I wonder what the facial markings would be on Liara and Shepard's kids, like if the father species isn't asari they have different markings on their face. For that matter, what would any human-asari child facial markings be like?

On the one hand, you have the aspect of her likely wanting to honor her mother's memory and respect of one's ancestors that archeology brings.

Then you have another aspect of her character, the fact that early on in her life, and as it progressed, there were definite pressures and expectations placed on her due to the fact that she was Benezia's daughter. I think it's likely she would be hesitant to put the unavoidable expectations that come with picking a distinguished leader of the asari people, not to mention her own mother, as a namesake.

And I also think it's highly likely that Benezia's name has also garnered infamy since the days of ME1.

I thought that she still loves her mother, at the end she loved her, and gave her a goodbye before her brain got controlled again by the indoctrination. Maybe Benezia was too much distant from Liara, but she was still her mother, and i think that she felt that lost so much. More than she wants to show.

And Aethyta... she is really funny and she protected Liara twice, once following (and probably helping) her on Illium, and twice doing it without telling her anything, for avoiding problems, also if she clearly loves (and misses) Liara so much. The reunion scene in ME3 will be wonderful, and really cute.

I argued with someone in another thread about Liara's "throwing herself at you" approach in ME1, then her complete reversal as she avoided you like the plague in ME2.



Made me wonder if it's sort of a testing the 2 extremes before finding the perfect middle ground situation. Anyone feel the same? I figure she'll be pretty well balanced in ME3, LotSB seems to support that.

Hi, I'm new here and I have a question about the Liara romance. Can someone help me?

I'm on my second playthrough of ME1 and I plan to romance Liara and stay faithful to her through ME2. I just finished Noveria and I got the conversation with her about asari unions and that she doesn't want to rush and she hasn't done it before. I picked all paragon choices and she sort of made it seem at the end that she didn't want to do it at all. Am I locked out of the relationship now? Will I still get the romance scene before Ilos?

Heh when I first saw a vid of the romance scene in ME1 I figured you could get stuck in the friend zone if you were too paragon.

Also she does have some cute dialog if you're late rescuing her.

Just remember to get Lair of the Shadow Broker. And keep in mind that she's been going through 2 years of mental anguish by the time of Mass Effect 2.

I played LotSB on my first playthrough of ME2 so I know how it is. This is my first time romancing her though,

Don't worry I will . I appreciate Liara alot more this time around. My first playthrough I was indifferent about her. But I'm liking her romance alot and she is very pretty!

Yeah I can't wait to get more dialogue but right now in ME1 I have to do all the sidequests before I can start Virmire. I hate the mako so much. So after that I think the next conversation with her is during the Citadel lockdown.
