Dying then resurected? Could have been interesting and dramatic and filled with all that dark story we wanted from a second act. Too bad that as it is now, it's nothing than a terrible excuse to reset certain aspect of the story and a reason to jump a few years foward.
I would never like the fact that they killed the hero in the second part of a trilogy for me that don't make any sense but the fact that they didin't explain or developed the idea combined with the fact that they use this to break the story with a two year interval make this one of the worst ideas that I have evar saw in a game and no mater what they do in ME3 this for me will reduce the overall quality of the trilogy and in a significant way.
And besides they kept Liara and Shepard apart for two years that's really bad

While killing the hero in the start of the second act only to bring him back again is certainly somewhat strange. I still felt alot powerfull stuff could have been made with it. Also It could have been a nice twist if it turns out Shepard has been implanted with Reaper tech.

Well, I happen to think Liara is an excellent character, and that she is quite awesome.
Why?

I don't think that Shepard death could be a way to implement very interesting things but this is just my opinion, about the reaper tech Ilwould like to see that Shepard was indeed implanted with reaper tech but only of course if they make that mean something to the story I just think that this could be done without kiling Shepard saying that he got seriously injuried would do the same thing and be less strange.

This was one of the first ME screenies I ever saw. Hard to imagine where I thought this series was going at that point compared to where it has ended up at this, both in terms of the good and bad sides. Mostly bad.

Insofar as I have a "canon" romance, it's Shep/Liara. Might as well admit it.
That's good to hear, jtav!
Lovely pic, Erin.

I think that romance could be very compelling for certain Shepards, depending on how you RP it.

Y'all know that I refuse to romance any character that is not Liara, so I will refrain from elaborating on that fact.
I used to be just like that. Then, after a dozen or so playthroughs on ME1 I decide to give Ash a shot at romance.
Big mistake....

I kind of want her to be romanceable again for those that didn't romance her in ME1...I just made a Shepard for that situation, if it were indeed to occur.

Agreed, and I think it could be quite interesting to have a Shepard at last reciprocate Liara's love, after witnessing just how much she means to Liara, and how much Liara has sacrificed for her. It creates an interesting dynamic to a possible Shepard/Liara romance.

I just can't...I have a problem

I used to be the type that did all the romances just for the sake of being a completionist, but I've grown out of that for some reason.
