Lovely picture.

Anyway. here's hoping that the new week will bring us some info!

Yes, here's to hoping.

Ahh, but hopes and dreams, 'tis nothing but wishes on the water... /poetic

I would hate if Bioware released info on Thursday! because then I won't be there to see it!

Making a new playthrough on ME1, Liara romance of course. I find myself wishing I could manipulate my ginger Shep's height and make it so Liara is a taller. That'd be the greatest thing ever.

The hardened soldier, the peerless warrior, the first human Spectre, is short enough to be overstatured by a socially awkward asari scientist whom said Spectre has gone head over heels for. Maybe Liara could do the dipping when they tango, hmmmmm... Posted Image

Stormy, I don't recall seeing you around here much, have I simply been inattentive, or are you new?

I think I have went and done the most retarded thing you can do about stuff like this new DLC, I've gone and hyped it up in my mind so that when I play it I might be let down... Now that would suck.

Eh, thats really an easy thing to do given Liaras mundane appearance in the vanilla game.

Its content with Liara at the centre of it, something thats pretty rare for the ME1 LIs in ME2. The natural thing to do is hype it up. I think it could be pretty good to be honest. The DLC has had some good things going for it so far. Im more concerned about it bringing in implications for Liara in ME3 as a potential squadmate rather than not being good enough on its own.

Well, in case you haven't gotten one, let me say welcome to the Liara T'soni Support Thread. Things get a little rocky from time to time, but my advice; stick with it. And bring alchohol, if you so desire.

I'll see that and raise you the fact that I've completely laid out my dream-redition of how it will play out story-wise from beginning to end in my head. If I'm lucky, I can summon the bitter, pessimist side of me in time to balance things out before it's released.

So, how do you want to have the DLC play out?

Yeah, I know, from the moment I talked to her the first time on Illium I just wanted to help her kick some SB butt, and here we are, about to get the chance to do just that! It's great, but I need to reel my expectations in a bit, accept that it probably will be a mission like Overlord and it'll probably not change anything drasticly. And if it's more than that I'll be frothing at the mouth when playing this stuff :P

When it comes to Liara in ME3, I don't think that this DLC will change any of that, by all likelihood she'll be there, the only question that I see is: In what form? Squaddie? The New and improved SB? Your new Boss? I'm not ruling anything out right now.

Oh I was welcomed with open arms, you all seem to be a nice bunch B)
And I'm definitely sticking with it, it's after all Liara! As for the alcohol... I'll guess I'll get on here tipsy sometime and then you can decide if it was a good idea ;)

Then here's to hoping that we'll get an official release date soon so we can put down the mental brakes and not crash in that ravine known as "Dissapointment Valley"

But I don't think it'll be that much of a problem, it will be good, it must be good! *sits in corner rocking back and forth*

The main problem is I am not entirely alone in my room. It's always really awkward for me to write stuff about Liara with my older brother stalking about the room. I'll write it as soon as I can.

Salutations Liara-Lovers. Was playing through ME1 recently and I suddenly came to an interesting conclusion that has likely been discussed at Length here in the Liara Thread, none the less I felt it was worth brining up again if only for the sake of clarification. Now, I won't hide the fact that my first choice for Shep's Life Time Love Interest is Tali Zorah. Not looking to get stoned here, it's just a personal choice. However, looking over ME1, and the Impact Liara has on that game's Story and Characters (Her mother, etc) and looking at ME2 and the gravity of her presence, though brief, there, and lastly the Comic Series dedicated to her exploits post Shepard's "Death"; taking these observations into account, would it be safe to assume the Liara was intended, by the Writers, to be Shepard's "Canon" Love Interest?

I know, I know. In an RPG "Canon" is a loose term, however I just can't bring myself to see it as otherwise even though I usually choose Tali in the end. When ME1 first launched, the Michael Bay like Trailer hinted that Ashley Williams was Shepard's Canon LI; however, once you sat down and played the game, and saw just how little Ashley effected Shepard and how little impact she had in the Story, short of what happens on Virmire, it really highlights the fact that the Ashley and Shep love scene in the Trailer was more for marketing purposes then anything else.

Also, an important observation I forgot to make, we have the impending Shadow Broker DLC that brings Liara back into the fold so to speak. So, taking these all into account, would this community agree that Liara *was* in fact intended to be the Canon Love Interest? Now, given how much some of you REALLY love Liara I know it will be easy for you to just jump out and say, "Of course she was!" But, I want you crazy kids to think on it, and really look at it from all sides before you answer.

I know this was something I could have turned into a Thread, but, aside from the fact that I hate it when a Thread is created and forgotten ten seconds later, I just figured it made sense to ask this question in a place where pretty much any Liara question would be welcome as long as it wasn't Spam. So, thanks for taking the time to read this and, maybe, post a response. Here's to Love in general in Mass Effect.
