Since this is a spoiler forum, I don't mind sharing my excitement here about the trailer for the DLC.
I'm sticking up for Meer. He IS Shepard....is he dead-pan in some parts? Yep, Just like Hale is during some parts. Both are good Shepards.
I also liked Shepard's line: "Cerberus gave me data on where to find him.....interested?" Don't know why, but I enjoyed that revelation.

Really? I facepalmed when I heard it. Once again, Cerberus managed to pull something out of their ass.

It's not that surprising though, T.i.M states early in the game that he doesn't trust SB, in his mind, "don't trust" seems to mean "needs to kill". Who would be better to send than his newest prizefighter Shepard?
Why the hell he says that Liara might be working WITH SB after the events of Redemption though is beyond me.

I find it silly. Mostly because Cerberus seemed to have spend most of their resources assisting Shepard fighting the collectors, and if Retribution is any indication. Then they swiches their focus onto Reaper-study pretty quickly.

Just seemed cheap that Cerberus once again pull something off. Especially since it cheapens Liara's search! <_<

Tali and Garrus will be in my squad just hope we get some squad banter going on between them "it'll be just like old times"

If Overlord is any guide, I doubt we would be hearing much in terms of squad banter beyond a few lines. (Then again, Overlord didn't have any squad dialogue at all.)

Same here. I was a big Liara fan back in the days of ME1, but became miffed by her behavior in ME2, and I do hope that this DLC does make me love Liara again.

Granted, I am a big Tali fan myself, but the way that those Talimancers act has given me some pause.

Here's to Liara!

I know what you mean, I wanted to get the information from Liara as well, but I'm just not surprised it came from Cerberus. Besides Liara was hampered by Nyxeris for some time.

Hi5 and swinging a jug of ale for a Liara filled september.
LotSB will hopefully clear up a lot of things.
Tali IS great. But she can't hold a candle to Liara though ;)

True, a solar flare could knock out the electrical grid that day and leave me unable to purchase/play the DLC, but of course, if that happens, I would probably have greater concerns at hand.

Well, before I finish tonight, Id say that from a content perspective, LotSB looks to be more than good enough. It looks like its got the right amount of stuff that doesnt just require brainless shooting (Im really looking forward to this carchase, Ive long though its something missing from ME, heh) like much of the other DLC. Not to mention it looks like it has my hopes for Liara content covered nicely.

All Im hoping for now is that on top of all that goodness, it bears good news for Liaras role in ME3 and being a squadmate, rather than an early cushion for disappointment. Its been half a years wait (well technically way more given the cameo annoucnement before release), but heres to hoping things keep climbing right on into ME3 for Liara fans, rather than bottoming out again come ME3.

Nah, "the blue rose of Illium" is Liara's father.

It would be pretty interesting, I have to admit, if the asari Spectre in question turns out to be Liara's father.  Imagine if she had been using her Council-given resources to both investigate the Shadow Broker, and foil his attempts to take Liara's life over the past two years.

The only problem I can see is that if this character doesn't survive in to ME3, and isn't developed in ME3, the introduction of her character would be far too abrupt and jarring.  It isn't good storytelling to introduce a character so important to another, formerly-established major character, without dropping hints of this character's existence, importance, and roles played, along the way.  We know practically nothing about Liara's father.  Additionally, it isn't good planning to have such an important character introduced in DLC.  Not everyone will buy this DLC.

Liara looks more "blueberry" now.
