. Just do these aforementioned things, and BioWare would pacify what I would hazard a guess is the largest group of malcontents (myself eagerly included) on the forums.
EDIT: It even makes more sense looking back. It would be criminally easy for BioWare to make Liara fans happy. Let us talk to her openly, and let us talk about the romance maturely. No more "I can't talk about it." We don't expect her to rejoin the Normandy ASAP. Just let us speak to her for once. Romance furthering, optional.

It would feel kind of like a bait & switch if Garrus and Tali had absolutely nothing to say, especially since they're so prominently featured in the announcement. They're probably sitting on a stack of audio for Legion too, it'll be interesting to see if any of that makes it in.Sigilius wrote...
Getting back on topic a bit (), I just think that this DLC would be perfect if the following requirements were met:
1. Liara and Shepard are able to converse openly/without restriction, within reason
2. The romance is acknowledged

It wouldn't surprise me if it turns out as awkward as Overlord, but I'd still be disappointed. The silence between Tali and Legion on those missions was absolutely deafening.

But then again, it would have been even easier to make her role in ME 2 not totally bad, so that her fans would be if not happy, then at least not angry. A handful of additional sentences would have been enough to achieve that. They obviously didn't even care enough to do that, so I'll just wait and see if they do now.

1. Good conversation with Liara is one of my biggest hopes from the DLC. Despite the fact that Ash/Kai fans bring up being able to revisit Liara as some sort of positive, the dialogue is so poor its not at all enjoyable. But thats opinions usually formed from the wrong perspective anyway.
2. ....Maybe. I wouldnt mind if it was acknowledged the same way ME2 did (meaning not directly) so long as its highlighted as available in ME3 in some way. Even with how poor quality banter, interaction and dialogue with squadmates got in ME2 and could be in ME3, its still going to be the best any character can get. Thats the most important thing IMO: hopefully Liaras squadmate role in ME3 being safe
3. I dont think this is likely, or required. Honestly Id just take a "we can try again when we are able", because really its linked to the above. Developing the romance in a DLC would cause hell for ME3 potentially, because what about the people who didnt? And if its meaningless in ME3, its not really "developed" at all.
4. This I personally am not bothered with in the slightest. I dont care enough about the squadmates to want this, and adding in the potential cost for the voice actors and space, it doesnt really work IMO.
Really I only want three things, and they are that Liara has a good role, that if the SB arc is finished in this DLC, it is done well, and above all else that this DLC doesnt compromise/rule out any chances of Liara being a squadmate in ME3.

Hmmm, I wonder what Benezia would think of Liara's pursuit of the Shadow Broker? I actually imagine that she would be quite supportive.
I think she would indeed. If Benezia were still alive, I feel she would support Liara financially in her quest to bring down the Shadow Broker. I just wonder if Benezia would be too 'overbearing' and try to do too much for Liara.
I just wonder if Liara would even be going after the SB if Benezia was still alive...perhaps her mother would have influenced her not to go after the criminal mastermind, and just let it go and move on?...that's another possibility.

She could totally advise Liara on the most effective way to threaten some random deadbeat who refuses to pay up. That would be quite funny!

Probably. I doubt that Benezia would have allowed Liara's pain, despair and self-loathing to fester in this manner, which in turn would have assisted Liara in letting it go, and moving on. However, I do feel that Benezia would definitely support Liara in removing the Shadow Broker if it is indeed apparent that it is a menace and a threat to galactic society and security, and needs to be stopped ASAP.

Unfortunately, from all we know, it seems like Liara's motivations are mostly revenge at this point, though she does still hold out some hope that Feron can be saved. I still think the SB is a threat and is malevolent, but we just don't know this yet and to what extent...that may come to light in this DLC.

As for Benezia, the indoctrinated version would be acting exactly as Liara is, and that is rather frightening upon reflection. As for the original, she would have abstained from these displays of vengeance, and if she did pursue the Broker, it would be for the safety of the galaxy, not personal stake.

Right, I think Benezia would want Liara to go after the SB for the right reasons....b/c he/she/it is a threat to Galactic peace, etc., and not just for revenge.

Indeed, and I actually believe that one of the big revelations of the Liara DLC will be that the Shadow Broker is being manipulated by the Reapers, and has become little more than a pawn in their bid to ensure that the next galactic invasion is a success. After all, the Shadow Broker happens to be a very useful tool and asset for the Reapers, so if he is indoctrinated in a similar vein to Saren, then this might be the case.
Of course, there is also the matter regarding the data cache that Liara is in possession of!
