I'm thinking we will have to wait.  I don't see us getting any more significant Liara content pre-ME3.  Since LotSB won't be a  pre-requisite for playing the next DLC, they can't really do too much with Liara (as she may still be sitting on Illium for some).  Those that did play it, they least I'd expect is maybe an email from Liara or something along those lines.

I doubt she will get another comic.

Unless there's more to Aethyta than being a badass bartender. It just seems strange to me that they would drop that hint and then do nothing with it for two years. They might of course, but I can hope... ;)

"Alright, shepard I'll come, but you have to tell me where we're going."

"Nope, it's a surprise."

//After a trip to Illium Shepard leads a slightly confused Liara to the Eternity bar. As they walk in he catches Aethyta's eye.

"Shepard, why are we in Eternity?"

"There's someone I'd like you to meet."

//Shepard leads her towards the bar. Aethyta stands up straight and puts down the rag she had been cleaning the bar with. She was ready to finally reveal to her daughter their relation.

I think Shepard is going to get Liara something special for her birthday in the form of a trip to the Eternity Bar on Illium.

couldn't he just take her to Omega and...oh wait wrong char..this is for Grunt...

why does Liara need to meet her "father" ?she seems to be doing good by herself...

I suppose the answer to that question would require a genuine interest in her character.
She does discuss it in ME1.

This would open the door to a potentially dynamic story line that could provide backround, character development, information and dimension. We'd learn something of Benezia , more about Aethyta and her reasons for doing what she did. It would be an opportunity for Shepard to do something meaningful for Liara and it could set the stage for Shepard to ask Aethyta for her blessing regarding Liara.

If Aethyta will meet with Liara in ME3, the future of ME universe may turns out very differently. As Aethyta mentioned she thought Asari should start building "their" new relay (which no one has done before), and with the information that Liara have in hand (as Shadow Broker). These combine force have almost everything to craft a new future and possibly away from "Reaper's technology universe".

Aethyta (with new ideas) + Liara (information & organization), impossible is nothing. :P

HA ha! Man that was funny.

EDIT: I am curious however as to why you would link to that. What was the purpose? Because the only thing I can surmise would be the purpose is to cause another fight, one I have already averted. If you read just a few pages further, you will see my apology for disturbing the thread.

I could easily link to the thread where the Liara fans trolled me for 16 pages, but I don't want to because all that would do is start a 6 month old argument that serves no purpose.

You can ask her if she knows whom Benezia chose as her partner. To which she replies that it was a painful subject for Benezia, and that she never told her anything about it. Liara seems very confused about the whole thing and doesn't know what to think about the possible reasons.

Should we see the T'soni mansion in ME3?

And if yes. Should it be during the game or in the (hopefully playable) eprologue.

Can't think of a good reason to go there during the game, there'd have to be some action, intrigue, ect, with mansion possibly getting blown to pieces in process. I'd rather see it in the epilogue I think.

The way I see it; the issue of Liara's parentage is in prime position to be brushed under the rug. It was not really talked about other than in that one conversation, and Liara herself has dealt with it. The supposed revealation occured in the aftermath of a DLC mission. It seems like it would be something that would be dropped entirely, and if someone brought the issue up, they could just be directed to the video and that would be that.

Should this be the case, I don't think it would be too great a loss for the story of Liara's character. A reunion could potentially be interesting --I wouldn't mind finding out the exact reasons behind Aethyta's absence-- but it also could possibly just fall into cliche.

You're true when it comes to it not being that important for Liara as a character. But I would still love for it to explored because Liara barely has any backstory at all.

Perhaps it could be like the epilogue in DA:O? Where you can talk to a few people and ask what their plans are for the future. And if you romanced Liara it could take place at the mansion.

Or perhaps the player will have a "what are our future plans?" conversation and depending on what choice you made, a cutscene could show Liara & Shepard together? Where it takes place and what they do should be diffrent depending on what the player's wish were.

While it's true that Liara's 'parentage' is somewhat secondary in the grand scope of the game the forshadowings have in fact been presented begining way back in the first game suggesting that the devs have at least given it some thought. Currently we're at a point where that storyline could either expand or collapse. Avid Liara fan that I am I'd prefer to see her story expand, especially if it could be tied into the main theme as in having Aethyta play a larger role. I think she's an interesting character with an interesting story of her own with a sort of renegade outlook quite the opposite of Liara. Curious to see a developing dialogue between Aethyta, Liara and Shepard but Like I said I'm a Liara fan

I love these ideas. Aethyta is one of my favorite NPC's. I hope she moves to the Normandy and becomes the bartender in Kasumi's quarters.

Since I'm a new poster to this forum I'm not sure if I should post it here, but I recently created a tributary music video to Liara and male Shepard's love and relationship. I made it to a song by Aqualung called Strange and Beautiful and posted it on my facebook page. (Youtube won't post it because of the embedded song)  I suppose this type of song/music may not be to everyone's liking, but I chose it because it gave a sense of romance and feeling without being overly sad. It seemed to fit the subject matter perfectly, and so I chose it.

Hope you enjoy...

Is there anyone out there who isn't using Facebook?

Edit to add: On the off-chance that you did not know this I'd like to point out that the Facebook video link requires one to be logged in.

Thanks for letting me know. I have it set for public viewing...but I guess my knowledge of Facebook is really limited. I'll try to find another way to try and post it. Have a great day.

A meeting between Liara and her parent would certainly provide an opportunity for an interesting continuation of her story. If, as we all hope, Liara plays an important role in ME 3, the writers will need some content anyway, so why not work with this matter as one arc of her story.

Liara fans!

Waxing some goddamn nostalgic here...

How many posters here were active on The Old Board, before ME2's launch?

I've been reading some of those old threads... Man, were the forumites unsympathetic to ME1 LI fans back then! A lot of good people I had nearly forgotten about posted on that forum, and seemingly didn't make it here or have long since moved on. I don't know why, but it makes me sad. Ah, entropy.

I wonder if the Liara fandom will ever fully heal from all the strife it suffered, since the ME2 spoilers started trickling in around mid 2009?

Didn't alot of people laugh at the ME1 LI fans? Told them that the LI's were just flings or something akin to that. I never posted there myself, but I still read alot of what was posted.
