You make good points about the Liara DLC and her joining us. I don't expect this to happen. There's not much to do anyways after the game is beaten and the suicide mission is over. I'd rather have her join in ME3 and have her as a squad mate for the full game.

I don't expect her to take up room and board on the Normandy, no.  I do hope she is a temporary squad mate though for any missions related to her expansion.  Two man squad with Shep and Liara tracking down the SB and setting up her return to the Normandy at the very start of ME3. 

There should be plenty of time spent together in the expansion whether she is on the Normandy or not, in her office, during the missions, and maybe some other quite place where she lives when not at the office.  Would be nice for Liara to "take you back to her place" so you can spend some alone time together for the LI's.

That would be perfect!  I'm sure Liara has a very nice apartment on Illium (I hope the poor woman doesn't sleep in her office).  They don't even have to show any 'love scene' (I'd rather they don't bother after watching the other ME2 love scene).  I would be satisfied if they just show Liara and Shepard walking into the apartment together, staring lovingly at each other, followed by the door closing so we don't see anything...the end.

I guess the only reason I think Liara would be on the Normandy after the Expansion is over is because of the phantom, no squadmate and the two desks in the captain's quarters.
The other reason would be because there is no logical reason Liara would stay on Illium after the Expansion is over.
She even said how much she wanted to be with Shep on the Normandy when you talk to her.

Oh, I know, and I agree that she wants to be there -- I'm just not expecting her to, and hoping that they come up with a better excuse than 'gotta kill a few more SB agents' that they seemed to have on the disk.  (Luckily we already have someone assuring us that the Kasumi audio files aren't gonna be used for the most part, so I expect the same about the lost Liara audio as well.)

But, it would be a more realistic (it would defnitely make more sense for the story) way for things to happen if she has to go back to Illium to finish some things up before ME3.
As long as we get to recruit her as a squadmate in ME3 first (after the two squadmates you already because that seems to be the direction BioWare goes in) and we can visit her on Illium in ME2 as much as we want after the Expansion is finished.

Only an aversion against saying " ^ this." is preventing me from just saying it.  Two or three post-Expansion conversations would be very nice of BioWare to do.

I definitely want her to be happy. <3

I believe that there will be a great emotional, romantic story for the Expansion and ME3 will be romantic and loving as well.
I still think there will definitely be marriage in ME3. I wonder what my Shep would wear, a dress or a military outfit?

I want to Liara to get all her negative emotions of and have Shep comfort her and help her through it, it needs to be an emotional time for Shep as well.

I'd say 'seconded' to this, as well, except that I think that you've been seventh'd by now .

And Alyna, my Shep, would be in an Alliance uniform, but again, she, like myself, has always been a bit more military-traditional... then again, I could also see them both wearing matching dresses...

Hmm, that is an interesting thought... :happy:

Well, why not both?  That's what's happens in the Star Trek universe, apparently (even for half-humans/half-Betazoids marrying full-humans, though that was in a movie a lot of people have relegated to DisContinuity, but still .)

Yeah but do you know what it is? I would be happey with it most likely Also the asari on Illium talk about the Asari that is screwing over the colonists, got married to another asari. It could be very similar..

I guess I'm tired of being Commander Shepard and ordering her around, slapping Liara in a white dress and hauling her off to the chapel just seems like an extension of that. Having your union recognized in a traditional asari manner seems to me like you're saying, "I'm not Commander Shepard to you, Liara. We're peers and partners from this time forward."

There's definitely some skewed power dynamics, I'd just like her to know that she's more important than anything else.

That does make alot of sence and I would want her to know that she is alot more to me other then just another squad mate. That would make me sad if she ends up just being another squad mate, and all you see is just one night of love before it ends I need to know they continue on with it, even if I can't see

Also, who ever is the OP should put all the Liara fan art and game pics in the front page for easy access. I just made a Liara folder and seems very empty compared to my *cough* Tali *cough* folder

Makes sense -- tell you the truth, in my eyes, if there's one ceremony then either both Shep and LiLi would be wearing dresses or neither would be, just to emphasize the equality of the moment.
And if there are two?  Probably the same, with an option for my Shep wearing the dress for the asari ceremony and LiLi wearing it for the human ceremony.  (Whichever religion my non-agnostic Shep is, specifically.  I think she's a Unitarian or the like.)  Still, you have a very valid point, JP.
