Basically, the only reason I thought up that scene is because it would be such an enormous chock for a start of the game. Kind of the shock the beginning of ME2 could have been if they would have been smart enough to kip the lid on about Shepard dying.fongiel24 wrote...
This is an interesting idea, but would also require some suspension of belief as it would seem very OOC for many of your companions to just lay down their weapons and take a bullet to the back of the skull. Can you really see Jack surrendering peacefully to anyone, much less Cerberus? If a bunch of Cerberus commandos showed up on the Normandy uninvited, Grunt would likely just see that as Christmas coming early. Many of your companions have made a career of prevailing against overwhelming odds. They might not win in your scenario, but they're not going to go quietly and Cerberus is going to be shipping a lot of its personnel off the Normandy in bodybags.

Remember that my idea is set well after the happenings in ME2, and that it involves a Liara who has taken over SB's role in the galaxy.Dinkamus_Littlelog wrote...
No, while its true that she mentions hired muscle, I think it would be just another woefully OOC thing for Liara to have asari commandos working for her. Its the kind of "hired muscle" that wouldnt work well for tracking down the SB.
And I know she was bluffing because she was trying to simply intimidate the guy. Its no less unlikely and untruthful as her "flaying unpaying customers alive with her mind". Shes trying to work with what she has. She gets some cred from helping Shepard take down Saren, but still has to borrow lines from her mother because shes not used to intimidating people.
Im pretty sure this DLC will further emphasise the fact that Liara works mostly on her own. I would be extremely shocked, not to mention annoyed by the ridiculousness of it all if she manages to call on the aid of some random asari commandos in this DLC.
In her quest to bring the SB down however, I'm on your side of the fence.

Like I said, it would ****** me off. I'd rather have Shep die than have Miranda or Mordin die.
Yeah, seeing Mordin taking a bullet to the back of the head would probably break my little, dark heart as well.

Not really. The LotSB DLC thread did get closed for going off topic, though. Priestly says he thinks I will enjoy LotSB. I still think we will hear something later this week.

My legitimate hopes:
Liara emails Shepard, gives her the quest info. Shepard then travels to Illium to pick up Liara, then they both go planet hopping, destroying SB bases as they go. Liara is with Shepard the entire time, acting as either a temporary squad mate, or similar to what Garrus was during his recruitment mission. There are plenty of opportunities to speak with Liara (similar to Mordin or Jack's loyalty missions) and she does have romance exclusive dialog with Shepard.
After the SB is defeated, Liara briefly spends time with Shepard on the Normandy. If romanced, you get a touching scene, not necessarily a 'love scene' but perhaps a heart-warming hug/kiss deal. Liara still declines the offer to join the crew, though, promising she will return in the future, after she's cleared up some things. Non-romanced Shepards just get a friendly thanks and a hand-shake.
My expectations:
Liara emails Shepard, gives her the quest info. Shepard then travels to Illium to pick up Liara, then they both go planet hopping, destroying SB bases as they go. Liara does not accompany Shepard, but is off doing something on her own the entire time, meeting up with Shepard just a few times, including the confrontation with the Shadow Broker. After the SB is defeated, Liara thanks Shepard but declines the offer to join the Normandy crew again, stating that she must return to Illium to analyze the data. Fin.
No romance content, barring one or two lines.
