I barely ever post but it's kinda sad to see people fight over Tali and Liara. For the most part, they're both well thought characters, and, if you're into that kind of thing, adorable in their own way (I am). As far as LI's go, they're the most similar.
If I had any problems with them it'd be fairly minor nitpicks (handling of Liara in ME2 is a bit more than a nitpick but you get the idea). If anything, I'm surprised that those who like Liara dislike Tali and vice versa. If anything, people who like Tali should be supportive of Liara players - imagine if in ME3 you run into Tali and she's cold-hearted with ostensibly little interest in Shep.

I agree, Liara and Tali are my two favorite characters in the ME series so far. Honorable mentions goes to Mordin, Samara and Legion.
