I have nothing against telling TIM to shove it in general, but Miranda came a bit out of nowhere its not like you could seed doubts about Cerberus agenda into her,at least not in the friendship part, didnt play the romance so far.

Not to throw things off track but I agree.  Did one of my games with Miranda in party the whole time (wanted to give her a chance) and I never noticed any opportunity to change her mind on things, which is what I was hoping for.  Was a surprise at the end when she quit Cerberus.  Really felt like it kinda came out of nowhere.

Actually... there are quite a few parts throughout the game where you can detect an inflection of sorts in her voice that shows doubt about what she is discovering. At least I took them that way, the biggest being on the Collector Ship when you find out it was a trap and TIM knew about it.

Didnt notice that on the ship, but then again she basicly rationalizes everything you can bring up against Cerberus away Husks,Thorian creepers,Rachni,Jack, again that is a part of the game were I wished for more options and dialogue.
Its really disturbing that most of the normal crew like Kelly talk about how Cerberus is the bestest thing ever and Shepard again just takes it exspecially in case of a sole survivor its quite bad.

One thing that I hope is present in the DLC is for Liara to admit her guilt to Shepard, to finally open up and tell Shep all her problems in an additional scene if she is our LI. I want Liara to open up and admit to Shepard that she feels she's done some terrible things, and reveal that underneath this hardened facade she's still the same Liara, but just emotionally heartbroken. We get a small peek of it in ME2, but it's not really enough if she's your LI.

Liara's female. She's a she.

Yes, that's definitely got to be the Liara DLC. I can't wait!

Glad to see everyone staying up into the wee hours of the morning even after I went to bed. Good morning, folks.

Been reading through the comments and articles and whatnot that people have been posting.

If the Kasumi DLC is only a couple of bucks, I'll probably get it because I'm a sucker like that. I can afford to spend 5 dollars, though I'd like it better if it were free -.-

Now I'm gonna go back downstairs to get my Liara fix through ME1. >.>

Miranda is just a dumb person. She lost all my sympathy at the point in freedoms progress when she said the attack on the quarians was nothing personal...
How silly a person could be to say something like that?

and i do think Miranda will have more to do with the story with regard to the Liara DLC, presuming it's post game, she will probably tell Shep all the gruesome details before Shep even contacts Liara. Though as Miranda has the potential to die (hard as it may be) this may not be the case.

Meh, I can do without Miranda, or any of the rest of the crew for that matter, sticking their noses where it doesn't belong.  Hopefully the expansion is concentrated on Shep and Liara.  I don't even want to have to take 2 squadies with me when I go to see her or do whatever missions are included.

Yeah, poor Liara, the devs have really done her a great disservice in ME2, along with Ash/Kaidan.  I'd pay good money to see a real sequel to ME1 released.

Here's a more detailed Kasumi article

She's just like Zaeed as far as dialog goes.

I'm a few pages behind so forgive me if this has been said, but I really, really, really don't want Liara dlc to be like the Kasumi dlc.  No dialogue tree would be horrible!!!  Also, I don't want one quick mission.

I'm not on the full Liara-expansion-or-bust bandwagon.

It has no gender. Its mono-gendered, Liara said it herself in the first game.

Sorry for double post but would you look at that! Quoted from the Mass Effect wikia:

A mono-gender race—distinctly feminine in appearance—the asari are known for their elegance, diplomacy, and biotic talent.

You understandably wish for that, and I too of course, but all the evidence so far makes it seem less likely rather than more. And should they really have developed the Liara content during the main game and cut it out, it would be an outrage. Not that we'd ever know for sure that it was the case.

Makes sense to me. Develop the content at the same time as the rest of ME2, but hold it back until Redemption finishes so as not to spoil it. Thta's they way I believe they did it.

But wouldn't that have been true of Kasumi and Zaeed as well?  But no dialogue wheels for them?  Its only wishful thinking that Liara dlc will be different...unless its a full expansion like Awakenings.

Indeed. I would have paid double the price of what ME 2 cost, for a worthy successor to my favourite 3D game ever. I would still pay the full price again for a big patch that makes ME 2 what it should've been. It would be a highly questionable move, but the REAL Mass Effect 2 would be worth it to me. But that's of course completely theoretical, done is done. They make their money with quick-and-cheap DLCs now until ME 3 and DA 2.

Yes, but all thier terminology is feminine. Matriarchs? Maidens? In-game, asari are referred to as she, her, etc. So Liara, and all asari for that matter, can accurately be referred to as she and her. Aria even calls herself the Queen of Omega.

I thought the way BW handled Liara in ME2 was really really good. I travel quite a bit and I usually end up in the same parts of the world about once a year. It is extremely interesting to see how people change over time and to hear people tell me how much I have changed. I can think of a couple examples of women that I met in my travels that do 180 like turnarounds, like Liara, in the time that we are apart. So the fact that she was so different wasn’t really that surprising to me. To be honest, if the events at the beginning of ME2 (not to mention the comics) didn’t cause some kind of character growth from the naïve scientist that Liara was in ME1 I would have been extremely disappointed. That being said, I am very curious to see how the relationship will play out in ME3. Of all the LIs out there, the Liara romance is easily the strongest.

Bit off topic but Christina Norman's twitter says: 'Now that Kasumi has been announced, I can clarify that this is the DLC mission that I think will make FemShep fans very happy!' No Thane cure DLC. Liara DLC is now the only future DLC that we have some evidence for.

/shrug I have about as much interest in Kasumi as I do the rest of the crew. I'm certainly not going to pay extra for it, especially when it is nothing but a female Zaeed you can't even talk to. The only real glimmer of hope here is that all the DLC being released is so small and bare bones because the main focus of the DLC team is Liara. Though without confirmation of that I wouldn't get my hopes up.
