Just like the suicide mission is a "challenge" to keep your squad alive or else Shepard will die, ME3 will have the war effort against the Reapers. Where all our major choices will factor into them and hopefully make it so you can win the war. So maybe completing the DLC will grant you a bonus to help yo out.
Of course. This could all be giberish since I don't got a crystalball to see how ME3 will be.
I dont know, that sounds a little bit too much like influencing the "course" of the game, and thats something Bioware has said decision carryover doesnt do, it rather alters the "tone" of the game. Its a typical dev spin way of saying "we cant make the choices matter that much".
Hopefully it will have some decent effects in ME3, but I think any game altering ones will be left strictly to ME3. Your choies may alter how things are presented in ME3, but all the changing of those things (like defating the reapers) will probably be kept strictly to ME3 itself. Otherwise some noob is going to be complaining about how s/he gets less out of the game when they payed the same amount for it as someone who bought the first 2/DLC.

I'd like to see the Shadow Broker repentant, but at least as much of me wants to see him/her/them dead, I certainly wouldn't trust them as an ally unless something quite unexpected happens. Then, something unexpected happening is almost a certainty, that's how these things are.
Well, there are big surprises in store for us...if you believe the devs.
I just don't want to guess anymore....*waits impatiently for the DLC*

The "3 independant stories" kinda support your theory (sadly). But still I hope that 100% victories against the Reapers should be impossible on certain playthroughs, due to wrong combination of choices.

I absolutely agree, but I just think the chances of it being related to anything but ME3 itself are nil.
Bioware are even very careful, as we saw with ME2, to make sure these paths are not going to surprise the player completely, and make them feel cheated. You almost had to be *trying* to get Shepard killed in ME2. I imagine any "you lose" ending would be the same in ME3. I think its been made clear by Bioware that they dont want a bunch of angry fans writing about how they got a crappy ending forced on them or somesuch.

Casey Hudson did say they had to limit our choices and their effects in ME2, due to it being the second part. Sadly Casey says alot things and most it ain't true.
Oh well. I wish I could continue the discussion, but I have leave early today. Cya folks!

I'm betting on a hug at least, probably occurring after the DLC is all said and done. And then Liara goes back to Illium

If this DLC is indeed post-suicide mission, then I am hoping for alot more and do believe that there is a far greater chance that there will be romantic content, and that Liara may board the Normandy as a non-squadmate NPC. However, I remain prepared for any disappointments and do not expect it in any way.

No offence jlb and it's a nice picture but Liara deserves better than to be reduced to the same tame cuddle scene suitable for secondary substitute lovers. I think your other picture would be much better.

I do agree though...Liara should get her own epic cuddle scene.
jlb...... Asari Embrace awesome pic, nice work. That should be the Liara/Shepard scene at the end of the DLC. That would make up for all the lame things BW has done to Liara and that pic as part of a scene should be what you get for remaining faithful. The other cuddle scene would be more appropriate for those who weren't but tried to make amends.

Wonder how many would go back and replay ME1 and 2 and remain faithful to Liara if that pic and accompaning scene were how things would wind up ?

I think you're probably right. It seems like Bioware got the message that the fans aren't happy with her cameo in ME2.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
I just want deep, emotional and intimate interaction and dialogue between Liara and Shepard, especially if she is your LI. I believe that will be the case too.
I'm playing through ME2 again with new respect for Jack because I found out her VO is the same one who voiced Juhani in KOTOR. But you know what class I seriously underestimated? The sentinel. I know they're supposed to be a jack of all trades, but there is no better close range fighter than the sentinel.
Oh, and on that 'Liara may be killable' topic, I think if you gave her the wrong observer then she'll be killed by Nyxeris. I think Liara says a line along the lines of "If she had been ordered to kill me..."

Lets hope you're right about that. Devs sought to improve upon the shooter/ gameplay aspects of the game and seemed to do so at the expence of the story, Should they opt to focus on the story/ dialogue/ romance/ character development in the DLC's and ME3 then the Mass Effect Trilogy will be doubtless a historical achievement IMO.
Hope the devs have the quads to do it.

I don't think Liara will be killed by Nyxeris if you don't do the quest...if so, all those people won't be able to play the DLC.
The Observer quest was meaningless (I think) and may only affect a line or two of DLC dialog.
