How do you join, I tried to get in two or three days ago but they've ignored it/declined it. Which is why I'm asking what went on.

I asked and they said you have to be invited to join.

If you don't mind me asking why didn't they invite you? I thought you was one of the older members. Unless it's not for older members but they just like to find people who think EXACTLY the same thing.

Do you have a screencap of Liara looking around in your quarter before she says something Indigo?
She puts a smile on in that moment, right before she says the first words in your quarter, that is just wonderful!

Not the best screenshot. But Liara looks so concerned for Shepard during that moment.

Consider if you will, the following;

The climax of ME3; the final boss, whatever it may be, lies defeated. Shepard and Liara stand before what will stop the Reapers once and for all. But they find out that in order to do this, a price must be paid. A life must be sacrificed. Shepard volunteers, and makes for it. Liara tries to talk him/her out of it, fails, and is forced to put Shepard in a stasis. Then she makes the sacrifice herself, saving Shepard one last time.

So, boom, the Reapers are defeated, eveyone rejoices, except for one Spectre, holding the lifeless body of the one person in the universe they could ever love. Fade to black aaannnnnnnd...

Speaking personally, I would be like "Kill..."

I actually made a discussion like this on the fanclub...If Mass Effect had a bittersweet OPTIONAL ending.

I seriously doubt Bioware will force anyone to kill their Shepards LI, particularly since it looks like its supporting role city for pretty much every previous squadmate character in ME3 if you read Liaras post-suicide mission talk as confirmation that she wont be a squaddie in ME3.

They often make conscious decisions on many things to avoid confusing and angering fans, unless under very specific circumstances (like the ME1 LIs in ME2 for their attempt at a "dark second act"). I cant imagine a forced death of a chosen LI would go down very well with anything more than 0.1% of the playerbase who chose and kept an LI, and Im sure Bioware knows this too. If its the ending a player wants, Im sure theyll have a lovey dovey "happily ever after with lots of little blue children" ending to round up all the effort thats been put into the trilogy by the player.

Denying someone that after theyve invested possibly over a hundred hours into their Shepard save file throughout the trilogy is just a sure fire way to have lots of pissed off fans complaining.

i personaly would be ok with this if that would be the consequence for you failing some missions or objectives . but if everything done right then i want an happy end that gives a whole new definition to the word cheesy!
ugh controller....

To be clear, what I would be "Kill..." about would be the jarring, intrusive blaring of the Mission Complete screen, not necessarily the actual ending.

The mission complete screen sucks no matter what it follows. I hope they ditch it for ME3, and tone down on the frequency of load screens. Surely finding a balance between loading screens and "masked loading screens" ala elevators and scanners etc. isnt too much to ask? I still have good memories of Wrex asking Liara who she thinks would win in a fight between her and Shepard.

I believe she asks him if its the nature of krogan to size everyone up for a fight, even their friends.

Im pretty sure he just nonchalantly replies "yes", at least if my memory serves.

Yeah, but that line is about as sig worthy as they come, so its along the right lines.

My favourite is the flirting about the last time Liara put pressure on Shepard.

Flirting with Liara was in pretty short supply in ME1 even, so seeing a little in the DLC was great.

I would love it if we had the choice to sacrifice Shepard and his LI to save the galaxy. Imagine Shepard and Liara realizing that they must sacrifice themselves for the greater good, embracing one another for the last time, and walking towards death to assume their destinies as the pair of lovers who saved the galaxy.

That would be a powerful ending for me. If there is no ending that deals with personal sacrifice of either Shepard or a squadmember, I would be very disappointed.

If that's how the ending actually goes I'd be thinking more along the lines of:

"Critical mission failure"
/reload

I can't imagine how the reapers could only be stopped by someone killing themselves but if that's how it is then it isn't going to be Liara, I can assure you. Either way though, I hope there's some dialogue after the last boss in ME3, more than in ME2 at least.

Well anyway, before I go again Ill just leave this idea behind: It definitely seems weird after all the waiting to finally know that its probably going to be a while before hearing anything about the next DLC, and even more so for anything about Liara in the future. It got me thinking how nice it would be though if Liaras Shadow Broker role and her new base playing a supporting part in some future DLC as well. Personally I think it would be a great opportunity to see stuff added to the various cool little features the DLC brought in, with the little text based missions you can assign, and the video footage and info centre with lots of cool little snippets about various characters. It was definitely something even I liked, and Im pretty sure its gone down well all around with most folks, Liara fan or no.

As unlikely as it may be, it would be a shame to simply have it only play a substantial part for pre-suicide mission Shepards with gametime left.

if that were the case i would imagine plenty of pissed off people at the end of that , and that does not seem like something the devs want but hell what do i know im just some random person from dertroit. simply put i would say that would be a major fail

I could imagine that Shepard and his crew has to destroy something in order to stop the Reapers, but whoever stays behind to destroy the item won't make it back.

Hehe. Jacob's my ace in the hole.

But I think one of the most hearthbreaking endings if I had to sacrifice either Liara, Samara or Garrus.
