I always wondered, is there a bone in the asaris tentacles? It looks like something runs down each one in the middle.

I always hoped it would be explained in more detail, I think it might be cartilage though

Yeah I thought so too, but do you think they can pick the flaps up?
Or are they like stuck in place?

I would imagine they would be stuck in place.
Of course, if they were cartilage, they would be somewhat flexible. But definitely not like "tentacles".
There would be a lot of movement if they were completely flexible, but they always stay in place no matter what happens.
It is definitely not bone, I would imagine they would be formed more along the lines of our noses.
Made of out cartilage so they don't break when pressure is put on them, but still strong enough to take a hit.

Well I have always thought they would be "stuck" in place, they don't seems to move around in any way.

Although I remember in Illium some ad about an asari complaining that her scalp wasnt symmetrical.
I think they are just firm cartilage.

I miss Liara :(

I actually love this fan art. The BBG is so beautiful here. <3
I wonder if Liara would ever wear a dress like that (do the Asari use them for formal occasions, marriage, who knows?).
Again, a beautiful picture of The BBG.

To back up a bit: I definitely agree that a 4 part comic isn't necessarily the best medium to explore a major change to a character, but the last issue still pretty much has to deal with what set Liara on the road to information-broker-ville.

And really, it has to be more than "Feron got killed because of me" since there's almost no development of their relationship (platonic or otherwise) and shoving it into a final issue will feel really forced. Plus you have to consider she's been at it for 2 years by herself - there needs to be some major driving force there.

Yeah ther is a little to much that needs to be explained and given a reason for. Hopefully they give us a little in the last issue of the comic and a more in depth explanation in DLC or expansion. Hopeful thinking on my part maybe.

Yep, that's what I always got from the available material as well.  At least for the six flanges fanning back from the face, that they're semi-rigid structures with a similiar composition to human ears or noses.  I could see maybe the three under flanges and the area beneath them being a bit rigider, but that is just conjecture on my part.
On Illium there is that one announcement/advertisement where the one asari asks the other if she's "using biotics to touch things up" in reference to her scalp, and the other asari replies that she had cosmetic surgery to align them symmetrically.
There doesn't seem to be any models in game that have a variated crest appearance on asari either.  And I've probably spent way too much time than a person should staring at the back of asari heads in the game.

Understood. The Tali thread has been bogged down to the point of no return anyway.

Remember how sad it was when Benezia died in front of Liara, and she calls her in that said way? "Mother..." The stoic and dignified way in which Liara mourns Benezia is heartwarming, too. It shows how much Shep's death affected her and how much Shepard means to Liara for her to react in that manner.

Because she knew she could not remain herself forever. Better to die then hurt the ones she loved.

That scene made me so sad.
Liara needed a hug right there or as soon as she got back on the Normandy.
The BBG is so strong in her heart and her mind. <3

I know, I felt really bad for Liara. That's why I entered into the romance with her.
