On the whole "Evil!Liara and Shepard rule the galaxy as a renegade ending to ME3" thing; as something to joke around with and laugh about? Yes. As a serious and possible ending to ME3? I believe the words are --in the eloquence of Sten of the Beresaad-- "no".

But a little teeny voice in my noggin tells me that no one was really being serious about it. My sense of humor seems to be a little dull today. :bandit:

And just as a heads up, I've started the sketchwork on new artwork featuring Liara and Shepard. It serves multiple purposes for me, the primary of which being of course, drawing my favorite character. The second of which being towards getting more practice with drawing interacting characters and the necessary poses. The last of which being it's something that I thought up for ME3 and I think would be absolutely awesome if it happened. Make of that what you will.

And the progress on the artwork that I've taken a break on is still there, I just haven't got back to it yet.

Not true. And I guess I'm rather sick of being mistaken as someone who actually thinks Liara will turn evil due to her position.

As I said; I'm not feeling very uppity today so I don't think I'll be doing much foruming --I don't want to take it out on y'all-- but I'm going with my family to an event with good free food, hopefully that will cheer me up.

Ah. I was just joking! :P

And FYI. Evil!Liara is just a running gag I had ever since I played KOTOR as dark side. I don't believe Liara will go all crazy, not even as the new SB.

Also good food for free? What kind event is that?

It's a picnic event for disabled children and their families, we try to go every year; we always have a good time. There's cake too. :wizard:

And the paragon ending needs to be a classic happy ending, with Shepard riding into the sunset, together with the LI of course.

No, i would prefer a different ending for each LI. The Liara's one, a scene on a home planet (Illium, Earth, Citadel, etc.) with Shepard, Liara, and all the childs, while Shepard's telling to the childs how he met Liara, how he had to kill Saren, let Kaidan/Ashley or Wrex die, how he (eventually) lost someone on the suicide mission for destroying the collector's base, and how he defeated the reapers. A thought to the past, and a look into the future, now that the Reapers are destroyed. A zoom into an Asari child's eyes, fade, end titles and a "to be continued" maybe with the chance to import Shepard's child for ME4.

Now, THAT would be the BEST FINAL SCENE EVER.

I wouldn't mind having a sneak peak of the future, or perhaps just a "x years later" ending where we see Liara and Shepard together with their children (if any), what happens in tha eprologue should depend on choices and decisions you did  throughout ME3.

If you Shepard decided to settle down we could see them on Earth/Thessia, if they decided to just travel abit it could show them on a prothean digsite.

If Shepard decided to remain in duty as a specter/N7 or something else entirely, we would see whatever ship Shepard serves on docking at the Citidal. With Liara waiting to greet him.

Don't know what the ending should be if you managed to get a renegade or pro-human ending, perhaps Liara is no longer with Shepard?

I have a suspect, that the renegade ending in ME3 will mean destroying the galaxy, or at least making an alliance with the Reapers for destroying all the other species except the humans, but at the end there is a betrayal from the Reapers and Shepard will be killed. If my suspects are right, we should be able to see a final scene only if we choose a Paragon (or at least Paragade/Renegon) line, perhaps just at the end.

It's unlikely that we will have different Paragon endings, but it should be. But this will mean an almost unique ending scene structure for all the LI, i would prefer a different ending for each LI, maybe shorter but different from the others.

No offence but I hate that idea. Renegade should also be able to get a "good" ending. If Shepard was pro-human/pro-Cerberus and killed the original council and preserved the Collector base. It should result in a human dominated galaxy where the other species have been "brought in line".

How Shepard love interest (especially if they are an alien) should vary. Liara might ditch Shepard?

Yeah, that would be an even better ending. But I doubt that we will see children of Shepard and the LI (in the cases where that's even possible), or even a mention of them. I don't know why, but it seems to be one of the things that BioWare do not want to implement since BG 2. Though the possibility was at least mentioned in LotSB, and that was a nice surprise.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble but there won't be any children in game, there may be mention of them like pictures or something but there will not be any in a portion of the game where the character is in direct control.

The simple reason is that putting children in a violent videogame is a NO NO as far as ESRB is concerned. So if there were children in an environment where there are also guns and death involved (even indirectly) ESRB will grant you another notch probably putting it into the dreaded [AO] category. And EA will not publish an [AO] game. Much as I am sure Bioware would love to include an ending with shep/liara's kids for story's sake they won't want to risk the ratings issue.

Uh, he/she meant Shepard's grown child, in ME3. Shepard's grown child is still his/her child.

Though, I'd like to see the ESRB wrap its mind around the concept of asari age.

I was thinking that makes sense given the other idiotic controversy this series has already run into. OTOH, there are rugrats in DAO. You can even off one (Connor). Heck. Limbo has a Teen rating and that has a kid being sliced, diced, and otherwise inconvenienced in all kinds of creative ways.

We were talking about the epilogue, after the reapers are defeated, when the player doesn't have any control about weapons anymore. Of course they could show children the protagonist might have with the LI then. It's an active decision by the developers or their publisher not to do it, for whatever reason. Not that it would be the most important thing in my opinion, the most important thing is that there really should be no mandatory "sacrifice" ending, but the possibility for a proper happy ending.

Not to be overly negative but do you have any idea how much work would go into something like that? you'd have to have 2 different sets of children modeled rigged and skinned with dialog and animations for each of them all of that with different scenes and settings. that is a preposterous amount of work for just an epilogue. not to mention the coding for the decisions leading up that would affect them.

I actually think that a significant amount of effort and resources should be invested into the different epilogues. Instead of the usual text boxes, I would like for the results of all the important decisions to be shown in actual cutscenes. I would be willing to accept if the main game has to be a bit shorter as a result.

Fallout 3 has the same rating as Mass Effect.

Fallout 3 has children in it , some of whom you can sell into slavery.

I doubt that children in Mass Effect would be an issue with ESRB

As long as Bioware learns from Bethesda and prevent you from killing any of them then kids in ME3 would be alright no matter how evil your charecter is.

As the schizophrenia in my mind would have it I happened upon a thought wilts perouseing the youtubs.

Mordin offers dating advice to Shepards who are going after Tali and Garrus right? like positions and things... Dose anyone know if he dose the same for Shepard when you are romancing Liara?

Don't think he does, since LOTSB was made after ME2.

Just another reason I feel it make sense that LOTSB takes place chronological after the endgame.
