I take that that means you'd prefer that she stay the SB and help Shepard that way.
Yes, I think it's only logical. Shepard has plenty of squad mates and biotic specialists already. Not to undermine Liara's abilities in combat, but there are plenty of people around the galaxy that can do the 'biotic powerhouse' job for Shepard. However, I feel there's only one person that Shepard trusts enough and has the training and mental capabilities to do the SB job and collect key intel for Shepard to use against the Reapers, and that one person is Liara.
I kind of agree w/ that, but only if Aethyta is the biotic powerhouse/bartender.

That sounds pretty reasonable, jlb. Now that you've made me think of it, it does seem logical. Of course, we'd all want ample conversations with Liara even if she's not a squad mate.
Well, if she acts as a quest giver and the story forces you to speak with her at various intervals, then I don't see why that would be a problem. There would be ample opportunity for dialog with her, and the romance could be continued in those converstions, or the friendship.

Yes, she should bartend on the Normandy or on the Shadow Broker base

She had some identity issues before...she was overshadowed by her extremely powerful mother, she never knew her 'father' was, her research on the Protheans was never accepted by her peers. I think LotSB shows us that she has finally comfortable with who she is and what she is best at. She now knows how she can help save the galaxy. I really like this.

I don't think Liara changed as much as she just came into her own element and now finally feels comfortable in her own skin.

Exactly... I felt like I had to drop in the old thread once I finally did get through the DLC, and... they did it. They made LiLi the new Shadow Broker, and made me believe why. And I can tell you that if any DLC would be worth the wait this was. Had plenty of action ... plenty of banter ("What's this armed with?" "It's a taxi, all it has is a fare box!"), and ... wow.

Hi Jayla! I'm glad you loved the DLC! It was perfect.

Furthermore, she intends to use said power, wealth and influence to change the organisation, the galaxy and the lives of it's inhabitants for the better! I love it!
I love the depth and development of Liara's romance. It's absolutely superb, and deeply emotional and moving. I loved every second of it!

Hell yeah! That's the 'compassion' part. That Liara...always thinking about others instead of herself.

So how do you think BW will develop this reclaimed love relationship ?
Beautifully well. The potential is enourmous, and I think the content of Liara's ME2 love scene gives a heavy indication as to the direction that Liara's romance will progress in ME3. Throughout the game, we will be treated to it's development into something truly deep, with Shepard and Liara truly becoming devoted to each other and starting to process of becoming bondmates. I actually subscribe to the belief that on the eve of the final battle, rather than show a "love scene" as we have become accustomed to, Shepard and Liara's romance scene will be the pair of them holding their beondmate ceremony, and exchanging their vows. It would be a nice way of symbolising just how developed and deep the romance has become.
Suffice it to say, I think that ME3 will showcase the pair of them becoming true lovers, soulmates and bondmates, with the relationship developing into something truly deep. The romance has been reconciled...we're now able to enjoy it's progression and deepening.

Nice said...hope that comes true
I also think that they left Feron on the ship for a reason...Even if she doesnt become a squaddie I think you have the chance, if you romance her, to convince her to drop the shadow broker business and to follow you in to the happy end (or maybe a glorious sacrifice). However if you dont romance her I somehow expect her to stay as the shadow broker...with Feron on her side.
I also expect that you can first time romance her in Me3 as well.

The difference with the DLC is that now Shepard and Liara can finally re-affirm their love and it's not stuck in limbo like it was in ME2. They have become true partners and have joined together in the epic task of stopping the Reapers. The DLC is bittersweet because they must spend time apart in order to accomplish this, but we see that the love is still there, and it remains strong in spite of the having to carry out their respective duties alone. I think love grows stronger in these types of situations.

I'd like to see some progressive paragon interrupt dialogue develop with subsequent visits to the SB base
I'm hoping that they'll go off together on some missions, meet Liara's father and for some Shepard's mother.
I'd love to see how the Normandy crew interacts with Liara and what they have to say to Shepard about Liara.
Where or what should happen with Liara's upcoming birthday ?

A quick trip to an abandoned Prothean dig site! An ensuing battle with mercenaries bent on their death! A harrowing escape! A triumphant return to the Normandy! A steaming hot scented oil bath and massage from Shepard! The rest...
I'll leave to everyone's imagination!

J makes an interesting point regarding the fact that love deepens and develops in the situation that both Shepard and Liara currently find themselves in. Physically, they are apart for the time being. However, the romance has been reconciled. They both have extremely important duties, and they are both fighting for each other. In this forthcoming Reaper war, Shepard and Liara are relying upon each other to succeed, and the level of trust and devotion within their romance is astounding. So, whilst they are infact physically sundered for the time being, they are fighting for each other. The romance has been reaffirmed and reconciled, and they both know that the future is bright for the pair of them, and that they both have alot to look forward to.
I just love the fact that both Shepard and Liara are fighting for each other. The depth of their romance has developed into something truly incredible.

But, I think that is one promise Shepard can't really make there. But, it doesn't matter, they are together for the time....they will enjoy what they have together in that one fleeting moment.

I thought it awesome how BW brought closure to the open questions/ doubts from ME2 but they also opened the door for a story line that could indeed become quite Epic however I think it will take a lot more to get from drinks on the Normandy to little blue babies
