I agree wih TMA LIVE, jlb524, and Jayla on the subject of Liara's focus. I think this goes back to her passionate personality. She has a sence of personal responsibilty to the people she cares about, or those that help her, which one could refer to as a "duty" ethic, or form of loyality (which I find attractive, but hey im a obsessively heroic paragon;P). So basicly she felt an obligation to return the favor to Feron. Heck I even felt slightly jelious of this "Feron" guy in the beginning(though I felt i could trust Liara about stuff like that, but dosent mean my mind dident "go there"), but I also felt like I was duty-bound to save his butt for saving mine and Liara's butt's. It was a mutuial butt saving;P.

I have to wonder what Liara will do with her new private army? Having some hired muscle that we never see is one thing, but she now has some serious manpower. Grunts, specialists, drones, mechs, gunships and who knows what else. Heck, she has her own Cerberus now.

There are a lot of possibilities, but all that comes to mind right now is filming a Shadow Broker Commando version of the "Poker Face" music video.

well thank you sir...I think you just implanted Poker Face in my head every time when I look at Liara...
I hope I dont find myself one day drawing Liara in a scene of the poker face video with some dancing mercs...

It's almost as if she treats it as a form of a life-debt (which is how I think of it).  One life for another...you save hers once and she will do everything in her power to do the same for you if needed.  I think she has a strong sense of personal honor and is not busting her butt just out of a simple obsession over Shepard, as some have painted her actions in Redemption as being.

No, it's the same. The only difference in the scene if I remember correctly, is if you bring you ME2 LI. If you don't have one, or didn't bring her, Shepard just walks away to help the other character. But if you brought a ME2 LI, an extra shot is added of Liara looking at Shepard helping his ME2 LI, while Liara stands and watches, before turning away sad.

EDIT: I redid the scene. It's the same. I just remembered it differently. It doesn't matter if you brought an ME2 LI.

That's kinda my opinion at this point. Given her new role as the SB. She could accomodate Shepard's mission better from behind the scenes with intelligence rather than being on the front lines with him.

See, this is my point of contention. Personally, I think Liara will end up with the most lines of dialog of any of the past squaddies by virtue of the fact that she still has a 100% survival rate, the only one with this designation. If she is a squaddie, she will have to most dialog; if she is a background person she will have the most dialog in comparison to ME1 people. Or they will axe everyone and start over from scratch.

Liara would not have left in the time after defeating Saren and the Reaper. She would have stayed without question if you consider what she said in ME1 about Unions. Whether they were fighting Geth or not, they still would have been together almost all the time I assume.



Did anyone notice that in LotSB... it was Liara who did not want to put pressure on Shepard. I just realized that after a ninth playthrough. She says she misses him/her and doesn't want to put pressure on him/her. That tells me just how badly she loves him/her. Damn... you need multipy playthroughs to catch all this stuff or have it hit you finally.

And I would be fine if she wasn't a sqauddie as long as you get interactin with her every time you see her. And not just giving out missions either. I'm talking personal interaction. Having them discuss their feelings for each other, their future. These types of things.



Though I do hope she becomes a squadie at some point near the end for the final battle. I would think that if there was a chance one of them was going to die, then they would want to be together and perhaps die together. Just thinking.

New one. People want to forget about Redemption anyways, and the new one is more accurate to Liara's personality.

yeah I actually think so too...the new armor is a bit of a symbol to.
Guess the reason why I cant decide is because I already did the Redemption cover once (makes it easier to draw a second time).
