Something that still doesn't fit for me: Liara BARELY knew Feron before he got captured. That element seems quite forced.

She admited that herself. It was a nice touch. Considering how fast she falls for Shepard in ME1, I´d say before the 2 years of beating herself she had too much empathy. She even felt sorry for Saren after all.

At least with her falling for Shepard you have the (admittedly poor) excuses that he/she's the last remaining connection to the thing she's dedicated her life to studying, as well as someone she's joined minds with several times.

It's one thing for her to feel guilty and want to help Feron - but her being so hell-bent on revenge feels really out-of-place. Plus there's the fact that the entire time she's with Feron she's totally focused on Shepard.

Redemption is mentioned in the cabin if Miranda was romanced.

For those that didn't get the "I gave you to Cerberus" part, she'll tell you it when you give her the Shadow Broker's data. It's not as good as the first one, but she does say she was worried about what you become, what you'd remembered, and if you still had feelings for her.

Okay. So i've just played it through with my single-Shep. And while I was sad I didn't get the ability to romance her (Maybe I just took the wrong dialog options?) the friendship path when you speak with her in the cabin is PERFECT, I took the lower options and I loved how Bioware somehow managed to make it fit perfectly with how I roleplay this one Shepard.

Anyway, anyone got any conformation about the ability to romance her if you'r Shep is single?

I don't think you can to be honest.

Does anyone know where to find good Shepard/Liara fanfiction, preferably with a male Shepard? Can't seem to find any, which is a shame.

Liara needs a new desk. She just stands there, in that dark, cold Shadow Broker office.

What she really needs is a Normandy to sit in, but failing that I don't think a chair would be too much to ask for, the last Shadow Broker had one. Besides, between EDI and Legoin her old room is a bit cramped.

Really good. If you haven't played it yet, after the boss fights, watch for interrupts like a hawk. They're really brief. I missed a couple and even refought the last boss fight because I missed one.

Anyone else borderline scared that she won't be a team mate since she's the Shadowbroker ... ?

You're not the only one. I really missed her in Mass Effect 2. I'll just be happy for her to have an active role in Mass Effect 3.

Plus the dlc is optional.... hopefully she also becomes the shadowbroker without your help - that would increase her chances of having a bigger role in me3.

Feron and the VI could (hopefully) take over things while Liara and shep save the galaxy again. Must remain hopeful!!

For some reason, I think it matters if you romanced her or not. Example, if you're not going to romance her, they play a dark theme at the end, with her working the on the network. However, if you did romance her, that theme music never plays.

But if you didn't do the DLC, I'm sure she gets the base by herself.

I played the liara dlc and enjoyed it a lot, as i stayed loyal to liara and did not cheat on her so i was happy to finally meet her. One problem i had thought is that, maybe because i am not native speaker so i don´t get the full meaning, i didn´t understand the ending very well, so i was hoping that maybe some true liara fan could help me a bit, and maybe explain a bit what was really going on.

I am mainly refering to the scene when liara goes to the normandy (and you romance her), and she changes from being happy to then suddenly starting crying and then she have fear that shepard may die again. What really puzzled me was how shepard instead of saying things along the lines of "i´ll never leave you", he goes and gives liara a spank in the ass (correct me if i am wrong, but that is what it looked like to me). I don´t know, i kind of didn´t understand what was really happening. I understood that liara had fear of loving shepard and losing him/her again, but other than that i did not understand shepard attitude, specially at the end of the scene, i noticed that he changed his tone to a more sarcastic way (specially if you pick the higher option) but i don´t understand the intention of it or why after that he gives her a spank and then liara loves it?

Sorry i ended up writing too much, i hope someone can shed some light and explain what on his/her opinion was happening on that scene. Thank you in advance for any help :pinched:

Feron and that AI being there are quite comforting to think of it. If she was by herself I'd think we were screwed guys. However... near the end of the DLC she's always talking about how she can help you in the future against the reapers as the Shadowbroker.

I'm scared. Someone convince me everything will be alright.

Shep reached for the small of her back....Liara wanted him to promise that he'd come back and/or stay alive, because she couldn't deal with losing him again. Shep was basically telling her not to worry about it, and be in the moment.
Let's face it...if Shep dies the galaxy is kinda screwed.

Another thing about Lair of the Shadow Broker, is that in the Liara romance ending, Shepard does say that if the conflict against the reapers ended tomorrow, there could be marriage and a lot of blue children for Liara and Shepard. This implies that marriage DOES exist in interspecies couples in Mass Effect (at least in terms of asari and non-asari couples). In Mass Effect 3, I'm definately going to have Shepard ask Liara's hand in marriage.

I couldn't help but think of Team America when that bit came up, needless to say it ruined the mood slightly.
