This feels more like an apology and a "Here's something that should have been here in the first place, but here you go".
But despite those things I still loved it.
Liara romance is great, the banter between her and Shepard is decent. The small extra bonuses you unlock after competing the DLC is awesome (I loved the intel on Legion). Altrhough I kinda wished Aeytha wasn't Liara's "dad"!
The only really bad thing about the DLC is the fact that it seems to make it clear that Liara will be our new "Timmy" in ME3. But even then, Shepard's last line give's me some hope.

I think Feron sits there for a reason...my guess is he will take it over if you get Liara to end the information broker business at the point where you've found everything you need against the reapers. So I guess in ME3..after a timepsan comparable with the end of the horizon mission... she will join ya if you want for the final battle.

Hopefully your right. And regarding Feron, despite his Han Solo wannabe-ness in the comics. We finally got a Drell that wasn't made out of 100% annoyance.

I hear you, yet I think they actually more appropriately just explained "why" she has changed. I didn't get the "apology" vibe at all. I got that she has matured in such a way and that there was just too much emotion present for her to get over 2 years of mourning in one meeting on Illium. I think BioWare outdid themselves with Liara's character.
I take back every negative thing I've said about the writers to this date. I humbly apoligize and take back the criticism. Some stories need to fester, resonate and cook for a bit before we get resolution and look at what it did. Had Liara just joined back with us in the vanilla ME2, then this DLC wouldn't be as EPIC as it is.

Okay the apology was meant to part of the " blabla".
But still, here's some hope for a good ME3! "raises glass".
PS. I loved the fact that Liara show some genuin care for Shepard, mentioning the fact they I took casuelties on the citidal.

Can you start a romance with Liara with a single-Shep in this DLC?

I dunno...I still had the urgent need to punch him!
But I guess it wouldnt be a complete "You annoy me"-Punch...it would be more of a "Take your hands of my girl"-Punch!

As for apologies, the only time I got that vibe was when the Asari Spectre mentioned Akuze. Thanks for that, BW.
That annoyed me a bit. Tooms and now her (hipocrate - I know the what´s at stake with Cerberus and tried to get Council help first thing, she was just paying back a favor). There were quite a few things in the DLC that seemed acknowledging complaints from these forums. This, the lacking (to put it mildly) interactions with Liara, Shepard´s
So SB´s reason not to kill Liara was just a wait and see approach it seems. The moment she got close he went for the kill.
Anyone failed to uncover Nyxeris? What happens?
Probably much more satisfying than the original mission from the audio files.

Maybe Feron is set up to end with a non-romanced Liara. She´s matured a lot, I can see her accepting Shepard doesn´t love her and try to move on. He is a bit more sympathetic after 2 years of torture for giving Shepard a chance, even with the drell flashback trick it must have been bad.

I think it's possible if you're allowed the hug option, and then hit the paragon trigger to confirm your interest.

I think that's what's gonna happen. If you don't romance Liara, or never will, Feron and her will get close.

Other than that, I thought the DLC was great. I want to try it before the suicide mission to see what changes. I feel like it actually makes much more sense to do it before the suicide mission because the conversation on the Normandy about promising to come back would feel much more pertinent if she knows Shep is about to head off to possibly die.
Has anyone finished it during the campaign?

Something that still doesn't fit for me: Liara BARELY knew Feron before he got captured. That element seems quite forced.

I did both. The only changes really are that she says you're going through the Omega 4 Relay instead of going to fight the Reapers when they arrive. It actally fit very well given that I only had Samara's loyalty mission left before going to obtain the IFF.
I was hoping for a bit more interaction with her after you return to the base but no.

Liara needs a new desk. She just stands there, in that dark, cold Shadow Broker office.
She also needs to say more then "Thanks for coming by" like a scary creature. I wish they pulled a Dragon age, and allowed you to ask how she's doing, and have the option to kiss her.
