It arrived this morning from Forbidden Planet, not bad considering it was imported from the States.

I agree with you on Feron working with Cerberus, makes the most sense given what TIM says in the comic. Still, I wonder what Feron could possibly do to prevent Liara from walking away with the body, if it came to that (don't think it would ever come to this though, from what she says in ME2, she gave the body willingly). Also, it doesn't say much about the SB if he has a double agent in his organisation what works for Cerberus.

Frankly said he could have always shot Liara in the back, biotics dont make you invincible or even simpler and less radical in case they escaped together he could have made sure that Cerberus would be waiting for her on wherever she wanted to go with Shepards body.
But since he is about to spill the beans and is likely to die in the last issue we will never find out what he could have done.
And about him being a double agent who says the Shadow Broker doesnt know it,maybe he tried to get something out of it.

True Noxis, biotics don't stop you from being shot in the back of the head. The SB probably does know that Feron is a double agent, the reason for tolerating him could be as you said.

I still think that in order to amp up Liara's guilt that in issue 4 she is going to be put into a situation in which she has to choose between stopping Feron from getting abducted, or saving Shepard's body. Obviously choosing to save the body, this could explain her desire to know of Feron's fate, seeing as she would be largely responsible. Couple that with her guilt at handing Shepard's corpse to Cerberus, her fear that he/she will hate her and her general stress from working as an information broker and having a price on her head, you can see why she has become emotionally shattered in ME2. She's unhappy, really unhappy and needs Shepard to comfort her.

Good conjecture there.

Bump, found a great new piece of fanart on deviantArt. FemShep and Liara embracing each other:

The artist says that it will be coloured soon, so I'm going to keep an eye out. Great work.

I was just thinking, if Liara hypothetically is a temporary squadmate for her DLC, and she obviously boards the Normandy briefly to get to wherever we need to go, I'd like a scene in which she is on the bridge with Shepard, similar to how Tali is as you're approaching the Migrant Fleet. Liara obviously says that she wants to go with Shepard when you speak to her, and it'd be good to see them reunited again.

It would be cool to see her as a temporary squadmate at least. There isn't room for her on character select screen so she won't be a permanent addition. I don't know if I want to put my hopes up on it, but we can always dream. Anywho, on the bright side, we'll get new dialogue and stuff with her soon! :D

Yeah I know, I can't wait!

The preview for issue 4 of Redemption should be out soon, I'm keeping a close eye out for it. Once Redemption is finished, then the excitement really starts for the Liara DLC. I hope that by the end of it Liara starts to feel a bit better, I hate seeing her all sad...

I'm not sure how soon, but as Les said, we still have 1 more comic on the horizon and then I bet we'll see more of the DLC. They have to finish that first though.

Majorly seconded. That's one of the reasons I went for a more happy sig, because my previous one kept tugging at me. I don't like seeing her said either...

Aw man, you guys got #3 already? I'm still waiting for mine to show up. Is it good? Well, anything with Liara is good but, you know what I mean.

Here's the rundown. Nothing major has happened yet. According to the comic guys, there's supposed to be a "shocking conclusion", so the 4th issue should be pretty sweet.

So I have to wait another month to settle all this XD Alright, at least it gives me something to look forward to. Thanks.

I really do hope this shocking conclusion gives us more insight into why Liara is so guilty and sad in ME2. If it does turn out that TIM is manipulating Liara and forbidding her from fraternizing with Shepard then the guy is a giant douche. Preventing her from speaking to the only person she's ever cared about and loved? No wonder she's so sad.

Again, I hope the DLC has us speak intimately with Liara and she breaks down and tells us how she really feels.

I just totally hate the idea of the suicide mission. I'm not opposed to recruiting new people but it seems like a dumb thing to do when they could all die at the end of the game. I think the suicide mission itself was lackluster and it was way too easy to have everyone survive it.

My ideal ME2 would have been having the plot pick up right after ME1. You and your squad are further investigating the Reaper threat while also recruiting new people to further expand your squad resources. Your missions then would have consisted of either further researching the Reaper/Collector threat (like taking a trip to Ilos again) or recruiting these new squad mates. None of these squad mates can die either, which removes worries about their continuity into ME3. I'm not sure how the ending would work for my idea...maybe scratch the final boss fight/suicide mission and just have a huge revelation about the Reapers at the end. A cliffhanger that would've set up ME3 would've been nice.

Agreed.  ME1 left us with the Reapers still out there but trapped in Dark Space.  ME2 should have been about them trying to get out of dark space, Shepard trying to stop them, and ultimately failing at the end, leading into ME3.

Now I guess they are just going to sort of appear out of nowhere in ME3.  So much for being trapped in dark space and ME1 having a purpose at all. <_<

ME1 DOES HAVE A PURPOSE AND THIS PURPOSE IS {TENSION RISING].... IS.... LIARA!!!

You know, a lot of the talk in this thread has been about Liara DLC or even a Liara expansion based on the files that were mined from the PC version of the game. And the way the talk has gone a lot of us seem to be assuming its only a matter of time before we get news announcing the release. The debate seems to hinge on when we'll hear something, not if we'll hear something or if the content will even be released.

I'm curious, how many of you are really that confident that we'll get this content? And if you think we'll get it, how many of you are really, really confident it will actually continue the Liara/Shep story/romance in a satisfying way?

For me, I'm hopeful but realistic. I'm not going to get my hopes up to high. My assumption at this point is that its possible we'll get something, but I would put the probability at around 25-30 percent. Honestly that's not very high. And if we get something, there's a good chance it'll be disappointing. Maybe a couple missions that are given to us by Liara but not missions she participates in.

How confident are the rest of you? Because you all seem really confident.

I, for one, trust Bioware to give me a satisfying conclusion to my Liara romance in ME 3.
