She does look good in the plain Onyx armour, too...

I always had Liara in Predator armour to match my Shep. :D

I always try to put Liara in Colossus armor when I get it (I think she is sexy in red and black).
She does look amazing in green as well.
Liara can wear any armor and still be sexy. :wub:<3:wub:

I think my favorite armor was the armor she had on at the beginning of ME2. I hope we can have her wear it in ME3 (bring back armor for squadmates in ME3 BioWare! I am sick and tired of looking at people in tights. Damn you Jacob...)

Yeah, that armour at the beginning of ME2 was cool, reminded me of Phoenix armour.

I liked having Liara wear Predator armour along with my Shep because it felt like we were connected together as lovers on the battlefield. There's nothing more romantic than having Liara crouch behind cover next to you. <3

I totally have a pic of Liara on the Normandy in the beginning of ME2.

There is definitely something great about her wearing the same armor as you, at the beginning of the game I always make sure she has the same armor as me.
I also wear a Colossus with Liara.

Speaking of having her crouch beside you in combat, I agree, it actually was romantic.
I just can't believe how empty ME2 feels without her, it is as though I am playing it for no reason.
Liara made ME perfect (technical flaws aside).
Can't wait for the Liara Expansion! <3

Yaaay!

Wait...her facial expression makes it look like she's in pain. :crying:

Still, I did like how Liara's running through the exploding Normandy to get to Shepard, It's sweet. :3

@Yeled (re female shepard)

LOL! :D

I've tried to play male!Shepard, but it just doesn't work for me. :(

@General Stubbs

A lot of players out there default Shepard to "he" most likely because the promos for ME2 completely excluded any possibility of Shepard being female. I know they did it for consistancy, but honestly it was a mistake.

Aparently there's no "canon" Shepard, but the presence of Sheploo in the trailers and promos promotes the idea that the default Shepard is male. (She isn't - there are two default Shepards, one male, one female.)

@Somebody1003

I think we're all going to have to face the fact that any LI in 3 will be romanceable by new players.

I don't really see how that's unfair to us long term players, as their games have nothing to do with our games. Besides which, ME3 will just assume a prior relationship with Kaiden or Ashley for new players, based on Shepard's gender, just as ME2 did, I think. (They might also just default to Miranda or Jacob... hmmm...)

If new players get an opportunity to experience romance with our lovely blue goddess, all the better, IMHO!

@Marcin R

The attraction to Fem!Shepard comes for a number of reasons. In my case one reason I like fem!Shepard is because I'm female and can relate to her better.

I could go on a feminist spiel about now, but I won't since I don't really think this thread is the place.

@LET

I really hope that by the time of Mass Effect, humanity will have overcome it's stupid bigotry towards homosexuals. Given the Alliance is multi-national and there are many many many nations that allow gays to serve openly and freely in their militaries, I find it difficult to believe that the Alliance would have a DADT kind of policy still in existance (not even the US is going to have DADT for much longer, if I'm reading things correctly).

Hmm... I think it's about time I put a link to "Fight for the Love" group in my sig.

More importantly, it looks pretty darn protective as well.
We don't want Liara getting hurt in the least bit.
The beginning scene of ME2 always makes me heartbroken when Liara runs for Shepard to try and get
her out and Shepard has to save Joker.
Liara loves Shep more then anything. :wub:<3:wub:
And Shep loves Liara more then anything. Even though she sits there stone-faced during the reunion... :wub:<3:wub:

I have to say, you would think we would have some Fallout T-51b power armor in the future.
Oh well, apparently people didn't want to look cool.

I've been preordering mine from TFAW but they're all crazy or something and don't even process preorders until a week after release. I might just cancel the preorder and place a normal order the day of release for Redemption 4. Having to wait so long for 3 to come in was agonizing.

Yeah I want to do the same, I dont want to wait like two weeks for issue 4.

I think I saw in one of those links with the Casey interview where he said that Liara will only be availible to those who romanced her in ME1.

Actually nevermind, looking at it now.
He says that the romance will continue into ME2 for those that had romanced her in ME1, and conclude in ME3.
So he never actually said that you couldnt start the romance in ME3.

Although I still think that everyone should play both ME1 and 2 before doing ME3, makes the games a lot better.

That makes sense.
So I can call Shep "she" without offending anyone.

Oh, I agree completely, and bigotry of any kind is stupid and ignorant beyond belief, and openly discriminating against someone based on their sexuality.

It was just me creating a backstory for a lesbian FemShep who finally finds happiness in Liara's arms, and having her feelings reciprocated by another woman. I didn't mean to cause any kind of offense, if I did.

I am sure by ME2 many humans have now become bondmates with asari, I wonder how the rest of humanity feels about that?

The pessimistic side of me wants to agree with you Enfants.  Maybe there still will be discrimination against sexuality (even race) in the future.   Poverty still exists and I wouldn't be surprised if these other things do as well.  One would hope not, but who knows?  There aren't any homosexual ME characters to base this speculation on, except the Shepard (possibly) but Shepard's military history is up to our imagination.

I doubt DADT would exist in the Alliance but that doesn't mean a homosexual Shepard wouldn't have been teased or harrassed for it.

I'd imagine the vast majority would be accepting and understanding, but you'd still have a few racists and bigots. Imagine if at one point in ME3 Shep is told by a racist he/she is "selling out his/her species" if Liara is your LI? Maybe by Khalisa Al-Jilani? Seems like something she'd try to do to dig up dirt.

I am a new fan of Liara. I loved the original Mass Effect but for some reason Liara didn't do it for me in the game. After ME3 though Liara became the most interesting love interest for me and I have started a new Mass Effect playthrough from the original game to romance Liara.

Yeah, right after I posted that she came to my mind.:lol:

That b**ch would probably try to say so much bad stuff about Liara and interview Shepard about it.
Now Im no renegade, and I never punched her, but if she ever said anything about my Liara then my Shepard would do much worse then a little punch to the face.:devil:

Yeah, that's what I was going for, J. Discrimination against homosexuals may not be as widespread or institutionalised by the time of ME, but I still think there would be teasing and harrassment as you said. It's just a way for me to RP FemShep and Liara's romance so that it seems deeper and sweeter, the fact that both of them at last find love in each other's arms.

I think that by ME people have probably gotten over the homosexual discrimination, and have probably moved on to people who have relationships with other species, be it asari or any other.

Im sure the human that dated that quarian on Illium got some crap from his friends and family.

Unfortunately, as long as there are organic beings, there will always be bigots and people who think they know best.
In everyone's perspective, they are right.
I shouldn't say everyone (that wouldn't be right to say everyone) but most of the people in the world are completely convinced they are right about anything and everything.
Organic beings will always have flaws brought on by ignorance or circumstance or just because they don't want to change.
Everyone see reality in a different way (sometimes in a bigger way brought on by mental disorders, but usually everyone sees everything a little bit different then everyone else).

I'd imagine that the Humanity FIrst types would hate the Asari, (possibly even more than Turians). Someone who joins in a relationship with an Asari:

1) produces only Asari offspring, the genetic potential is lost to future human children.
2) potentially loses the ability to produce human offspring for life if its a committed bonding relationship, since asari always outlive humans. It's not like Shep will outlive Liara and remarry.

I'd imagine that attitudes would be doubly bad for human women that go Asari. Men can always have a quickie fling with some young human woman as he gets older leaving her to raise a kid as a single parent.  I suppose a woman could have some sort of donor produce a human child but would a space career minded woman who's likely to meet an Asari (already older by the time she's looking) have enough time on her biological clock by the time she remembers?

Also if too many women entered Asari relationships there is a potential of many unattached young males. This always stresses societies, Gangs and Violence etc.

I imagine TIM using the lies he does in ME2 to break-up my Jane and Liara because of some of these attitudes.
