Yeah, I think it was a nice touch that BioWare went to the trouble of altering the game to insert both Garrus and Tali into that screenshot alongside Shepard and Liara, in order to induce a sense of nostalgia amongst the veteran ME1 players. :P

It's nice to see a reuinion taking place.

Also hey, just dropping a bump over from the Ashley thread, I figured since you guys have been so nice to us recently I figured I'd send a friendly gesture right back.

So yeah, just showing my support for Liara in Mass Effect 3 and hoping for all the best in the upcoming DLC as well.

Thanks, V-rex! Ashley happens to be my second favourite ME character, and I am also desperate for her to be reintroduced as a squadmate in ME3. I support Ashley's triumphant return in ME3!

Again, I'd like to reiterate my hope that there is unique dialogue and interaction between Liara and Miranda/Garrus/Tali. I'd love that!

There is a remote chance that Wrex could return as a squadmate in ME3. The situation with him and Wreav is identical to that of Ashley and Kaidan in that they now occupy the same spot in the story, and cover for each other in the event of character death.

Maybe in ME3 we have to board a Reaper in order to bring it down. Then we have the choice of sending difrent strike teams to help us, and depending on who is alive in our story, they will be lead by them and become alot effective.

Wrex and Grunt will lead a Krogan strike team.

Kal Reegar and Tali would lead the Qurian strike team.

Samara (but not Morinth) will lead a smaller team of justicars.

Zaeed won't need a strike team, he's a big goddamn hero.

"EDIT" I don't think Wrex will return as a squadmate in ME3, but I do believe ME3 will give him ample oppurtunity to kick some ass again.

This. She's also my second favorite companion in the whole series. If the Liara DLC turns out to be good, then the next one should feature the Virmire survivor.

If however the Liara DLC turns out to be a disappointment (and I for one don't have any illusions and take nothing for granted), then the fans of Ashley and Kaidan can be happy it wasn't their favorite character that was further ruined. At least the scene on Horizon isn't just as bad as the scene on Illium, and at least the romance is acknowledged by several people in the game.

I'm on starcraft 2 too. Also hope you got the tech reactor upgrade. It makes the last mission so much easier.

Agreed. Following the release of the Liara DLC, I hope rumours begin to circulate regarding a possible DLC featuring the surviving Alliance soldier, which also happens to serve as a set-up for their squadmate role in ME3, as I believe will be the case with Liara in her DLC. I absolutely adore all three of Ashley, Kaidan and Liara, and replaying ME1 is resulting in me appreciating their respective characters to an even greater extent than I was previously, especially with regards to Kaidan. So yeah, I desperately want DLC starring the VS after the Liara DLC, and would be extremely pleased if that were to be realised.

On a related note, does anybody remember Christina Norman's message on Twitter from a few months back? Something about enjoying developing the DLC she was currently working on as she likes the challenge of altering pre-existing aspects of ME2? To me, if that were applicable to the Liara DLC it would be very promising indeed. Alterations to what already exists in the game? She could possibly be referring to Liara rejoining the Normandy as a non-squadmate NPC after the conclusion of her DLC.

I certainly hope so!

I think this happens to be the case, sadly enough. There has been very little new threads of discussion with regards to Liara for such a long time, and most discussions have been exhausted.

However, we should not worry! The Liara DLC will be released soon, and we will have plenty to discuss!
