No, I was paying attention.   It's quite obvious that it is just about a vendeatta, but I guess I hold out hope that it will be more than this....like, to recover Feron's corpse.

And Im not saying anything "cant be", I just think Liara taking what she needs from the SBs toppled empire works better and gets her back in the thick of things, as opposed to feeding it out across the game in a static and linear role as a main supporting character like TIM.

But she is toppling his empire and she is directly opposing it.  I think it could be called a 'war', but that's my opinion.

Decisions made about squadmates dont really impact the plot at all. Its not about impact, its about being there in the middle of it. Sure, Jack doesnt spout the plot shuffling dialogue that TIM does, but she can be there damn near every step of the game. That beats a standard plot device character like Anderson or TIM.

Or, she cannot be.  That's why Jack never has anything interesting or profound to say about the mission.  She has nothing to say that Garrus or Jacob or Miranda or Kasumi don't also say.

Thats okay. You would be okay with the inferior, linear plot role ala TIM where Liara will spout dialogue to move the plot along and have very little room for any sort of romance. All Im saying is I hope thats not the case because, given Liaras ME1 role, thats by far an inferior role.

As I always say, look at Anderson. In ME1 a HUGLEY important character to the plot. What does he do? Early expoisition, nothing for the main bulk of the game, then punches Udina (possibly) and possibly becomes councillor.

And by the way, what exactly has given you the impression ME3 will follow ME2 exactly by creating only a squad near completely detached from the main plot? Liara could already have a role comparable to that of TIM or Anderson in ME3 with the right elements (e.g. this whole "possible reaper info from SB"). That way she gets both the luxeries of being "optional" with the added ones from being plot crucial. Just like her ME1 role.

Also, since ME2 set up the decisions at Noveria and Feros for a potential return, it would be a nice theme of events and characters from ME1 taking a centre role in ME3. Liara returning to her original role seems a better conclusion than an Anderson typed small plot role.

Well, what gives you the impression that a non-squad mate cannot have a meaningful romance with Shepard?  We are both making different assumptions here.

I guess it all depends on how they do the ME3 squad mates and I think this is where the disagreement lies....they could have Liara be a squad mate but and non-optional, so she is very plot crucial....or not.    They could do it like ME2, where you are just recruiting bodies to throw at the mission and they don't really have any plot critical role (minus Mordin).  I guess I just think that they will implement it more like ME2....I hope I'm wrong.   Regardless, I think my point still stands that Shepard and her could continue the relationship even though she's no a squad mate.

If not then I have one to test if it will be possible in ME3...having mabye a chance for my Shep and Liara to express the love to each other in the heat of the last battle would be awesome.
And I'm also drawing a Liara fan art at the moment Lot of Mass Effect for me so close to DLC.

I noticed that most Shepards who romance Liara are female. I had a Fem!Shep who romanced Liara once. However, I'm beginning to get annoyed by the amount of Fem!Shep/Liara pairings and lack of Male!Shep/Liara. Does anyone else feel the same?

(P.S. I have no problem with people pairing their Fem!Shep with Liara. I just wish that there were more Male!Shep/Liara out there.)

I used to only have one, but now I have 2 males . 1 loyal, 1 Tali-cheatin' ( and 1 fem shep). I'll enjoy seeing how they all play out.

I noticed that SB's voice was alot like a Reaper. But I think thats because the SB changes his voice via a machine when he talks to other people, to inspire fear/mystery/awe/respect in them.

That's also one of the many things bad with Redemption.

And to all who didn't read it, here's what you need to know:

There's this Drell Han Solo wannabe named Feron who sacrificed himself in order to make it possible for Liara to escape with Shepard's body.
PS. Liara got her hands on SB data, what it contains is unknown.
PPS. SB's enforcer is named Tazzik.

Yeah, so far Ive seen nothing to confirm that as a reapers voice. Voice could just be the SB who just sounds like a reaper because its an intimidating voice, or maybe a reaper does play a part somehow maybe in a deal with the SB, and thats its voice.

Its one of a few things Im looking forward to finding out though. I was worried they might not give the SB story the attention it deserves in a DLC, but it actually looks worthy to be in the main game.
