Didn't alot of people laugh at the ME1 LI fans? Told them that the LI's were just flings or something akin to that. I never posted there myself, but I still read alot of what was posted.
Some of the same people that are today scared of the inevitable cameoing of their ME2 LIs... I'd call it ironic, but...
Here's a lovely little extract I just came across:
Wow.
Are we still on this? ...ReallY?
I hate to come off as insensitive but the people who are still upset about the ME1 love interests not being recruitable squad mates in ME2 should really be over it by now.
that ship has officially sailed, isn't it time to move on?
Judging by the videos and interviews and info that has been released so far, ME2 will probably be a better game than ME1.
I knew that ME1 would be a trilogy before I played ME1. I romanced both Liara and Ashley. My renagade Shepard got with ashley. My Paragon Shepard hooked up with Liara. I intend to carry over both characters to ME2.
during my first playthrough of ME1, when the first Love interests showed up in Shepard's room. I vividly remember thinking: "wow, this is cool... I hope I'm not going to be stuck with this girl for the next game".
I was so relieved to see that we were going to get all new Love interests on the squad!
Shepard is a catch! Shepard is the first human spectre. Shepard is one of the best humanity has to offer. Are there really people out there who want to see Shepard tied down to one love interest or on romantic lockdown for the next 2 or three games??
well, I respect that point of view... I just don't understand it at all.
