Tomorrow is 2 months from the LotSB announce... who remember the wait? xD

Maybe another announce tomorrow... for the new DLC?

Perhaps. But you never know. If the next DLC is another part of the bridge, then I wonder if you'll have to complete LotSB before you unlock it for playability.

Most likely not, but if it is like that, I wonder if there would be any chance of additional involvement from Liara? If the VS DLC has anything to do with the thing Kasumi's partner discovered, which I have a strong hunch it will, then if there's anything that can uncovering it again, it's the Shadow Broker's resources.

Although I suppose we should start saying "Liara's" resources now, shouldn't we?

I don't think that will happen, because that DLC would have to be designed around "what if" you never downloaded Shadow Broker, which is too complicated. DLC is already a hit or miss market. You don't know what people will download, and what they won't. Or there isn't enough people who downloaded it to justify making it, etc. So I think this is it for Liara DLC till ME3, besides Liara having an alternate short cameo appearance.

As there are really no choices aside romance in LotSB, they can just default to Liara as new SB, but considering the VO problem I don´t think we´ll have more than probably some references.

Just played LotSB pre-SM. Shepard´s talking about Horizon and being able to talk his discomfort to someone about the tactics TIM uses is yet another thing I missed from the main game. And Liara´s answer both admitting she´s not the best to judge and that she trust your morals was good.
If there´s a VS DLC I´d like that addressed. While expecting them to go AWOL to join Cerberus is too much, they are the characters from ME1 who don´t trust Shepard´s reasons to be with Cerberus (that is - no one else has both resources and will to go against the Collectors). Apology expected.

they really need to have Liara in ME3, i play mainly femsheps and Liara is the only decent romance option...Kaiden is let down and the ME2 female LIs are all uninspiring...a brown plank of wood or an alien...nice choices...not

If they dont bring Liara as an LI for ME3 then at least give us another Asari squadmate/LI

My Femshep. The one I've been playing for 5 months, being loyal to Liara. The part of me that didn't want to give up.

Shepard: I'm always coming back.

Liara: (sad) Are you sure?

They begin to cuddle.

Shepard: I've manage to come back so far.

Liara: You make a compelling argument.

Shepard: Oh, I'm just getting started.

Does anyone know what Liara says if you hit "I'm worried about you" instead of "Our relationship"?

Don't know exactly... but I did see it on Youtube. I'm pretty sure that is the friendship route.

Yeah, but the question is: What kind of role will she play and how much effort and time will be invested into the writing for her? After ME 2, I thought that they had tossed her aside, and that her role in ME 3 would probably be equally disappointing. But after this beautiful DLC, I am hopeful that there will be a proper continuation and conclusion to her story and her romance.

Well for BioWare games those romances that are intergrated into the main plot line tend to end up getting the Lion's share of the attention in terms of resources and writing, it's just the way it works. It seems that Liara will have an intergral role in ME3 since they're setting her up (or at least her network) as the new information and mission hub, so I guess Liara fans will sort of luck out and probably end up with the best romance arch in the Trilogy.

As I've Said b4, I think Liara will be back as a squadmate.
for one she has'nt had the possiblity of dieing in the Suicide mission.
and they would'nt spare her for a role like the Council or TIM.
also shes still mostly into the protheans, I bet u'll need her help to figure out more about them and maybe one of the ways to stop the reapers, and if that means ur going to ancient prothean sites, shes gonna wanna come along. :P

Also I don't think she'll have the shadow brokers lair for long, it's too much of an advantage for shep going into ME3, the reapers would more than likely put a stop to her network.
Remember the many indoctrinated slaves the protheans had in their ranks during their downfall? it's gonna happen again, might even have plently of reaper servants currently around already that we don't know about.

anywayz we'll hafta see what happens, but after LOTSB DLC, i just got the feeling she will be back in the squad.
well I hope so at least, she was my favorite in ME1, with legion and samara and garrus favorites in ME2.

I don't think she'll be a (permanent) companion in ME 3. I would like it a lot if she would be, but I think it's unlikely. I think the writers have installed her in a position where she'll play her important role in ME 3. But I don't really mind, as long as there's one equally beautiful scene that properly concludes the romance at the end of ME 3. And maybe even several conversations throughout the game. In that case, for all I care, they can provide a new crew or continue with the one from ME 2.

see this is the hard part for them, they got alot of old crew to think about now, specially for those whom saved the entire ME2 crew.
And just like in ME2 tho, old crew will return, bioware does appreiate that we like old favorites back, reason why they keeped us in the dark about garrus returning, that was one of the best surprises in ME2, hehe.
I think we will get some old teammates back in the squad in ME3, and she still would be one of the old crew more likely to return, with no problem of her been dead like most seem to have.
it will be interesting to see how they handle the suicide squad in ME3 and if any of them return as squadmates.
Also ashey/kaidan, I reckon they may return too.
and btw, what they did with legion in ME2 was not good.. they create this unreal char, only to have him recuitable at the end of the game, he should had been in sooner.
anywayz back to Liara, you are right, it is upto bioware ultimately, we all hafta wait and find out when ME3 rolls out, :P.

I wonder; if you romance Liara in ME1, rebuff her before Ilos, then remain loyal throughout ME2, will Shepard still say "I have fond memories of the last time you put pressure on me"?

Yeah, just tried it. She's kind of mean in it. You tell her how she hasn't been the same, and she says something like, "What do you want me to say? That I've mourned you for 2 years? That I've been plotting revenge. I had to do this and that, I made mistakes. But right now, the man that saved both our lives needs are help, so excuse me if I don't want to stand around, and admire the view."

Quesstion for you Liara experts.  Forgive any repetition on my part.  In LorSB when Liara asks how you are doing and you say are worried, she comforts you by reminding you that your team took out the Collectors.  It's then possible for Shep to say in a confident manner "yes we did" and Liara sort of looks away and down.  I don't understand that motion, what it is Bioware was trying to say.  Why does she do that?

Shepard's tone when that's said - if I remember right - isn't exactly friendly or even loving. The way it's said more like "You weren't there to help me take them down, I could have used you." It could also be a little bit of guilt slipping through on Liara's part that she wasn't by Shep's side while Shepard gallyvanted straight in to the maw of hell... again.

I got recordings (via fraps) of certain parts of LOTSB.

Dunno if that's any use.
