Since I had a Tali romance, and then broke up with her to get back with Liara for a proper romance, I always thought of a joke that Liara realized my Shepard had a thing for helmet women, or girls in suits, and then comes to bed dressed like a Quarian ("It's really just the suit... isn't it?"). Kind of like wives dressing up like Star Trek girls for their husbands. I didn't bother writing it, because it was too weird, and I didn't want to go there.

I was talking to my brother recently, and he was wondering what our thoughts were on the length of asari gestational periods.

Now, this is something that I'm fairly certain has not been discussed in any sort of detail, but it did get me thinking.

And it's... tangentially related to the thread's subject...

Personally, I'm of the mind that normally it's a few months longer than human pregnancies, The explanation being, it takes longer for the nervous system to develop due to an asari's natural biotic abilities.

Anyone else have their thoughts they'd like to share?

Shepard: Samara? Can you help me with this lower back massage?

Samara: Of course.

(inspects Shepard demonstrating on Liara)

Samara: Shepard, you're doing it perfectly. Your hands are situated correctly and your technique is excellent. What is it you need help with?

Shepard: Well... (pauses massaging) she starts growling whenever I stop.

I would lie, cheat, and steal to have a copy of the Mass Effect Bible. It seems to me there's a ton of fleshing-out to be done (so to speak) simply because the universe is relatively young, and it makes me wonder whether BioWare has the answers and is sitting on them, or they simply haven't invented them yet. It might also be the policy to avoid answering those
questions if at all possible and just let people wonder/make up their own
theories.

The questions in this thread about what the Asari head-tails are for (or even what they're called!) being a case in point. Or the gestational period. Or, for that matter, just what exactly is down there in Azure-land. (One wonders how many Asari fans would jump ship if it turned out that they weren't, um, 100% female? )
