Keep the pictures coming, but let's continue the discussions too.
In my opinion ME 2 needed significantly more development time, to make it a game at least on par with its predecessor. I was just thinking: Could it be that this was the plan initially, that the game always should've been released after those damn comics? Maybe they were told at some point to release the game much earlier, stranger things have happened. Would explain a lot of the shortcomings (including the non-inclusion of the vehicle). But it could also explain, beyond the obvious time constraint, why the Liara scene was so botched. Because they didn't know how the comics would play out and had to keep everything vague? Or because they did know, but didn't want to put too much information in the game, as to not discourage people from buying the comics too?
Again I ask: Why, oh why, didn't they make Tali the star of their comics? Judging from these forums, they could've made much more money this way, no? Or maybe they know that outside this small forum world, a character like Liara is more interesting and marketable than a character like Tali. Then the question would of course be, why they didn't let that knowledge influence the game itself. Too bad the developers don't grace us with their presence anymore. At least we know they'll be back when ME 3 is around the corner, though of course still not to answer to any criticism.
In any case, I take it you who buy those comics will inform those of us, who refuse to buy comics to learn about information that HAD to be available in-game, about what the writers in their wisdom have forced upon Liara?
