Do you guys think we'll see Ash/Kaidan in the shadow broker dlc?
"Lair of the Shadow Broker does, however, contain some *really* cool
stuff we haven't revealed yet so stay tuned for more details as we head
into August. And actually the very coolest part of the DLC (imho) will
be something we absolutely won't reveal in the marketing or PR, to avoid
spoiling it. I think most of you will find it to be our most satisfying
DLC release yet for ME2."
I only ask because so far they've treated the previous LIs incredibly fairly. Not that I'm one of the guys who gets their hopes up that I'll see ash/kaidan again with each DLC. But I think if they're ever going to be in a ME2 dlc, this would be it.
I think they could be in it, but I don't think they will be. I think they could feature Ash/Kaidan in another DLC down the road. I'm guessing there will be a few more story related DLCs sitll to come.

FWIW, I do think that the romance will be tackled, and handled well in this DLC. There's a reason as to why it is all but absent from the retail version of the game.

Liara tends to do very well indeed in these sort of polls, but a little extra support is never a bad thing!

Well, I've always said that I consider reaffirming the romance to be a necessary part of any acknowledgement, so explaining that I want it to be more substantial than a few lines would have been redundant.

So they can make more $$$ from broken-hearted fans.

Perhaps Liara's ME2 content was repurposed as DLC in order to ensure that it received the development staff's full, undivided attention to be sure that Liara's character receives the justice it deserves.

Well, purchasing and downloading the Liara DLC is arguably the player acquiring Liara's full ME2, as originally intended, for the first time which obviously includes the romance. I know some do not like to hear this, but it's what I believe to be the case.
The motivation is not necessarily greed, however.
If its not greed, then it was cut due to time constraints in which case you guys should be thrilled they decided to continue it in dlc.

Exactly. That is also just as plausible. The reasoning behind BioWare possibly repurposing Liara's ME2 content as DLC is not necessarily greed.

I don't really think it was greed either. But on the other hand, I think Bioware just saw Liara and the SB as good DLC stuff. And remember. just like with redemption, many people will buy this because the total wreckage of a cameo Liara had in ME2 maingame.

I'm desperate! I expect that we will hear something soon, though. Especially if the DLC will be released late this month, as most speculate.
