I have to say, I loved all the banter between Liara and Shepard in the DLC. It really bumped up my love for Liara's character several levels. And, in all honesty, it made the relationship feel more real. From Liara's back seat driving, to Shep poking fun at her for being "Captain Obvious" when they were infiltrator the SB's ship. They felt like an old married couple or even real close friends.

I've been thinking of rebooting my "canon" story, and in all honesty, seeing all her development, I may go towards Liara as my main squeeze. :P

This is insane........:*( i really am in love with that women now and i honestly have to replay through whole of Mass Effect 1 and 2. Please Bioware I beg you, please make it possible for me to romance her even though I fell for Ash in Mass Effect 1. I so regret i do now, i mean common....COMMMON. It feels so much more real with her then any other one, except maybe Jack who is also really awesome, but again, Liara has shown me her true side and feelings not through a regular meeting with her and engaging in dialogues but rather through the actions she took to bring me back to life. Its a complete new side of her. And omg ASH can honestly just go the **** away, that **** couldnt get past the point that i was working with Cerberus, and the more i think about it the more i realize how freaking idiodic i was listening to her bull**** poems all damn even right before the lovescene in ME1 she babbles about poems and quoted stuff. I am like annoyed with her now.

Iam sorry i am venting now but hey, i am a man on my knees asking another women to forgive me for not seeing and her inner beauty all along.

And you did this to me Bioware!!!.

Just like the freaking Reapers caused societies to develope along certain paths that they desire, you have had our/my hearts in your hands all along directing it. And i must say, you have caused me to develop feelings for a women that I now see in a completely different light :*(

It'll be alright. Liara does have this effect on people, once you get to know her.

Yet you might have to load up that ME1 in order to fully enjoy the romance though.

That was my original fear as well... but seeing how Feron is remaining on the SB ship with her and the VI... I can see Liara making frequent trips off the ship to visit Shepard. I can also see her setting up satillite operations center in her apartment and the Normandy. I don't think she will be out of touch. I actually like the ending of the DLC because of how Bioware made it. She's the SB yes... but she reaffirmed her love for Shepard and with the comment about marriage and little blue kiddies... I don't see her losing her focus.

I envision she will be a mission giver and vital NPC in ME3 that you can interact with as well. At least that is what I hope. If Bioware pushes her to the back burner now I will not purchase the game. They have created and now enhanced an epic love story and there must be closure to the Reapers and to that love story.

I second this opinion. Play ME1 again with her as your LI and then it will be so much more fulfilling when you play the DLC. The emotions you endure will be wide ranging and well worth all the work!

Because of this DLC, liara is now my canon LI. She was a bit boring in ME1, but i chose her because i didn't really like ash and it felt more in-tune with the events of redemption. She is now my favourite woman in mass effect due to her character development in lotsb, and shes a hot blue alien chick.

Would it be so bad to know that even if Shepard fails and the Reapers wipe out all sentient life in the galaxy again, that Liara could survive on the Shadow Broker's ship?

Liara also deserves a few bonus points for how great she handles the "Break up/Moved on" issue

the Scene really feels like an Couple deciding to be friends

Gotta say, I was pretty much sold on Tali for a romance option after Liara was limited to a few lines of dialogue, but after LotSB: damn, Bioware did a really good job on the romantic tensions between Shepard and Liara, regardless of whether you stayed loyal or not. This DLC made me like Liara WAY more as a character and gave her so much more depth. At least one of my main Sheps is going to stay with her through ME 3 now.

I have two shepards.

Soldier who stayed loyal to Liara

Adept who went with Miranda in ME2 just to get the Achievement.

I deleted my adept character without even playing him. I don't even care to see that scene cause I can't go with anyone else now!

Now who is going to question that Shepard didn't memorize all of Liara's erogenous zones in the month they had before he "died"?

He had her gasping and doing that "freaking black eternity thing" even before he got her out of the dress. That was epic if you ask me. Truly epic!!

I love replaying ME1, mainly for Liara but the entire story is far more epic than ME2 IMHO, virmire and the final citadel battle are fantastically epic.

Sounds like a lot of people are coming around to Liara, good! I always thought she was one of best characters in both games (sans the initial character assassination in vanilla ME2). It's a shame not everyone will play this DLC and get to see what Liara can be like.

Have fun playing ME1 again!

I can't remember the exact wording, but there was a bit where Shepard said something like "What are you going to do, have me hack a few terminals again?"

I don't know why, but I really liked that line. It was a nice way of apologising to Liara's fans for what we got in vanilla ME 2, and showing that it annoyed Shepard just as much as it annoyed us.

I've seen several people here saying that it still seems a bit unbelievable that Liara would be so hung-up about vengeance for one guy she didn't even really like. While I have to say that I agree, what you've got to understand is that Bioware really had no way to 'fix' this. Redemption, and the default ME 2 dialouge didn't leave any room to play around with the story line or introduce any new motivations. They just had to do the best they could with something slightly sub-par, and all things considered, they did it rather well. While Feron is the 'reason' for going after the SB, the DLC feels much more focused on Shepard and Liara, than it does on him.

On a side-note, this completely messes up my Fanfiction subplot with the Shadow Broker being a Reaper. I guess I'll just have to come up with some sort of work around (the one you fight in the DLC is actually a hologram or something like that). Curse you Bioware for not basing your plot on mine :D

Oh, and just to agree with everyone else here, LotSB is goddamn brilliant.

No its not that i loved ME 1 the problem is that it would be my fourth playthrough and its just really frustrating cause my third one was that kind of playthrough where you do everything, and i mean EVERYTHING, i just hope i will have the energy to keep me going, but Liaras commitment to me is what keeps me filled right now, she would do much more to be with me :*) i want to do it for her guys for her /cry

If there's anything I didn't like in the otherwise perfect piece of DLC is the slight hint that Liara might not be coming back in ME3 as a playable (as in, one that could be take on a mission) character. I can see how she could end up being on the Normady but just can't see her running around with a gun after assuming the role of SB.

The only way for her to join your squad is to pass this role of the SB on to someone else...and I think she will do that once you know all you need about the Reapers and you're ready for the final battle.(and I guess that at least a third of the game will be the final battle)
