I guess they can only do so much before their deadline hits and the game is to be released...so they push some stuff off into DLC. The SB/Liara plot is one thing that got pushed back, I guess since it isn't vital to the core purpose of ME2...to recruit a team to defeat the Collectors.

I'm now wondering if it would be possible for me to get the DLC of I gothe PC version and talked an acquaintance with decent internet into downloading the DLC for me (after I purchased it from my account). Never purchased DLC before, so I'm not sure I could burn the files to disc.

Yes, I'm desperate.

I never would have guessed...:P

I'm desperate! I expect that we will hear something soon, though. Especially if the DLC will be released late this month, as most speculate.

Deal with your anxiety the way I deal with my rage...namely by killing those pesky Jedi---I mean....uhm Eclipse mercs!

Although it may be a long and arduous wait, I expect that BW will release a "Game of the Year" edition of ME2 early next year, which would obviously include all available DLC up to that point. Therefore, the Liara DLC may eventually be available in retailers, and those with poor or non-existent internet connections, like yourself jtav, will be able to play it.

The wait would be painful and desperate, but there is hope!

I have not been online for four days . . . so any Liara dlc updates while I've been away?

I think you could do this...as long as you purchase it with your account....you just download an .exe file and you could burn this and then take it to your computer to install.

Yeah, and the Liara DLC will at last allow the development staff and writers to focus and concentrate on her character at last, and ensure that it delivers the best possible experience possible, that is true to her character.

Thread is inactive so I will start a conversation.

What "evil" decision in a video game made you feel the worst?

The worst evil actions that me downright disgusted is by FAAAR betraying Samara. It's just such a cruel act.

I'm embarrassed to admit it but I've got 3 such moments and they're all from Kotor 1 or 2.

I have only played KOTOR 1 but which are you talking about?

On a somewhat related note, I sincerely hope that the DLC does not present the option of siding with the Shadow Broker over Liara. That's not being Renegade, that's just plain evil.

Why those are certainly evil. I can understand why you would do em. I mean. If Bastilla said to you "Hey! Lets go rule the entire galaxy" Woulnd't YOU do it?

Reminds me of our talk about Darth Liara.

Good times!

PS: Just tell me what the 2 evil acts from KOTOR 2 are.

I hope not.  If you are worried about them doing horrible things to Liara, don't...they won't kill her off in the DLC.

Of course. The probability of Liara being able to die in this DLC is absolutely zero. I believe that the end will also provide a set up for her squadmate role in ME3.

First of all Hell yes I'd kill them for Bastila.
and the other 2.
If you "fix" Kotor 2 (put back all the cut content) there's this young girl at the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine.
And you can either A) Convince her to seek out a Jedi master to complete her training. B) Turn her to the dark side...she then runs off or C) Call her "too weak to live and kill her" (she's probably about 15 and is tramutized from the Sith atttack on the Enclave so option c is pure evil)
The other is forcing one of your team mates (named Visas) to kill herself to weaken your foe. And then leaving her to die when she asks you to stay with her until she passes. That's even more evil.

I think things will go quite well for Liara and Shepard in this DLC, like they usually do. The SB will be defeated, the galaxy made a better place, yadda yadda yadda.

The Paragon/Renegade thing will probably just determine who kills the SB and how.

Exactly, and said Paragon/Renegade or Charm/Intimidate or whatever may provide the basis for any future development Liara's character undergoes.

Ultimately, though, I think the Liara DLC will end with both her and Shepard remaining good friends or lovers, and will also serve as a setup for her squadmate role in ME3. Who knows, perhaps LotSB is intended to be the first of the story bridging DLC?

I think it may set up her ME3 squad mate role, but I do also think she will part ways with Shepard after the DLC temporarily.

Ouch. Those 2 are certainly evil.

My problem with Dark side (and renegade to an extent) is how pointless evil most of their actions are. Like the why hell would anybody assisinate a space paladin in favor of her psychotic space sex-vampire daughter? Most actions DS and renegade does just seems to be nothing than "for teh lulz".
