Does any of you remember any distignent prothean art?
Symbols and sutch?

I remember them having a thing for pyramides but they never showed any written language or similar stuff in ME1 irc

There were statues at Ilos though I don't recall any visible writing and such.  May be some there if you look close enough?

I had no clue what they were. They were creepy looking. I thought maybe they were like, frozen carbonite Protheans or something. Whatever they are, they're not exactly the prettiest things in the galaxy. XD

Really?  It was a research facility and I expect most everyone died in their stasis pods.  I never even considered them as some sort of tombstone.

I thought they were just decorative items.

They might be pretty to you if you were Prothean.

Bit off topic but Christina Norman's twitter says: 'Now that Kasumi has been announced, I can clarify that this is the DLC mission that I think will make FemShep fans very happy!' No Thane cure DLC. Liara DLC is now the only future DLC that we have some evidence for.

But why specifically femsheps? O_o

Meh... somehow I don't think it'll be anything to appease us -.-

The only thing I can think of is she's an F/F romance.

<insert "Everyone's gay for Liara" joke>

Here's a more detailed Kasumi article

She's just like Zaeed as far as dialog goes.

I'm a few pages behind so forgive me if this has been said, but I really, really, really don't want Liara dlc to be like the Kasumi dlc.  No dialogue tree would be horrible!!!  Also, I don't want one quick mission.

I'm not on the full Liara-expansion-or-bust bandwagon.

Damn it!  I'm NOW on the full Liara-expansion-or-bust bandwagon.

Liara's female. She's a she.

Yes, that's definitely got to be the Liara DLC. I can't wait!

It has no gender. Its mono-gendered, Liara said it herself in the first game.

I have to clarify this.
There always has to be a gender. If you look closely enough at the word "mono" it basically has a meaning of "one", and we know what gender means so it means "one gender".
Even though reproduction takes place asexually, the species is still female.

No Thane cure DLC after all then?

That means that the only speculated DLC that we know of now is the Liara DLC. Can't wait, hope it's going to be good.

Mono doesn't mean 'no.'  Mono means 'one.'  A mono-gendered species is a single gendered species...in the case of Asari that gender is female.

Also, to clarify about what "feeling blue" means, its an actual expression that means feeling sad.

How could there be a romance with a character you can't even talk to?

I think it's b/c the mission involves Michelangelo's David which is some statue of a hunky guy.

The way I see the DLC situation was BW just tested the waters to see how much of a financial response they are going to get from it.
That is why the DLC coming out now isn't really that substantial, BW isn't going to put out the money for something great until the know people will be interested.

I believe the said recently that they are happy with the great response for the DLC from players.
That definitely means they are going to put out the substantial Liara Expansion we want, not a shoot-em up.

Again, the Liara Expansion's storyline would not make a lick of sense without a lot of emotions and romantic conversations.

I thought those things were statues of the Protheans, but ME2 leads us to believe the Protheans kind of looked like the Collectors.  They might have been statues of another long extinct race that lived along side the Protheans.

I'd just be excited to briefly have Liara travel with you again. The deep emotional moments and romantic dialogue would be awesome. As I've said before, I'd love it if on the journey back Shep is sitting in his/her cabin and, if Liara is your LI, she nervously enters Shep's cabin. Then we get Liara finally breaking down, and admitting all her guilt and how much she missed Shepard. Shepard then comforts her, consoles and reassures her and they embrace warmly. I don't believe there should be a sex scene at all, as it wouldn't feel "right", and Liara's not exactly in a happy state of mind, and it would feel like you're just taking advantage of her. But, Liara's sorrow and guilt and the fact that the two of them have been apart works as the "dark second act" of the romance, I think.

I was reading the dev posts in the 'How much will you pay for Kasumi DLC' thread. The dev mentioned that the recorded Kasumi dialog currently found on the disk is just some preliminary stuff they recorded before deciding on a direction for her story to take. That dialog is mostly garbage now. I'm thinking the same will apply to the extra Liara stuff we found. It's garbage and if they do go through with the Liara DLC they probably won't use any of it. This is as I expected.

Thank God, the original reason for Liara not joining Shep was epicly lame, "I can't come because I have to read!" Seriously.

Surely it wouldn't take to much time to have Mark, Jennifer and Ali come in and record the new lines necessary for the Liara DLC?

I was reading the "How much would you pay for Kasumi dlc" (or whatever its officially named) thread, and Michael Gamble came on and addressed a couple points forumites were making.  And it occured to me how much I would like to have a substantial, civil discussion with one of the Bioware developers on some of the choices they made regarding Liara and a possible future expansion for her.

I don't want to scream and yell.  I would love it if the lot of us had the opportunity to directly offer our thoughts about why we are disappointed and what we would like to see going forward, as well as hear their thoughts as they worked through the process.

I know it will never happen, but this thread has for the most part been very substantial and civil and insightful.  I think we could handle a respectful conversation with one of the developers, and that it might go a long way to making us all feel a bit better.

I think that the regulars here should make a pact that if a developer ever decides to grace us with his or her presence and engage us in conversation about Liara, we won't turn such a conversation into a **** fest or get hostile, and that any such conversation will be approached with the same civil and insightful attitude we've approached the first 200 pages of this thread.

Heck, we could even make a sub-group of the Liara fan club in which you have to make the pact to get in, and that invites a developer to engage us directly.  Or something.

I know, I know...totally unrealistic that we could have such a conversation.  But in some alternate universe where those things could actually happen I think it would be good.
