You know, for once I thought that having Femshep wearing the dress seems appropriate (aside from Kasumi's LM).

Nice texture mod.

...there's no actual texture mod in that pic, but thanks all the same.  :)  I really like the dress that Liara wears to the Normandy rendezvous - I think it's the classic look from the original asari concept art.

Yes: this is the only occasion (apart from Kasumi DLC, obviously) for which my Shepard wears that dress.  In my case, the meeting isn't romantic, but Liara is a close friend and spending time together like this is a special occasion.  So why not dress up?  Liara did.  (But that doesn't mean my Shepard is going to be commanding the Normandy in a little black dress and heels.)

Anyway, I'm just so glad that Liara got her due in the LotSB DLC.  Epic asari (and Bioware) triumph!  <3

I was wearing the MaleShep suit when I started talking to Liara in the Shadow Broker Base. Am I the only one that felt like I'm turning into the Illusive Man, except I'm pro-alien?

Heh. You're not alone regarding that TMA.

Found that alien concept art. I knew I remembered Liara's beautiful dress from here:

It's a beautiful dress. She looks like a goddess.

To my mind, seeing that dress again was symbolic - as if fans of ME1 and its characters were being told that, no, they weren't forgotten. As well as, of course, simply being a beautiful dress that really suits Liara. :-)

EDIT: Speaking of lovely asari dresses, the one in this concept pic would be very nice on Liara too:

Furthermore, I stumbled across this concept art of Benezia that looks so much nicer than how she ended up in ME1.  I mean, this Benezia actually looks like she could have been a meditative spiritual leader:

What I love the most about the cabin-reunion is how Shepard feels completly tired and worn out, almost like he's lost faith in him self. And Liara is once again the person who comforts and helps pull Shepard up again.

My MaleShep thought he moved on till this DLC, and romanced Tali.

I cried during that scene. I missed Liara so much. I'm surprised she took me back. I finally got to know the real her, and now have a reason to fully love her.

She has proven to be the one who always wants to help you with your problems, and listen to what you have to say.

I don't know how you played it. But the best variation of the scene is definetly if you lost people on the suicide mission. Shepard shows even more emotion, and Liara says what I think is one of her best lines in the game.

Shepard: How many do I have to lose? How many before it's enough?

Liara: I asked that question for two years. But you're here now.

I won't deny that after that dialog. Some emotions leaked out of that sour rotten apple where a human heart should be!

I wish someone recorded that, since I don't want to kill any teammates. However, I found it odd she didn't say anything to my first Maleshep, who had half the crew die.

I also like the bit with the dog tags. Wish I could say both versions.

With version A) Shepard says thanks, and Liara tells him "Not everyone gets a second chance to get something back. But sometimes, people get lucky." I relate to this because I almost lost the relationship by going with Tali, and felt like I really got lucky.

While version B) Shepard says it's been forever since he was an Alliance Soldier. First he gets tapped from the Spectres, and now Cerberus. That he's now just a source to be used, and everyone wants to be his friend, and it ways on him.

Hmm. I think in your case option A seems best in context with the situation, but i'm not in any position to tell you how to play.

Still, with my canon Shepard I took option B.

i think version B is better. Shepard seems a lot more human when he says that, and even more so if you choose the "I'm Frustrated" dialogue afterwards.

Not really a big Liara fan, but I liked her characterization in LotSB, good stuff. Plus, I do have to say, her outfit was a good compromise between cool looking and practical.

Liara's story in LotSB was a good way of having a supporting character's story enhance and clarify the main character's story, something that I think was often lost sight of during the main storyline of ME2.

OK, I finally played through with my OG Shep that Tali-cheated. I think I played through every dialogue option, and every interrupt option. I was amazed by how understanding, but sad Liara was. I enjoyed that she still flirted even though being "sorta" rejected.

I cannot for the life of me, however, understand why she didn't get more angry though. I understand her personality doesn't quite swing that way, and that Asari probably have a bit of a different outlook, but I thought after that 2 years she would have put up more of a fight.

I know she wanted to be with Shep--period. She can use the two years of mourning as an excuse, but I don't buy it. I understand there is a larger issue (reapers), and there is a friend option, but I think I expected more of a fight--even making Shep feel more guilty would have sufficed.

Was anyone else a bit let down by the results/dialogue/banter of the Shep/Liara breakup aspects of this DLC? I know most here were generally loyal, etc, but I thought there would have been more to it...more heartache. But as Liara said I guess the future may hold something different and maybe a reconcilliation to the romance.

I desperately want Liara on the ME3 cover; that would be amazing. I know we are going to get another placeholder cover first like ME2 to disguise who is really on our squad, but something like that Avatar-ME mashup cover (I have it saved somewhere) would be amazing.

Liara is the only possible squadmate (of those we have now) to be on the cover, since she's the only one (possibly) alive. So unless Bioware wants to make something canon, then Liara or new squadmates are the only choices.

And also. ME1 box-art is sooooo much better than ME2's average and bland box-art.

For those that haven't romanced Liara in ME1, does anyone know what she says if you ask her about Feron?

The reason why I'm asking is because some people claim you can't romance her in this DLC. If so, that might be because they want to leave that for ME3. The same maybe said about Ash/Kaidan, and their DLC.
