Unfortunately, that seems unlikely. People have, to my knowledge anyway, ripped ever audio file that comes with LotSB, and have found several unused ones, none of which reference Liara's birthday. I agree that it would be a really nice touch though.

Anything interesting in those?

Hey Indigo.

As for the question. The prothean orb thingy, and a single blue rose from Illium (if those thing exicst and aren't just a fancy name made by Charr).

Also just completed the DLC again with a Femshep who romanced Liara, and I can safely say that both Meer and Hale did a good job in the DLC. And as a last note. The cabin-reunion is FAR better if somebody died on the suicide-mission compared to if everyone got through alive.

Can I ask what the difference is in the reunion if somebody died?

I can't remember the precise dialog spoken but I'll try my best to summeraise it.

Shepard: Between you and me. I have no idea on how we're gonna do this, i'm doing everthing I can but...

Liara: You've done more than most.

Liara: You and your team destroyed the Collectors, that's im--- Oh, you lost people. I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking..

Shepard: You know. I can't even mourn, not really. I have to keep the team focused on the mission. (Shepard actuelly looks sad now)

Liara: The team isn't here right now.

Shepard: How many do I have to lose? How many before it's enough?

Liara: I asked the same question two years ago. But you're back now..

"EDIT" fixed a few typos.

Yes, I just did that scene with a Shepard who lost someone on the Suicide Mission, and dang, let me say that I'll have to agree with you on that. Now I'll probably have to lose someone on my next Suicide Mission.

*Looks at Zaeed*

What? He was supposed to be another Leader squadmate anyway!

If you're going to kill somebody, might I suggest doing it via the lack of a ship-upgrade. It's alot more convenient for you (less mining to do ;))!

Alright, people; Liara's birthday is coming up! What is your Shepard getting for her? (The obvious reply notwithstanding)

Mine is giving her the Prothean Sphere he picked up during Firewalker and a glass rose with internal holographic iridescence.

Kaya will take Liara on a trip to Earth. Highlights will include the British Museum, the Pyramids at Giza, and the Mayan ruins at Palenque. Let her geek out.

Yes. It's a masterfully crafted scene if you do it that way. It really shows that Shepard is begining to tire out (and perhaps loosing some faith in himself?).

The only bad thing is that you can't pick the "i'm frustated" dialog option since it doesn't make that much sense given the context, but the "I'm worried" options fits right in like I showed.

But on the flipside. The "I'm frustated" options make perfect sense to pick if everyone got through alive on the mission.

Still, I prefer when somebody dies.

Hmm, may have to try it on a previous playthrough. I don't go out of my way to kill anyone on the SM, but it has happened when I've failed to get either Miranda or Jack's loyalty in their confrontation scene. I didn't think the cabin scene could get much better, but what you've described sounds very moving

There are certainly a few characters I hate and love to kill off, if only so I don't have to deal with them in ME3. But since this thread has become to peaceful after the DLC, I don't wanna risk proving a flame war.

Is it wrong for me to think that this song reminds me of Liara and Shepard's general situation in ME2?

Maybe when we will visit the Shadow Broker's ship 2 months after finishing the mission, we will get an extra dialogue.

I guess they could always release it as part of an update.

Or maybe it's only a hint from BioWare, they are telling that they should release a (bridge) DLC in the next two months, which begins with Liara's birthday.

If this is the case, i will also give her the (useless but beautiful for her) Prothean Sphere:D.

I was going to say I can see why you would choose that song. It seems to fit (but man, that guy's voice drives me up the wall.......their songs can be beautiful though.........with a different singer):D

Hmmm... Posted Image Now, I'll listen to Coldplay from time to time, but I'm not really into them.

This song really reminds me of Liara and my Shepard. Although, if jazz isn't your thing...

And I've said it before, but I'll say again that Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life" should be the theme for Redemption and Leona Lewis' "I See You" should be the overall theme.

Hmm. Haven't heard the jazz song yet, but those other suggestion are good (althrough i'm not excatly sure on the Avatar song).

But let's make a Liara/Shepard theme song list!

ME1=?????

ME:REDEMPTION= Bring me to life

ME2 (pre-lotsb)= The scientist

ME2 (post-lotsb)= ????

Overall theme= ?????

Everyone should post their own suggestions!

The comparison mainly is in regards to the nature of asari melding.

I know why you chose it, and the deeper meaning of it. But it was more in the line of me just being biased against the song, mostly because I felt that Avatar must have been the most "average" movie ever (I was also rooting for the PMC to win). The song itself was decent enough.

I'm not to sure why, but this song here makes me think of Liara, and the Asari in general.

Yes, excuse my Forum noobness, I'm still unsure of how to paste links properly.

Main theme... Undying Love... Two steps from Hell. The tone and pace of that instrumental just fits so well with their overall relationship. At least to me.

On a side note... I'm retooling the first chapter of my Liara/Shepard story and hopefully will have the first one shot... where they are from Liara and Shepard's views... up this weekend.

When I think of redemption, I think of "Save Me"

When I think of Lair of the Shadow Broker (pre-release) I think of Lightning's Theme from FF13.

And "Fire Treasure" from Castle of Cagliostro.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNxnIPVDyqE&feature=related

But now that Lair is out, I think of "Vigil" and "Love Theme".

This has gotten me thinking of songs as well.

This is my Shepard's theme, at least, his pre-history's theme. I chose Mindoir and Akuze. Needless to say, he's a traumatized individual whose beserk button is threatening his friends and if you hurt Liara... Well, anyway, here's the song: www.youtube.com/watch

As for their love theme, nothing beats the classics:

It's so sad and beautiful at the same time with an underlying tenderness.
