I was reading the "How much would you pay for Kasumi dlc" (or whatever its officially named) thread, and Michael Gamble came on and addressed a couple points forumites were making. And it occured to me how much I would like to have a substantial, civil discussion with one of the Bioware developers on some of the choices they made regarding Liara and a possible future expansion for her.
I don't want to scream and yell. I would love it if the lot of us had the opportunity to directly offer our thoughts about why we are disappointed and what we would like to see going forward, as well as hear their thoughts as they worked through the process.
I know it will never happen, but this thread has for the most part been very substantial and civil and insightful. I think we could handle a respectful conversation with one of the developers, and that it might go a long way to making us all feel a bit better.
I think that the regulars here should make a pact that if a developer ever decides to grace us with his or her presence and engage us in conversation about Liara, we won't turn such a conversation into a **** fest or get hostile, and that any such conversation will be approached with the same civil and insightful attitude we've approached the first 200 pages of this thread.
Heck, we could even make a sub-group of the Liara fan club in which you have to make the pact to get in, and that invites a developer to engage us directly. Or something.
I know, I know...totally unrealistic that we could have such a conversation. But in some alternate universe where those things could actually happen I think it would be good.
