Random, but I was reading a wiki article that reminded me. Remember when you're on Noveria trying to initiate the neutron purge? Kaidan (or ashley too I think) says somehting like "It's always a good idea to RTFM" and Liara gets confused and says, "to... what?" I thought that was cute. XD
I never seen that.

Really though, I don't think Liara will go insane at Shep in ME3 if he/she was unfaithful. I can imagine that she'd just openly weep, due to everything she's done for Shep and that's the way he/she repays her.
I couldn't stand to see her any more sadder than she is in ME2. :/

If it does end like that, then i will go back and replay ME2 just to avoid it. Liara is already hurt enough as it is in ME2.

Speaking as someone who has no desire to romance Liara, I hope the "couldn't let you go" for non-LIs was a bug. It makes her character far too much All Aboit Shepard, and makes her come off as obsessive. I find her interesting as an increasingly morally complex character who is clearly uncomfortable with what she's become in ME2, but trying not to admit it, not as a satellite to Shepard.
To me though, that's what's making her interesting in ME2 for Shepard's that didn't romance her. Liara's devotion to Shepard is what has gotten her into the mess she finds herself in, in ME2. Her love and devotion to Shepard, even if it way be unrequited, has gotten her into a terrible predicament.

Yeah, once I saw Liara for the first time, I never had any interest in any of the other romances.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

That would be one of the most painful things ever, to watch Liara in ME3 for those who cheated on her.
I can't imagine the pain she would be feeling.
My Shep loves Liara more then anything (even though she is a bit of a stone-faced idiot during the reunion), she would never cheat on her.
I honestly can't wait until the Expansion comes out. It will make the ME2 experience so much better, knowing that you can come back after the suicide mission and help Liara get rid of her negative emotions and comfort her.
Being able to have an emotional and romantic conversations with Liara would definitely give me a reason to play ME2 over and over again.
I will love to see how happy she is to get back on the Normandy and be at Shepard's side in ME3. <3
The Beautiful Blue Goddess can go back to her beautiful blue and be happy with Shepard.

and i think that a very long, silent hug at the beginning would mean more than words and would've add more taste to the proper reunion scene. what do you think?LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
Indeed, Stubbs! Hopefully we get to calm Liara and console her over the predicament she finds herself in and the pain she's suffered in the two years since Shepard's death. I do wish we get the option to tell Liara everything's okay, for her to not feel guilty for what has happened and for Shepard his/herself to apologise for not being there for her whilst she was suffering. The DLC can't come soon enough, I really want Liara to be happy again!

Kotor 2 was made by Obsidian though, so we don't count that XD
Although I think i'm the only person that actually liked that game just as much as the first one, despite all the flaws.
For what its worth, I liked that game a lot too. It was totally incomplete, and the ending had all these loose ends that didn't conclude but were clearly meant to. Still, it was pretty enjoyable.
Ironically, for all that ME2 was a much better game, I found ME2 infinitely more disappointing than KOTOR 2.

Speaking of her being happy today when I was doing another run of ME2 I had that conversation with Liara when she tells you that she gave Cerberus your body, and you can either comfot her or tell her off.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

I wanted to see what happens when you respond negatively to that and its so sad.
Shepard tells her that its her fault that hes stuck with Cerberus now, and she looks so upset and you can hear it in her voice as she tells him that she did what she could.
I had to reload my last save right away after that.

Aww that is sad. I really cannot imagine how anyone would want to pick that option for good. (you know, not like you who was just curious and loaded it back). I mean, it was either Cerberus or death....

I...don't think I ever want to see that. Ever.
Marcin, I said before that in the Liara DLC, after the mission is complete, Liara goes up to Shep's cabin in which we then have the proper emotional reunion in which Liara opens up completely, and Shepard apologises too. I then said that I thought it would be cool in the scene ends with Shep and Liara embracing each other warmly, with a single tear trickling down Liara's cheek. The camera then pans out, and fades to black. Would work very well, IMO.

As soon as I heard my Shep start to raise her voice at Liara, I turned the Xbox off mid-conversation and started again.
I could never be mean to Liara, why would Shep even get mad at her love?
Of course the only emotion Shep shows during the conversation is irrational anger...
That will be rectified in the Expansion soon enough! <3

It looked like someone punched Liara in the gut after Shepard says those things.
