As much as I hate Udina he did way more for Shep than Joker. (Shep meeting Liara for the first time ).
All Joker ever did is have Shep die for two years and leave Liara behind.

Possibly the only reason most of my ME1 playthroughs are Spacers is because I want my Shep to be able to have that scene:  "Mom, this is Liara, my fiancee."  For irony's sake, they can, you know, have the Colonist and Earthborn characters meet Admiral Hackett face-to-face in that scene... maybe as whichever ship Captain Shepard is CO of in the Spacer origin comes in to play Big Damn Heroes-slash-Deus Ex Machina after a 'Boss' mission?  Damn, these contrived reunion scenes write themselves .

And I'd love it if they could squeeze some high-speed facial expressions, too -- shock, comprehension and acceptance within about, oh, two seconds or less?  That is, if this is the first time that Captain Shepard is meeting Liara, which is kind of possible, they did go right back out after the Battle of the Citadel according to the prologue.

That is a really good idea!  Its a nice option to give to the faithful few, while those who cheated can only take their relationships so far.  Nice.

The only thing that would worry me about that would be the damned media. Look what they did with ME1 when sex scenes were introduced. I think they'll avoid it for that very reason. I think it will end with a romance, that's about it.

I don't think it was so much the interspecies thing that got the idiots pissed off, but more that there is brief PG-13 nudity. So for me, Shepard and Liara marrying and having children won't attract the attention of the moral guardians. It'd be a fitting tribute for Shepard and Liara's love, that they do marry and have children, and is something I'd like to see for having a romance with her over three games. It'd be a very heartwarming and moving ending.

What really got the media going was Cooper Lawrence giving a weird description of Version 1 GTA San Andreas on Fox Noise (thank you, Olbermann) for Mass Effect when she never played the game.  Oh, excuse me, Gamesharked Version 1, because technically, my original copy was effectively M-rated, not AO, I didn't have a cheat device.  But I digress.

Liara did get the game banned in Singapore, though, just because of femShep/Liara depicted lesbian sex, or so I have heard.  (Not going to get into the debate whether or not it is -- except to say "Yes it is, Kaidan had a point after all, and I love BioWare for doing so :wub:".  Alyna, Anya, and Kyra Shepard are all very glad to have someone to love, especially someone as sweet as Liara.  Oh, and Kelly's sort of cute and I might have been tempted if there was no LiLi.  But there is, so there .)

They don't care about that in DA.  I'm playing through as a human noble right now and she doesn't look anything like her family.  They are all blond/red haired and blue eyed, and she has raven hair and brown eyes.

Maybe she was adopted.

So they announced the Kasumi dlc today. A few of us thought maybe Liara could get announced but no such luck.

Any romancing or sex is strictly off bounds for anyone who isn't Liara for me.

No it wasnt, since it dosnt count as a romance.
But who knows how it will affect ME 3...

Also played with him being totally faithful... bad conscience strike...

I would be pissed if my Shep couldn't get married to Liara and have children.
I couldn't imagine BioWare actually denying us FemShep players a proper conclusion of the romance.

I couldn't see doing them that though, it is not like it hurt sales when people found out about the lesbian romance.

Do Asari even have marriage?  I always hear their partners referred to in-game as "bond mates".  It doesn't seem like they're real huge on formally tieing partners together.

Imagine a ME spinoff set 700 years after the events of the original trilogy, and you get a cameo appearance from Matriarch Liara. If you romanced her, then she'd talk about Shepard, and you'd see her asari children too. Heh, I can't imagine Liara as a matriarch.

Neither can I, but I'd love to see something that explore how her lifespan shapes Liara.

I asked this on the Miranda thread, but I'd love to have your opinion: how would a post-ME2 Liara get along with Miranda, assuming Miranda is still working for Cerberus and did not romance Shepard?
