They'd better have something soon. My Evil!Liara muse is starting to come back, and I know how little people here like it when that happens.
I don't mind talking about Evil!Liara.
Me <3 Evil!Liara!
Damn, we need some info fast.

Lol, Liara and evil are two things that dont mix in my books.
All I want is the return to the kind of confidence she had during the ME1 romance. It would be great to see something like the "locker room scene" in ME3. It would be great to know that after everything that has happened, Shepard can still be vulnerable, and Liara is able to be supportive still after everything shes been through, and I imagine at that stage the galaxy will have been through too.
Of course, that hinges on her getting a squadmate role, which is what it always comes back to.

Yeah, I hate how Shepard is an emotional brick throughout ME1 and 2! But what makes ME1 so better is the fact that actuelly got a scene where we are reminded that Shepard is actuelly a character and not just some vessel in which we experience the story through. The closest ME2 gets is with the picture scene (which is just another reason why I think ME1 LI's are far supirioer).

What about "I Remember Me"? So sad, but very well written. There are a few other occasions in ME 1, but almost none in ME 2.

Well, Shepard could definitely be "a character and not just some vessel in which we experience the story through" in that scene in ME 1, and I thought that was what you were talking about.
In ME 2, there's only Kelly who seems to actually care about Shepard, and Shepard can be a human for once when talking to her. Too bad they didn't properly finish that romance, it had the most potential.

Hello Liara thread!
I'm back!
Also I think that would have been a great idea Lizardviking.

All Bioware needed to do was to have a scene where Kelly walks up to Shepard and simply say that she feel something is bothering him. All the players who wants Shepard to be stoic could just pick a option where Shepard says he's fine, while players that wants Shepard to show some emotion could continue the scene.

There's something a bit like it. Did you know Shepard can ask Kelly for a hug? Everyone who prefer their Shepard to be the stone-cold action! dude, can of course just brush her off as well. But it's one of the very few moments in ME 2 where we even get the chance to let Shepard express some feelings or act like a human.
Well yeah.Lizardviking wrote...

No offence, but I need to ask you.
Are you the same person who also had the account named "Darth Cheesecake"?

Why?
I got mad at Priestly called him out.
Cut my old account
Revamped it with a new name.
*laughs* yeah I got mad at Priestly's caviler attitude so I told him what I thought.Lizardviking wrote...

But doesn't that lead to the Kelly romance?

AFAIK Shepard was not in focus in that scene, the slave girl was. Whereas in the locker scene, it's Shepard who is down and out and where the LI walks in to encourage Shepard not to give up the fight.
Another thing that should be considered is that Maleshep feels more "alive" in ME2 due to vastly improved voice acting from Mark Meer. problem is, there is no scene that focus on Shepard (unlike ME1) meaning that Shepard might not sound like brick, but he still is one.

Speaking of "accidental romances" I really don't see how that can happen. You just have to make sure not to choose the wrong dialog option. Just the other day I went all the way through Garrus' "flexibility" conversation and got Thane to call me Siha with my Liara-faithful Shep. No downturned picture in my cabin, no trigger for the paramour achievement.
Take Garrus' conversation for example. You can safely tell him "we could ease stress together" with him to work out tension, but then BioWare gives you an option that lets you stay neutral. Just don't touch the "That's not what I meant" option when he responds "I, uh, didn't think you'd feel like sparring Commander." BioWare always gives you an option to just stay buddies as far as I know. I may not have gone completely into Jacob's dialogue.
