So, speaking hypothetically, if it were a choice between Liara not being a squadmate in ME3 and her wearing a Miranda-esque outfit with heaving cleavage, which would you pick?

Sorry to butt in here and I know my opinion will probably be ignored, but I really don't want any other character to suffer the fate of Miranda.

No, we welcome other people's opinions as long as they're put forward in a mature manner.

Thanks for your two cents! Posted Image And I agree!

So we have to choose between lame support role or having her character cheapend completly? :pinched:

Yep.

I pick the third option available to me. Hope there's a Samara romance able in ME3!

As for that fanfic: Woah that Shepard is a first class douche.

Thats a situation where I would simply walk away. Neither option interests me so Id have to cop out and say in that event, I cease to be a Liara fan, or a mass effect fan and it no longer is an issue.

Question 33. On the one in the middle: I've never gone "Squee" in my entire life --I'm saving it for a big moment-- but dang; I came real close.

I wanted to throttle him soo unbelievably bad. It's a big part of what drove me to make that "Singularity" art piece.

But how many fics contains Tali wins over Liara? Just kinda curious to know.

It is hard to give an accurate number without reading all of them in existence.
Which is pretty hard. I can't really give you a guesstimation either. Not a big fic reader. More into fanart.

I don't really go looking for that kind of stuff, so I can't really give an accurate number, but there are a few. And Tali "wins" every time.

"If you thought cheating on Liara was justified; you didn't deserve her in the first place" - Someone wise.

The most recent/current characters dominate fan fiction and fanart, provided there isnt a suitable alternative. I would fully expect most new fanfics to favour Tali.

Of course, if Tali gets cameod in ME3 like she deserves, the reverse will be true, and whatever new LIs are present will take precedence over Tali.

I would say no characters deserve to be given sideroles (outside of DLC Zaeed and Kasumi, (if they return at all)). It's the end of the series and everyone deserves a big finish. Just my opinion.

It's sad but true. Many of those who abandond the first sinking ship will abandon the second once it starts to leak.

A really old piece of Mass Effect fan art. One of the first to appear on DA.

Scratch that. If the ME2 LI's get cameo'd. Then there won't be as many who leaves them as there were with the ME1 LI's in ME2 mostly because the new ones are unlikely to recieve a ****ty cameo like the old ones did.

Hello,

And at the expense of sounding like a parrot: please, no one should have to undergo the kind of crap-slinging that Miranda gets for those outfits, she didn't choose them.

I'm an outright Miri fan, but I cannot wait for the LotSB DLC to be released. Despite the Liara character assassination that took place in Redemption, it touched me immensely that she would go to such lengths for Shepard. It also irked me very much that Miranda and Liara had nothing to say to each other on Illium especially when it's obvious both women had built a tentative friendship by the 4th issue. Not getting my hopes up, but I do hope there is some chance at interaction in the DLC.

Now that's an interesting notion. Who chose them?

TIM:P

Actually I like Miranda's loyalty outfit (it's far better than the original)

Here's to hoping you're not trolling: but considering both of Miranda's outfits are skin-tight, and players don't really have a choice about that, Bioware is the one who decides, the same way the camera angles favours those ass-shots; again it's not up to players to make the decision. This is, however, quite off topic.

@barquiel - indeed, the dark colour conceals the adolescent exaggerations of her body much more tastefully.

You know, I don't think it was even all the over the top ass-shots that made me unable to take Miranda seriously.  If I had to pinpoint one thing I think it would have been the absurd cameltoe that tipped me off that someone's teenage nephew had been put in charge of armor design and directing the cut scenes.

I hope in LOTSB that Liara at least recognizes Miranda an doesn't just kinda shrug her off as someone which she never know.

I dont think anyone deserves a "small role", but I think Tali and Garrus have had their two games worth. Let other characters take a second game as squadmates, rather than these two. They are quite easily killed, and therefore not viable squadmates for ME3, so giving them a worthwhile support role seems the natural thing to do IMO.

Now you see why I called the notion interesting: Yes, BioWare chose the outfit. But since they wrote the character wearing it quite willfully for all we know, of course that implies she did "choose" it. Otherwise you would have to accuse BioWare of putting her into clothes that aren't in-character. Do you?

I do. Like they forced Liara into a role that wasn't in-character.
