@Little Mama
Those are indeed nice pictures, you can draw very well.
It is a great skill to be able to draw the Lovely Liara. (I can't draw worth S**t, lol)

Little Mama, I like both of those pics. I agree with you though, I think Liara would look best in the second one. Can't wait to see it!

Wish I could draw Liara.

What Liara really deserves, as she is now in ME2, is a looooong tight hug. You can see she's been through a lot.

I think some of you may be overreacting as far as the idea of "redeeming" Liara is concerned. You don't seriously compare Liara to Garrus or Wrex, do you? Totally different characters. Liara in ME 1 was a compassionate woman. Now she did what she had to do leading to and during ME 2. But when you are surrounded and surround yourself with bad things and bad people, it can change the character. And I think it would be a great idea to allow Shepard to either help her leave it behind (Paragon), or to encourage her (Renegade). You had something like that with Leliana in DA, even though the thing suffers from the general problem that there's too little substance to the quest and too little dialogue to make it really believable. We can always hope that this would not be the case in the Liara case.

I totally agree that she shouldn't be forced into the role of a villain, that has been done often enough for the time being, and it wouldn't be credible given the story so far.

I agree entirely, it's just the "OMG Liara is falling to the dark side!!" stuff that I've read. She's not turning evil or anything like that.

And I completely agree on Renegade Shepards telling her to keep this tough facade, and Paragon Shepards consoling her and helping her re-embrace her true compassionate, caring personality. I can see that being the case over the course of ME3, it's too big to include in Liara's DLC I feel.

Thats very nice drawings and Liara looks good as a bride, but I never thought anything else. On the subject of the dresses... well I like them both but yes the second one may be a little more her thing I think. Keep up the good work :)

Huh, it would make even more sense financially for BioWare to do a 15 hour Expansion.
Lets hope they want to make money.

Of course they do. Problem is, neither you nor I know the numbers, it's all guess work. BioWare/EA will have at least some numbers, and they obviously figure that short-simple-cheap is the most commercially viable way to go for DLC. I like how they try to spin it otherwise and pretend it's all high quality content, but of course everyone sees through that (I hope). It may be different with a real expansion, it will be very interesting to see DA:O:A now, to see what their approach to expansions is now, if it's different from the approach to DLC.

Also keep in mind its not as simple as "if they do this, they will make money."  Sometimes the decision is between option A that makes $XX million and option B that makes $XX + 5 million.  They can't do both because of time constrants, overflooding the market, consistent staff levels, etc.  Its all cost versus benefit, which includes opportunity costs in that equation.

Who is this MaleShep of whom you speak?!!!  Image IPB

Edit:  Oh, and I should say that they are nice drawings.  I just like to pretend maleshep doesn't exist, so when I see Liara in the arms of a man it doesn't register as Shepard and I go Image IPB.  If that were femshep I'd think it was great!  Image IPB

I don't think I'll ever have the heart to turn Liara down in ME1. I just...never will be able to. Too sad.

Likewise with the confrontation scene with Ashley or Kaidan. I don't actually know what it's like when you reject Liara. She must get really sad. :/

I don't really see where people are getting the "Liara is heading to the dark side" feeling from. To me, it seems like Liara is still at heart very much herself, but she's suffered so much guilt and emotional torment, and because of that finds herself in such a terrible predicament, that she's struggling to deal with and come to terms with it emotionally. It's the classic "place an inherently good person in an inherently bad position" situation, and I think that's what it is with Liara.

She's not going to go out and start beating up random folk and killing kittens, she's still Liara at heart. It's just she's being forced to do these things because she's unable to deal with her feelings, things that she evidently hates doing.

Oh no, I wasn't trying to say she was turning to the darkside I was only joking and I know Liara is not evil, she never was.

[Edit] If you were taliking about what I said earlier it was a damn joke.

I saw that scene once on Youtube, Liara says she has to go do something, but the way she says it you know she's about to break down in tears.  So sad.

I've never seen that, and I don't plan to either.  I'm not really a completionist.  I prefer to take my shep through the game as if its a single narrative.  I don't like seeing the alternate universes that didn't happen in my playthrough, to be frank.

It took a lot of will to start a new game of ME1.

That's how I play ME aswell, Yeled. I like to think that what goes on in my playthroughs are my own personal canon, and the rest of the choices frankly don't exist. Mass Effect's story goes the way I want it to, and to me Shep will always romance Liara.

I do like FemShep/Liara. It gives me the impression that Shepard, being a lesbian, was ostracised and ignored by the military and was a bit of a recluse, until she met Liara. The two then fell into each other's arms, and are now hopelessly in love with each other and feel like they've found 'the one'.

I think Liara has enough mojo to turn people "Liarasexual" regardless of gender : )
