I remember when we all hoped that Redemption would show us that TIM and Cerberus were allied with Liara, and that was the reason she couldn't come with you (TIM wouldn't allow it). That may still be the case.
Oh, and Retribution is another good example that illustrates Cerberus' willingness to work with non-humans...I guess that makes sense, given TIM's 'end justifies the means' philosophy.

That's true, Wolf. TIM would want Shep to leave Liara to her hunt.

I also have a good feeling that TIM also sees the aliens as alot more expendable resource.

Heres to hoping his week we get some more info on the DLC. The sooner I can figure out where this DLC may or may not leave Liaras character in light of ME3, the better.
I have a good feeling that we might something new to look at tomorrow. Wether it's a screenshot or news article!

"ba-dum-tish"
I really hope they take their time so they blow us away with the DLC. Because if they don't, it won't bode well for Liara's future as a good character.

Well it does sound like they have been working on this for a long time.
Ideally Im hoping that, if a fully blown expansion isnt on the cards, a few 3-4 hour dialogue and story heavy smaller expansions will be released instead, this being the first of them, all of which "bridge the gap to ME3".
And yeah, I cant shake the feeling that this DLC may be a huge determining factor on what Liaras future is for ME3. Hopefully itll be a flashing "Ill be able to join in ME3" sign. Could just as easily be "Im now just a supporting NPC for ME3" sign. Its why Im anxious to see more info.

I could imagine that once we defeat the SB, Liara will start ramlbing on about how she must now take full control of the network and couldn't possibly hope to ever hop on board the Normandy again. And we should just expect a support role in ME3! <_<

Yeah, exactly. I could take some sort of temporary "I need to go through the data thats left, and maybe find something about the reapers" since that sounds like it could come in handy in a squadmate role for ME3. More important as well, the same kind of squadmate role Liara had in ME1: the one with the vital information needed that nobody else has.
However, I can just as easily see it setting up some stupid support role instead. Id like to think with how much fuss the vanilla game made about asking Liara to join, and the when she cant, telling her not to turn into the thing she is hunting, that kind of rules out a "Im the new Shadow Broker" plot which would just be plain stupid. Still, you never know. Hopefully this DLC further shoots down that idea, rather than confirming it.

One thing is certain about the DLC. It needs to answer ALOT of questions.

I´m not counting on it to answer anything besides Feron´s fate.
Hopefully the SB will also atleast mention Wilson. As of now, he had no real reason to go postal other than the fact that ME2 needed a tutorial with EXPLOSIONS!

I doubt Wilson has a major role in Mass Effect, besides being the tutorial's canon fodder.
Which is one of many reasons why the ME2 plot is stupid.

One thing I hope doesn't get swept under the rug is the Nyxeris quests...there should be at least some mention of what happened in ME2 with Liara.

I have been thinking about what Liara's email will say, and what the first conversation will be like. I think it will match the atmosphere and tone of Liara's second ME2 conversation. We will see her anger at the SB again, her paranoia, etc.

Most likely, and that is what I also believe. However, throughout the duration of the DLC mission, Liara will progressively open up and drop her hardened facade as she begins the process of relating all of her pain, suffering and guilt to Shepard, and we at last gain the ability to comfort and ease her of her anguish, and her emotional torment. Throughout the course of the DLC, we will see Liara open up and begin to gain an understanding of the exact nature of her thought processes, and how her pain has affected her.
