Also remember that if the SB is a Reaper, then a plothole will be created.

How so?

If the SB was a Reaper all along, then why would he oppose and punish Fist for joining Saren?

"NOTE" This doesn't exclude the SB from being a pawn of the Reapers mind you, there's a possibility that they indoctrinated him or somethng during the events of Redemption.

That is a good point. However, I do like to keep the option open that the reapers arent all mindless automatons, and that given supposedly "each is a nation", it means they have conflicting views on things.

Its not very likely I admit, but I dont mind the idea of a "rogue" reaper. Not reaper "good guys", thats not what Im suggesting. Just something that could perhaps show that not all reapers blindly follow the same goal as if they are near unthinking machines.

It wouldnt matter if it never came about, as it likely wont, but still like anything its an opportunity for different things to happen in the plot.

A little something else to chew on is the rachni wars - supposedly attributed to the reapers. Now the reapers in dark space cant indoctrinate them, thats impossible. The only option we know of would be sovereign, but why would it do that? Why would it instigate a war that nearly wiped out most of the major races in the galaxy? You could argue it was to keep the galaxy weak and ripe for the taking since its close enough to when Sovereign activates the relay. Still, that little stunt would have probably left most of the galaxy dominated by rachni if not for the krogan (which I refuse to believe the reapers predicted all along).

Listen, what has occured is that a bunch of regulars from the femshep thread and their own Liara group has trolled this thread and nearly started a femshep/maleshep war.

They should go to the femshep thread and change the rules to allow shep wars if they want to. Dont bring them here. And they shouldnt come here spamming half the page or more with pictures, regardless of whether its Liara or not.

End. Of. Discussion.

There is plenty to discuss ABOUT LIARA, and if that cant be done, there are other threads and groups that can accomodate the stupid attitude certain folks have tried to bring here.

Are you on crack, or something? PseudoEthnic started whining about femShep in the middle of a discussion between players who prefer to play as femShep. That was the troll, not the people who defended their choices. Then you come along and stir up the whole fem vs male Shep thing again, and then report everyone else?  You are a sad, ssad person. Grow up, will you?  You come in here and try to bully everyone into what you want, I see it happen time and time again. Its no wonder nobody cares to discuss anything with you, or even allow you in thier discussion groups.

Yes, there is plenty to discuss about Liara, so why don't you try and steer conversation that way if you think it needs, you might be a bit more successful than starting off attacking everyone currently in the thread.

And for the record, lots of people that used to hang out in this thread are now hanging in private groups because of you, and people like you. Just saying, in case you haven't figured that out by now.

That's also one of the many things bad with Redemption.

And to all who didn't read it, here's what you need to know:

There's this Drell Han Solo wannabe named Feron who sacrificed himself in order to make it possible for Liara to escape with Shepard's body.
PS. Liara got her hands on SB data, what it contains is unknown.
PPS. SB's enforcer is named Tazzik.

PPPS. Let's not forget that the whole thing was sponsored by TIM from the start, to whom that SB's data went in the end along with Shepard.

And what I can't understand, why it's such a big deal that Liara has been "obsessed" with revenge for these two years. To the Asari two years are like two months. Kind of natural for Liara to spend them on finding out what happened to Feron. In my opinion.

@Sunny.......right on girl, some people can't see themselves for what they are, pseudo intellectuals that need to tear everyone else down so they can feel good about themselves....except they are left all alone with themselves.....tis a pity what hate can do, makes you a pariah....

Can't we all just love Liara and get along? Who cares about the rest? Everyone in this thread has been waiting for this moment...for nearly 8 months....two days and we are there.

Everyone's Shep acts different and we all role play in different ways. The bottom line is my role play is mine and yours is yours. The thread is here to talk about all things Liara.

End line.....

Oh Dink, that's really mature of you to PM me all that hate and then block me from responding... Shall I just post my response here for all to see? Hmmm?

For everyone else in the thread, I apologize for the off topic-ness.. Your favorite Mr. Negative left me little choice.

And to get back on topic... I am still spoiler free, and will be experiencing LotSB and Liara with out any previous spoiler influence!

well...one "galaxy generation" earlier the galaxy was only habited by Protheans...so they dont mind if its just one race. They probably dont care if they create one Human reaper, one Asari, one turian,....or if they create 15 rachni reapers.

They use everything one way or another. It is a possiblity that it was sovereign trying to "thin the herd", since it took a long, long time to clean up all the protheans, and they were just one race.

Ultimately we arent any better of than we were when ME1 ended in terms of actually knowing much about the reapers. Its one reason why Id like to see Liara take the time to perhaps learn something from the SBs files until ME3, and then be able to come along with something during ME3 to be a squadmate again.

Easy answer. The reapers didnt want to be found in dark space(and the citadel is not necessarily the only mass relay to reach it)

After the war with the rachni, the citadel forbid to open new relays and that was also a reason why the turians attacked the humans. Mission accomplished.

But then a new problem arises. We know the collectors have been around for a looong time. And they must have done some genetic research regarding the two citidal species at the time, the Salarians and Asari. So why would they wanna cull the entire galaxy if the current species are unworthy. Unless of course, the Reapers just want to make a new generation of Collectors.

"EDIT" This discussion isn't really about Liara, we should finish it ASAP and move on to something relevant.

UH UH uh uh...I got something! ... I got something!

Out of all the possible Squadmembers of ME1 and ME2 with who do you guys think Liara would have most likely a friendship...or have the best connection to (she might not call it friendship).

Good question. Here's my list over the people Liara would get along with the most.

Ashley
Kaidan
Tali
Miranda
Samara
Mordin

I didn't mention Garrus mostly because that even in ME1, it didn't look liek they had a real friendship. More like two people sharing the same work place so to speak.

hmmm always had the feeling Ashley wouldnt really come along with Liara...well could be because I played mostly maleshep.

I think that Liaras fascination with Information and old cultures could somehow connect with Kasumis interest in Art and "lost or old culture"...I see a possibility that they could quite fast find something that fascinates them both.
Also I think Liara would might seek out Samara...first because shes also Asari, but second because maybe she would look for some kind of counsel or adviser (after all Justicar are very respected by the Asari people)...so after Shepard she may be the person Liara would respect the most , meaning she would seek Samara out in time of question or help.

Yup, good question.

Id personally add Kasumi to that list as well, since they are aquainted already.

True.
Liara will never be able to be true friends with the alliance soldier that is the opposite gender of Shepard mostly because they will always be competing for Shep's heart!

They wanted to stop those races to open new mass effect gates. Thats all. They are vulnerable in dark space.

I think Liara would be most likely to form a friendship with Tali ( little sister), Miranda (big sister ) or Garrus (big brother ).

She'd have scientific curiosity in common with Mordin but little else

Although Samara is also Asari I think her personality and Liara's are polar opposites, I think their relationship would be somewhat formal
