Do you think that once Shepard dies and she is left alone for those hundreds of years she will take on a new lover?

Heh, we had this discussion earlier and alot of us felt not. Shepard is the first and only person who has ever meant something to Liara in her life, and once Shepard is dead and gone I can't see her moving on easily. Shep's lifespan is probably greatly increased from all the cybernetic implants, too, so maybe Liara will get to spend alot more time with Shepard than asari normally do with humans. Once Shepard has gone, I can see Liara raising her children and partipating in community and societal affairs as a means of honouring and remembering Shepard's legacy.

Well he did feel terrible aboute it...  after.
But hes a bad boy. A kid from the slums of earth that take what he can get. And he has bean dead for two years...

Besides, 2 things:

1. She already knows how he is when it comes to thing like that... And I belive she is ok with it as long as it dosnt meen anything to him. He will always come back to her and he loves ONLY her.

2. The future will reveal if she in fact has stayed loyal to him...

The issue would be a femshep marrying Liara.  Gay marriage and everything.  Throw in kids and you'd have a real ****storm.

I would be pissed if my Shep couldn't get married to Liara and have children.
I couldn't imagine BioWare actually denying us FemShep players a proper conclusion of the romance.

I couldn't see doing them that though, it is not like it hurt sales when people found out about the lesbian romance.

Do Asari even have marriage?  I always hear their partners referred to in-game as "bond mates".  It doesn't seem like they're real huge on formally tieing partners together.

Yeah, it would be marriage in the sense of "bond mates".
Humans and other species who get married would most likely consider it a marriage though.

Neither can I, but I'd love to see something that explore how her lifespan shapes Liara.

I asked this on the Miranda thread, but I'd love to have your opinion: how would a post-ME2 Liara get along with Miranda, assuming Miranda is still working for Cerberus and did not romance Shepard?

Interesting question, and I do feel there was alot of wasted potential if you took Miranda with you when you went to reunite with Liara again, likewise with Tali and Garrus. There could have been some interesting conversation between them.

I feel that Liara will have mixed emotions with Miranda. On the one hand, she did head the Lazarus Project and bring Shepard back to life, but on the other hand Miranda is still a member of Cerberus, the organisation that Liara has spent two years beating herself up over handing Shepard's body over to. She'd be grateful for Miranda helping to ressurect Shepard, but also somewhat hateful as Cerberus are still "the enemy", and with the way TIM has emotionally manipulated Liara I can't see her being fond of them at all.

Yeah, I know humans can live to be about 150, and that was before they came to the citadel.
Id imagine that would give them newer medicine and such, plus Shepards cybernetics.
I would never want Liara to move onto someone else.:crying:

I have to say, in the next 30-50 years we should have the means to extend life for a couple hundred years.

In ME2's time, we should have the ability to extend it to at least 1000.
Shep could very well live as long as Liara.

So they announced the Kasumi dlc today. A few of us thought maybe Liara could get announced but no such luck.

Hopefully after the Redemption comic ends.

Was that at GDC?

I thought BioWare have a conference on Saturday?

Fingers still crossed.

I dont know, in ME1 humans were about 150. Now at galactic level Im sure that we can extend it a few hundred years but I dont know if we could rival the lifespan of the asari or krogan.
I was thinking maybe 250-350 years.

Shepard is 29 at the time of ME, Liara is 106. Therefore, Liara is obviously about 70 years older than Shep.

Wouldn't that be a cruel irony if Shepard were to outlive Liara? :crying:

No, stop it, stop it! Can't think bad thoughts! Only good Liara thoughts! ^_^

This is off topic, but you can't even talk to Kasumi.
The same thing as Zaeed, but we have to pay...

Come on BioWare, we need a substantial Expansion: The Liara Expansion.

As you said, we should only think good Liara thoughts.

I found the info. It probably won't release any new info. It's about how they redefined the ME experience.

Link.

It is interesting to mention that part of this article is about "Attendees will understand the potential risks and rewards of implementing significant design vision change in a sequel."

Should be interesting nonetheless.

Did you know that I never realised until a few days ago that Liara carresses Shep's cheek just before she starts kissing him/her in the cabin? When I did realise, it was such an "Awwwwww!" moment.
