BG works surprisingly well with new OSs. Haven't had an issue with it thus far.  Much better than KOTOR for W7 that's for sure!

I was always planning as playing as the Orlesian, so I'll probably get it.  (My canon playthrough I did the final sacrifice anyway.)

Except that appears no longer to be a canonical option.

What wretched missteps already in the DA franchise...

Well, yes - but it's like The Matrix.  If you just ignore everything after the first one, nothing's ruined for you Image IPB

@EveryoneElse ... Liara just must be a squaddie in ME3. With an actual continuing romance. And an epically happy ending. There is No Other Option.

I'm impatient. Give me Liara DLC with her as a temporary squadmate and continuation/acknowledgement of the romance.

At the very least I want acknowledgement that a romance still exists between Shepard and Liara. It would make me extremely sad if there wasn't anything to prove that they still had feelings for each other :crying:

My gaming PC is still XP - Oh, how I hate Vista (and I avoid new OSs from MS until they've had several major patches - it's probably about time for me to go check out W7) .  My Vista hate is mutual though - I'm pretty sure Vista also hates me, and thinks I'm a total idiot.

Vista: Are you sure you want to do that?
Me: Yes.
Vista: Really, really sure?
Me: Yes.
Vista: No, seriously - THIS is what you want to do?  Are you dumb?
Me: Yes! Stop #$!%$#"^& around!  I just want to %^)(&*^ defrag the %^)*(& drive you stupid piece of %$_)*(!!!

I really hate vista as well but I pretty much got pigeon-holed into using it. But, even on vista BG2 runs well, I was amazed, because with Kotor I had to do play around a lot with setting's to get it to run properly.

Liara is my favorite. what a 3d babe. She's the only one it actually felt like a real relationship with. Especially since in ME i was flirting with both her and ashley (flirted with her more), but liara was the one who ended up consoling emo shepard when things got to heavy. I would tap that asari ass.

W7 is much, much better than Vista.  I have had no problems with it at all.  My only gripes would be considered minor nitpicks.

So back on topic. I'm totally going create a BG mage and name her Liara.  Will probably make a custom portrait too.

I wish someone more talented than me would make a BGII mod with Mass Effect characters.  That would be magnificent. B)

Way to tie that all together Image IPB

+3.  Yes, +3.  Because I will buy it three times if there's a Liara DLC that satisfyingly acknowledges the relationship.

Well, it's only just over a month now until the last issue of Redemption is released. Then is the time to get excited and start checking the Cerberus Network. Argh, the wait!

The patch that they'll release tomorrow will not fix anything content related. Not that it could've been expected anyway. It will apparently also not fix that easily missed part of Liara's dialogue, even though that could easily be qualified as a bug (and would be fixable within a minute).

Just posting to say I agree with this.  Shall be very disappointed if she is not back properly for ME3, and as herself too, not doing a poor imitation of the wicked witch of the west.

I hope you are right about some worthwhile DLC featuring Liara meantime.  In my opinion ME2 was distinctly lacklustre (in many ways not just in terms of the hatchet job on Liara's character).

Oh that's right!  The third issue is coming out in a week from Wednesday and the final one will be out a month after that.  I'm not expecting the DLC will be released shortly after this, though.  My guess would be late this year or even early next year.  BW still has the hammerhead plus that Kasumi character to release.

We will just have to wait impatiently :D

I guess there is actually a good chance that after the Liara DLC is finished, she would be able to stay on the Normandy as a crew member to interact with. That would set her up as a squadmate in ME3 and allow us to talk to her whenever we want (mostly to continue the relationship and afterwards, stare at her for hours:wub:).
Would make sense, what reason would she have to stay on Illium after Shepard has sorted everything out?
Anyone think that if Feron is in the DLC, he will have a nasty "accident" (what? being shot in the head qualifies as an accident) and Shepard will have to comfort Liara even more?

I'm hoping he is already dead because you just know that if we rescue him the devs are going to write in this big emotional reunion scene with him and Liara that makes the one with Shepard look even more like a pile of crap.

If she is all hugging on Feron and sloppy kissing with him I may have to throw up in a bag and ship it UPS overnight to Hudson's door with a note expressing how the writing in ME2 makes me feel.

I doubt this.  First of all, there are only 12 spaces on the selection screen, and the last seems to be Kasumi.

Second, and more importantly, I suspect that Bio is planning to make the ME1LI/ME2LI conflict one of the big scenes of ME3.  If Liara came aboard, there would be no avoiding that for those players who weren't faithful in ME2, and I don't think Bio would waste that showdown for a DLC.

So, although I'm pretty optimistic that there will be a Liara DLC, I'm not sure how far it can or will go relationship-wise.  I suppose a Shep who romanced her in the original could get the DLC choice to follow it up with something nice or say "this isn't a good time" (a catchall to put her off without a thorough hashing-out dialogue)...

impatiently is right

Plus, bump for lovely blue <3

I also doubt she'll be joinable in ME2. But achknowledgement is all I want, really. Maybe we could stay at her place...in Illium..for a night. I'm sure it's nicer than my cabin.

I can wait for the private time in ME3. If the ME1 vs. ME2 romance 'showdown' is going to be a emotionally intense, like some people are saying, then I hope it's equally intense, but in a good way, for those of us who remained faithful.

Hmmm, I think that they will release the Liara DLC not long after the final issue of Redemption as a way of exploiting the hype and maximising the profit from the DLC. If they release it a few weeks after the final issue of Redemption, then the story will still be fresh in everyone's mind and gamers will be eager to help Liara out. If it's later this year, then everyone will have forgotten about it and their profit won't be as great.

Also, I could stare into Liara's eyes for hours.

Exactly. But I hate waiting..:pinched:

I also think it'll take some time until a possible DLC. BW has a lot to do, but hey, hope dies last.Right? right?

tbh they kinda ruined the character in me2, so i'm hoping she won't be back. i wasn't attached to her in mass effect 1 though - she wasn't very interesting, other than being a scientist character amongst a boatload of soldiers... and there's no way they can bridge the shift in character in the 2 issues left in the comic series (story is ok though, artwork is passable but not very good, covers are awesome).
