Moderators hardly even look here and most topics in need of a lock often grow into monsterous properties, besides, I think the limit is 300 pages, not 200.
I think he was referring to that character thread lockdown about a week ago. They locked any thread related to any main character/LI that was over 50 pages long.

So how did this topic survive? I'm sure it was longer than 50 pages a week backwards.

We're not sure. They were all locked at the same time regardless of size. If it was over 50 pages and character related it was locked. This is version 2. The Tali thread reached only 1200 pages the first time, now their new one is over 2000. It was so random.

I still thought she was absolutely beautiful in ME2. The grayness is the lighting. And even if she turned green like Shiala then she would turn into my cute lil avocado! lmao

I'm a Tali fan and everything but if they don't lock her thread down and lock ours, I'm calling bs. But anyway positive Liara thoughts.
Hmm, I doubt it's that. To me, it looks like all of these topics are as they used to be. I'm not sure what this event is actually that happened a week ago, but regular character topics seem to be still there.
And yes, they improved her textures for ME2. I wish she would get something to wear fit for an archaeologist.

Okay, I play too many videogames, I immediately thought of Liara in Lara Croft's typical Tomb Raiding getup...
Wait, am I thinking that this is a bad thing?

Hmm. I see what you did there. It is in my head now as well.
But Liara is too awkward to be Lara Croft! It doesn't fit at all. Well, the outfit would fit, no doubt.

It would be cute seeing Liara raid tombs, lol (without the life threatening danger).

Shatner, I dare you to post something optimistic and/or not depressing.
If you have a time machine to go back six months when Mass Effect 2 was my most anticipated game ever that may be possible!

Same, that's kinda why I'm posting a lot less. And if we have to wait till 2011 for a Liara expansion there is no possible way the devs could make it epic enough to be worth the wait we had to go through. ME2 will always be a stain in video game history for me.
So many great things it could have been, such a spoiled opportunity to do something incredible for the video game industry. All tossed aside to pull in a few thousand extra shooter fans to pad BW & EA's pockets.
I will end on a postive note though.

ME2 may have been a waste of storyline, but the Expansion could definitely fix some of the plot holes and make way for an epic ME3 story.
BW has already put out all of the smaller DLC to keep people busy with, now the have to put out something really amazing: The Liara Expansion.
All the signs point to the Liara Expansion, now we just have to wait.
I don't know about you, but I think waiting longer for something better than you would have gotten otherwise is always the best thing to do.
We could have had the half an hour SB mission that was planned for Liara initially and supposedly had her becoming the SB, now we will have something a million times better. (With Liara staying on the Normandy after)!

I have actually heard that be mooted for what may happen to Liara in ME3. Renegades will choose not to comfort her and instead encourage her to utilise this badass facade, in a way turning her into the perfect foil for RenegadeShep, whereas Paragons will comfort and console her, encourage her to re-embrace her compassionate, caring personality and make her happy again. It's interesting how they could handle this.
I can see bioware taking this route. It would make the romance fit for both renegade and paragon shep.
Meh, I doubt it. They aren't going to have two paths with two scripts to record and two sets of, well, everything they have to make for ME3. Just like everything else, both Para/Rene options will lead you to pretty much the same place. They'll probably just slice it down the middle and call it done.

You have to admit, a Liara Expansion that lasts 15+ hours will be well worth the wait.
If it is done "right" I'll still get it and enjoy it, though I doubt it'll make me feel any better about the opportunity they lost.
After ME1 I really thought BW had the chance to do something that was going to be a turning point for the video game industry. I truly believed they had it in them to make something that was going to change the way peole viewed video games as a medium for story telling. The same sort of way Star Wars was such a huge point in the history of films and sci-fi I thought the ME trilogy was going to be "that" for video games.
They had the perfect set up, all they had to do was follow through with it. I suppose in the end I only have myself to blame for hyping the possibility to myself and thinking BW had what it takes to pull it off. Still, even realizing that it was my own fault it doesn't help much.
I'll certainly settle at this point for a Liara expansion but I don't know if we'll ever see that sort of opportunity come up again for the industry, those kind of moments don't come along very often.

I remember you from the old forums, Shatner. I know there is happiness in you.
You and Max Rouga just need to learn how to laugh again.

Hopefully this expansion is significant. If this is the case, I wouldn't expect to hear anything about this expansion for months and months and months. The DLC in the near future will probably be more weapons and armor (besides Kasumi).
Happy pic before bed.
