Here's a more detailed Kasumi article
She's just like Zaeed as far as dialog goes.
Pfffft... ridiculous. At least that makes it easier for me to boycott that DLC. So far I've never bought any, and it seems it will stay that way for some time yet. Let's be honest, even if there will be a nice Liara DLC, that too is a thing that needed to be in the main game. Still, against my better judgement, that would be about the only thing where I'd be willing to let that kind of policy slide and buy it.
It wouldn't be so bad if they'd just give her a dialogue wheel. Honestly that's the only thing the DLC is missing. She's a new character with a full blown mission, new squad power, and all that jazz. The dialogue is the only thing missing, and I don't get why people are THAT upset about it anyway, it's not like all the current cast has more than 3 things to say especially if they're a potential LI. It's like instant access to their pants.

I was just thinking, what if at the conclusion of the romance in ME3 a line is uttered that harks all the way back to when the romance was started in ME1? Something Liara or Shep said to each other is repeated as like a call back? I can't really think of one.

I am wondering if, depending on what choices you take in the Liara Expansion, Liara's colour stays the same if you went the Renegade route and goes back to blue if you went the Paragon route in ME3.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
Looking at those pictures above, it's sad how much more pale she has become and how her eyes have become that dull grey instead of her normal vibrant blue. The two years really have taken it all out of her. :/
I guess it would make sense, if you went the Renegade route, she would still be on the Normandy and she would still be your love, but She will have the same attitude as she did in ME2 and she would still be grey because of her negative thought process. (Negative emotions will always stress you out).
If you went the Paragon route, she would go back to the old Liara and turn back in to her old blue (from Shepard helping her with her negative emotions through emotional and romantic dialogue). She would still be on the Normandy after and be your love as well.
No clue really.
I just want to see Liara happy and loving again as well.

I have actually heard that be mooted for what may happen to Liara in ME3. Renegades will choose not to comfort her and instead encourage her to utilise this badass facade, in a way turning her into the perfect foil for RenegadeShep, whereas Paragons will comfort and console her, encourage her to re-embrace her compassionate, caring personality and make her happy again. It's interesting how they could handle this.
I can see bioware taking this route. It would make the romance fit for both renegade and paragon shep.

We had another huge thread about Liara, although way more pessimistic, that had another 80 pages of stuff in it. We'd be closer to 400 if we counted that one too.

Yeah well, you know 80 % of the mission will be shooting stuff, right? At least I would be surprised if it were any different. But the main problem, as you said, is the dialogue part. I couldn't care less about dolls standing around on the ship and speaking a few sentences when I press a button. That's exactly why I don't buy DLC: Minimal effort to make quick money. I don't need that, there are always other things to play. Somewhat off topic, but if this is the quality of ME 2 paid content, it really doesn't speak well for the chances of a proper Liara DLC.

maybe something like " Liara I told you you were coming with me back when that krogan and the geth tried to take you from me on Therum, and I'm saying it again now, your place is always beside me...always"
Aaaw, I wish!

But it's very likely that the Liara DLC was made concurrently with the rest of the game, meaning that BioWare would've had their full resources at their disposal and therefore making it more substantial than the other "shoot shoot, bang bang" missions. Honestly, with all the emotions involved in what Liara is doing, I'd be seriously disappointed and annoyed if there wasn't intimate and deep discussion with Liara in the DLC.
This. Liara is also substantially more important as a character overall. They should take more time with her.

Ever notice how when Shep says that Liara is not going with the krogan, she looks at him/her as if she's already getting attracted and feeling something? Love the expression on her face there!

You think they will have any extra dialog for her if she is your LI?justinnstuff wrote...

Extra? Probably not, I'd expect it to be at least different dialogue. I doubt we'll get a fully different scene, but we'll get something acknowledging it. I just hope it's substantial.

YES I totally noticed that. Shep is like "She's with me." The look on her face afterwards is golden. I wonder if we can get a pick of that too.

Yeah, definitely. I believe they probably already made it, but are not going to talk about it until Redemption #4.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

The Liara storyline has already been setup to be an emotional, deep journey for Shep and Liara.
After having already setup the emotional times Shep and Liara will go through together in the Expansion, they couldn't change it even if they wanted to.
The story would make no sense without a lot of emotions, BW knows this. That is why it will be romantic and emotional.

You understandably wish for that, and I too of course, but all the evidence so far makes it seem less likely rather than more. And should they really have developed the Liara content during the main game and cut it out, it would be an outrage. Not that we'd ever know for sure that it was the case.

Makes sense to me. Develop the content at the same time as the rest of ME2, but hold it back until Redemption finishes so as not to spoil it. Thta's they way I believe they did it.
