Did anyone notice that in LotSB... it was Liara who did not want to put pressure on Shepard. I just realized that after a ninth playthrough. She says she misses him/her and doesn't want to put pressure on him/her. That tells me just how badly she loves him/her. Damn... you need multipy playthroughs to catch all this stuff or have it hit you finally.

I got it first time I played. Loved Shepard´s answer too.

My favorite lines are a tie between the "Marriage, old age... " and the "it´s not still tomorrow". Also how she guessed on the spot what SB was and how he was in charge. Great bluff.

DLC armor for sure. I´m not as negative about Redemption as many, but DLC armor has a better color scheme to me, is also distinctive, and enhances Liara attractiveness without going into fanservice... unlike any other female squadmate save for Tali (and here probably only for the obvious reason). In fact, I think she is the only one wearing an actual light armor.

I loved her intimidated-yet-adorably-confident facial expressions at this part.

LotSB is definately the best story dlc to be released for Mass Effect 2 so far, and I get to be reunited with my lovely asari companion, fighting with me in pitched combat. Ah, love.

I'd also argue that LotSB contains some of the best dialogue, bosses, and level design in ME2.

Morning folks:)
Ive wondered about asari tongue color too Captain.Iglo.
During the comics it seemed to go back and forth from reddish pink, like a human, to a different shade of blue. But since I know now that their blood is a dark violet color(as evident from what Tela Vasir was leaking;P), I would assume it would be a different shade of blue, assuming that their blood color helps to influance the color of their skin. That just makes the most sence to me so far.

Hello Liara lovers and devotees!

I've just created the following poll, which asks users to vote for the romance which is not necessarily their favourite, but the one that they believe to be the most well-written. Any contributions or votes would be very much appreciated:

While I'm not able to vote on it, I can give the following;

I'm rather torn between Liara and Ashley for "Best Written". In ME1, I felt that the romance buildup for Ashley was better written and more fleshed out than Liara's. Not that I didn't like Liara's, I just would've prefered the additional content that the others had.

Then we have the Liara romance, which gets significantly better when you take it over the first game, the comics and ME2. There's connection, friendship, love then loss, distance and uncertainty followed by reassurance and renewal.

On the whole, the two romances have their own strengths. With Ashley, we have strength in self-containment, as in you can take the half of ME1 and it's still very good.

On the other hand, we have the Liara romance which I think has so far recieved better writing on the overarching story. But it's not as strong when you take the half of ME1 as a standalone affair.

So, I'm having an extremely difficult time deciding which I think has better writing. And another thing to take into account is my own reluctance to give a judgement until we get whatever VS DLC that I believe we will get.

Had to vote for Liara, but Tali comes in a close second.

Anyone notice how Shepard seems to know Liara's erogenous zones quite well, judging from the romance conclusion? It seems that Shepard must have memorized a few things between Mass Effect 1 and 2.

OHMYGODINDIGOWOLFEHATESLIARAHE'SABADGUYKILLHIMNOW!!

But you make a fair point. One thing I think the human LI's in ME1 had as an advantage over Liara, was the fact that they didn't dedicate 1 out of their 3 conversations to talk about how their species mate. So instead we have conversation about their backstory, which I would wastly prefer. This sorta bordes with my complaint about an abseloutly lack of backstory (aside from a few facts) regarding Liara.

Also I think we should also wait to make jugdement until we get the VS DLC, then we can judge all the difrent romances and how they are so far in the story. And we can make our finale judgement once ME3 is released.

Yeah, I kind of have to agree w/ this.  In ME1 Wrex, Tali and Liara were all essentially walking codexes. Liara just happened to have a romance stuck in there.  I loved Ashley's character, flaws and all, and if I could bring myself to play a dudeShep I'd romance her in a heartbeat, but oh well.

But even then Wrex and Tali (or atleast alot more than Liara) told stories from their life. We know abseloutly nothing abotu Liara other than a few facts. We're never hear her talk about a time when she made a great discovery on a prothean digsite, or how she once presented all her knowlegde and findings to a meeting of Thessia's greatest scientist only to be laughed at due to her youth. Which is a great shame.

I remember that day, I logged on my FB account and then I saw "Lair of the Shadow Broker Announced" and I was like wooohoo ! at last ! after 7 months of waiting !
Yep, that was quite epic. :)
They should announce next DLC in next month, really I'm tired of waiting (Ashley/Kaidan DLC of course).

I remember logging on, and was talking to someone about how the Liara DLC might still be a few more months away, or might have been canceled and saved for ME3. Then some random poster was made a thread talking about Liara, and in it, he/she was asking about what people thought of the pictures. And I'm like "What pictures???" So I looked in the image gallery, and saw that pictures were being posted before the announcement happened.:blink::blink::blink::blink::blink::blink::blink:

And then I saw a picture of Liara, and I was like :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub: THE REAL LIARA'S BACK! IT'S NOT THAT SNAKE THAT WAS IN HER OFFICE. IT'S THE REAL LIARA!

By "put pressure on", she meant urge Shepard to take a more active stance on their relationship rather than letting it happen naturally.

Perhaps. But you never know. If the next DLC is another part of the bridge, then I wonder if you'll have to complete LotSB before you unlock it for playability.

Most likely not, but if it is like that, I wonder if there would be any chance of additional involvement from Liara? If the VS DLC has anything to do with the thing Kasumi's partner discovered, which I have a strong hunch it will, then if there's anything that can uncovering it again, it's the Shadow Broker's resources.

Although I suppose we should start saying "Liara's" resources now, shouldn't we?

You're right, also if a think that it's impossible to have a DLC that can't be played without Lair of the Shadowbroker. Another Liara's DLC, maybe near to the ME3 release? Unlikely, but at least possible. At the end, she is the Shadow Broker.

Time to celebrate the event guys:

Dedicated to Liara , Lair of the Shadowbroker and to all the fans who waited patiently for 2 months, after 7 months of speculations, and almost without any news except the last 2 weeks.

I don't think that will happen, because that DLC would have to be designed around "what if" you never downloaded Shadow Broker, which is too complicated. DLC is already a hit or miss market. You don't know what people will download, and what they won't. Or there isn't enough people who downloaded it to justify making it, etc. So I think this is it for Liara DLC till ME3, besides Liara having an alternate short cameo appearance.
