Speaking of her being happy today when I was doing another run of ME2 I had that conversation with Liara when she tells you that she gave Cerberus your body, and you can either comfot her or tell her off.
I wanted to see what happens when you respond negatively to that and its so sad.
Shepard tells her that its her fault that hes stuck with Cerberus now, and she looks so upset and you can hear it in her voice as she tells him that she did what she could.
I had to reload my last save right away after that.
I...don't think I ever want to see that. Ever.Shepard you ungrateful bastard, you!
Marcin, I said before that in the Liara DLC, after the mission is complete, Liara goes up to Shep's cabin in which we then have the proper emotional reunion in which Liara opens up completely, and Shepard apologises too. I then said that I thought it would be cool in the scene ends with Shep and Liara embracing each other warmly, with a single tear trickling down Liara's cheek. The camera then pans out, and fades to black. Would work very well, IMO.

We both frequent the Tali thread more often than not. The hate threads get shut down pretty quickly, because someone either says something stupid to get it locked, or everyone loses their hate motivation and it quickly spirals off topic. Might last the weekend though since the mods have it off, I think. I'm still kind of puzzled as to why the "anti-minority" thread hasn't been closed yet.

One thing that I haven't seen brought up alot: What do you actually want to happen when Shep and Liara inevitably find and confront the Shadow Broker face-to-face? Do you want to have the option to convince Liara to let it go? If it turns out that the SB has done something utterly abhorrent that means he has to be brought to justice, would you like the option to convince Liara that he should be brought before the Citadel Council to be put on trial?

I absolutely never romance anyone but Liara, so I'm fine.
Really though, I don't think Liara will go insane at Shep in ME3 if he/she was unfaithful. I can imagine that she'd just openly weep, due to everything she's done for Shep and that's the way he/she repays her.
I couldn't stand to see her any more sadder than she is in ME2. :/
I think a good indicator of what such a scene would be like is Liara's reaction when her request for hacking is refused. I did that by mistake on my most recent playthrough and it's touchingly sad.

That's why I limit my activity to this thread and the group pages.

Well the list of the Shadow Brokers crimes are long, but for a final confrontation no idea but I'm more or less content if Shepard can say anything about it that has an impact.
As for the Shadow Broker himself if he gets cornered I would imagine he will try to bargain his way out of it to the last.

I don't think it's funny. There are plenty of non-white people that play Mass Effect and talk on these forums. How do you think they feel when they go on these forums to make connections with other lovers of the game, and they're met with an anti-minority thread on the first page?

To me, the "hate" she shows for the SB on Illium doesn't seem like true hate at all.
It looks to me that it's a way in which she's venting the emotional pain that she's suffered in the two years since Shep's death, and the SB is a convinient figure for her to transmit that hate to, as a way of keeping her emotional pain and torment at a safe distance. It's why I feel that if Shep comforts and consoles her, Liara will soften up somewhat.

I just want to see exactly what happened to ****** her off so bad. Considering how nice her character was in the first game, for her to be wanting to biotic-slam people in to coffee cups, the SB must have REALLY pushed her buttons!

Like I said, it might be because the hate toward the SB is a product of her own emotional pain and guilt over handing Shepard to Cerberus, and the stressful and dangerous situation she finds in with the SB now having a price on her head. Liara has obviously suffered alot in the two years that Shep has been gone, and she obviously needs comforting and consoling by Shepard to help alliviate her guilt and sorrow.
To me, this whole story with Liara looks like the classic "putting an inherently good person into an inherently bad situation" situation. Interesting to see where this will go.

I agree with Les as far as her hate... but I too would like to know what exactly got her to this point. There is far more to it than simply leaving feron the the SB. As others have stated and since I haven't got my frakking comics yet, she seems to dislike him a whole lot in the comics. The big revelation has to be something else... yet for the life of me I can;t figure out what.

Hmm... Seems like i started a small discussion about what happens if you cheat on liara (not that i'll ever do that :innocent:). Still do anyone think that the samara "romance" will be commented on in ME3? By Liara or someone else perhaps?

No idea, does it result in Liara's picture being turned face down? (

What, exactly, he threatened her with is beyond me. There could be any number of things, not the least of which would be the threat of turning Shepard against her, by lying to him, which he did, by telling Shepard that she works for the Shadow Broker.

FYI. "romancing" Samara does NOT result in the Liara picture turned down. So i guess Bioware does not think it's cheating.
Also an interesting fact i discovered when re-playing my "canon" playthrough (which is loyal to Liara ofc.
I got renegade points! <_<
