I think I remember you, Homicidal Frog. Although you won't find many of the old people here.
I thought your username sounded familiar when I read it. What happened to the old guys anyway?

You sayin' Samara looks unhealthy?
No sir you are not! But I didn't use any DA face mods either, so I guess I'm just easily pleased..tmk wrote...
Yea, getting an updated face texture sure is dangerous... just ask Garrus
Seriously though, am I the only one who just thinks she looks fine the way she looks?

It's not so much a change but more the graphics looking more realistic. Something I've noticed about modern Graphics. 3 years ago I would've looked at Mass Effect 1 and thought "Wow, these graphics are amazing. " and I still sort of do, but compared to Mass Effect 2, the graphics look terrible. Especially when you put two Mass Effect character from both games (Like Garrus) and put them next to each other.
Although Liara, looks thin and unhealthy. The cute baby face she used to have seems to have disapeared and her face is more defined possibly hinting at a loss of weight incredible loss of weight since Liara had a decent body before Mass Effect 2, she probally looks really skinny now.
Her lips don't look too healthy either, she's lost her bright purple lips and they seem to be in a dull, sort of pale dark blue. Assuming that isn't just lipstick or then again, Mass Effect 2 Asari have dark blue lips so maybe it's that.
Her cute freckles are more visible, that probally doesn't mean anything though but the graphics looking more realistic.
Her new eyes look beautiful, but they looked really dull in Mass Effect 2 without the DLC. She's probally more happier that Shepard is with her and she's going to get that bastard and finally put him in a coffee cup and as a result her mood and mental stability has effected her eyes. Maybe she got a decent nights sleep finally.(I think those two have the same eyes, but DLC Liara has more realistic eyes so you can't really tell.)
She looks something like Samara to be honest.

Took the words right outta my mouth.
Don't know about you but I never expressed myself by changing colour...tmk wrote...
Phew, at least I'm not alone... cause ever
since Les posted that comparison pic, everyone seems to have some beef
with the "new" face... "it's too green, the lipstick is too dark, the
neck is too reptilian (wtf?)". And of course god forbid Liara from
expressing a range of emotions or getting any character advancement from
the ME1 "I am fluffy kitteh" characterisation...

That wasn't what I meant, I meant she looks unhealthy, didn't say I didn't like it because it's a sensible update with all things considered. It looks dangerous because it looks like she experiencing some health problems due to lack of nutrition/food, overtiredness, stress and probally depression.

Honestly, I don't see terrible terrible loss of weight. Besides, she looked more or less fine in the base game, and I doubt she'd lose all that weight between then and the events of LotSB. Sure, there's some stress and maybe it's artistically overemphasised, but I don't see anything to suggest some sort of anorexia or something health-threatening like that. I mean, to an extent any ME models are healthy (FemShep had toothpick arms in ME1 and still has serious spine problems, but that doesn't seem to indicate any health issues as far as storyline is concerned).nerdage wrote...

You should try it, it's fun

People have changes in eye color, hair color, even skin tone, when they're stressed for long periods of time. Maybe that's how the asari react to prolonged stress.

Is it me, or does Liara look a little sickly in the new pics?

Gamble confirmed Liara's DLC bridges the me2-me3 story! That's what I was hoping for.

This is our biggest DLC yet, period.
It also marks the real beginning where we expand the ME2 story in preparation for ME3.
As time gets closer to release, we'll have coverage on more of the awesome things you can expect out of LotSB
and who wouldn't be tired after what she's been trough?Newnation wrote...
I like the overhaul. I also like that she looks like she's not wearing any makeup and the fact she looks tired.
