Thanks for LotSB, BioWare.
This
is exactly how I hoped that ME 2 as a whole would have been. And of
course Liara's role in it. Well, almost. I would still prefer if the
whole story would have been different from the beginning, without
Shepard and Liara ever being separated for so long and for these
reasons, and therefore without any reason for Liara to search the SB,
but since that's the story that ME 2 began, I don't think LotSB could
have been any better than it is now.
They did something more, they definitely reaffirmed Liara as the most important character in the game. And all this only with a DLC. At the end i like how the things are gone in ME2, the reunion was great, and fighting with her against the reapers in ME3 will be sublime
And i want a blue Normandy again

LOL. I can imagine the crew's reaction to the new paintjob.
Garrus: So, nice new paintjob Shepard.
Shepard: I wanted to get back to the original Normandy. You know, no symbols or colors of a known terrorist organization, colors showing loyalty to the Alliance.
Garrus: And loyalty to your girlfriend.
Shepard: What do you mean?
Garrus: Liara suggested it, didn't she? (cracks an imaginary whip)

I wish there was more fan art of Liara and Maleshep.
Now that I think about it, I only know of three bits of fanart that show MaleShep & Liara, and they're all my commissions. Is Liara just not as popular with MaleSheps?

I wouldn't mind a little more maleshep/Liara fanart too. But femshep/Liara isn't that bad either.
And if it's any comfort, then i'm writing a new maleshep/Liara fanfic!

Good job so far I'm really enjoying it. Except... I had a very similar idea (for how it would start at least) to yours! Thankfully I've been planning out a couple fan fics so i can just go with a different one

Tali: And the blue contact lenses.

(Liara walks in)
Liara: Okay, break time's over. Joker!
Joker (saluting) : Yes ma'am.
Liara: Set a course for Thessia. I need to pick up a shipment of blue body paint.
Joker: Aye ay - uh, body paint?
Liara: Yes, it only lasts for a day or so, so I'll need several tons. We'll have to clear out the cargo hold.
Grunt: But I live in there!
Liara (clapping him on the back) : Don't worry, I'll put you on the observation deck with Samara. You two are going to love being roommates.
Samara: This will be the definitive test of my unflappable demeanor.
Jacob: But what about the Collectors?
Liara: Oh no, the Collectors. This is important. Joker - get that course laid in.
Joker looks at Shepard. She bites her lip and nods.
Garrus pantomimes adjusting a pair of pants.
Liara: Ooh, look at Mr. Funny Guy here. Back to work, funny guy.

Despite the fact that the Goodwood is amused, he doesn't quite think Liara would turn out to be a dominatrix, nor would Shepard be such a shameless submissive.

I suspect you're right, but I was inspired by Garrus' whip-cracking comment.
Joker: Uh, ma'am, I have a call coming in from the Illusive Man.
Liara: I'll take it in the conference room. (She walks out, smiling to herself.)
TIM (exhaling smoke) : Shepard! I - what the hell?
Liara: She's tied up at the moment. Perhaps I can be of assistance.
TIM: EDI informs me that you've changed course from the Omega 4 Relay and are headed to Thessia. Would you care to explain yourself, Dr. T'Soni?
Liara: I've already punked out one intergalactic crime lord. Maybe you want to watch how you talk to me.
TIM: I knew those Cerberus assertiveness training classes we sent you to were a mistake.
Liara: You know, the Shadow Broker had all kinds of interesting files. Files that were pulled off the extranet years ago - by your orders, it seems.
TIM says nothing.
Liara: Like this one: http://www.youtube.c...?v=b1VHSQV0yn8.
TIM: That was a long time ago.
Liara: It should be interesting to see what happens when I have that broadcasted on the Cerberus News -
TIM: Fine, fine. Have a nice trip, Doctor. Close the channel. (Mutters to himself.) I'm never going to live that one down.

Legion: (to EDI) I think Shepard-Commander may require assistance. Doctor T'Soni has taken an unusual assortment of items.

Of course, she has had some leadership experience, firstly as an infomation broker and during the events of LotSB, but will it adequatly prepare her for a military posting?
Huh, then again, I'm not quite sure I can see her in a military uniform ... or can I?

Hmm, the recent few posts does bring up an interesting, hypothetical scenario regarding Liara - if she was forced to take on the role of a commander, how would she act/react in that role?

Goodwood reminds you that Liara is a very gifted researcher. Were she to fall under some sort of military juisdiction, even if it was as part of Admiral Shepard's private Anti-Reaper Army, her talents wouldn't be wasted in a leadership capacity. She would be Shepard's personal Intelligence Officer, and would no doubt serve with distinction.

I did not mean to imply that Liara's talent for research would go to waste and, of course, a position in military intelligence would fit her like a glove.
I guess I was being a little bit too broad with the question - it could be reduced to, "How would Liara's talents and skills be utilised in a militant capacity during the (inevitable) conflict with the Reapers?"
Still, thanks for your input, Goodwood.
