I know what happens when you turn safe search off then search for Liara in Google Images. Say no more.
Anyway, we've now got less than 3 weeks until the last issue of Redemption is released. I'm getting pretty excited, and I'm going to keep an eye out for any more news on upcoming Liara content.

I can imagine how much the ME1 LI fans would be pissed off if it only contained ME2 LI content. I would be, too.

They now have a clear strategy for another way to make easy money. At present, their consideration is probably whether or not they think they can maintain a serious image for themselves and for ME if they release a romance pack for the game.

Well, I am not sure how serious the idea is to be honest. It would require A LOT of voiceover acting, if not in quantity per character, just quantity in general. You'd have to get nine romance option voice actors back (if we include Kaiden/Ashley/Liara) plus male/female Shepard. Then, if you want any other members of the squad, or ancillary characters, to be involved at all, you have to get THEIR voice actors too. Unless they are already working on it or have aspects of it integrated into a large expansion, I can't see it ever happening...

I would almost have to assume they would come out with individual romance packs for every LI.
It would be strange to make us pay for a massive romance pack that includes every LI even though we only romance Liara.
I wish time would speed up so the BBG can have her DLC.
The waiting is killing me! But, because of the longer wait, we will have a better final product.

I think many here play the same way. I always went straight to Therum after the first visit to the citadel to get Liara.Yeled wrote...

Just resumed playing my new FemShep ME1 playthrough, and I've just finished Eden Prime. Straight away, I went to the Med Bay Storage room and had a little look at Liara's chair that she'll eventually be sitting on. Must have been in there for quite a few minutes, haha!
Can't wait until I get to Therum so I can meet Liara again!!
I did the exact same thing when I got off Eden Prime!!! I got a little tingle when I saw Liara's "spot" on the Normandy. I'm wandering around the Citadel right now, having just completed the first encounter with the Council (honestly we didn't present them with enough solid evidence to act on...I think if my Shep were in charge she would have delayed going to the council until we had something more solid to present...as it was we wound up looking silly). As soon as I get the opportunity I'll be heading off to pick Liara up.
I think you and I play this game much the same way, Les.

I'm still trying to figure out how video footage of Sovereign on Eden Prime was never mentioned as part of the evidence. Everyone has to know that Saren has Sovereign, tooling around in 2km long unique dreadnaught would seem like something people would tend to notice.
Gah! I never even thought of that. Wow, that's a big slip (that I also missed!!!)

Bioware did go to great extremes to keep the ME1 LIs out of ME2. At the least, they could just let us tell Liara how we feel about her. Even a single line recorded from a phone call to Liara's voice-actress would be sufficient...for now.

I just did another ME1 playthrough myself last week and I had a lot of the same feelings with the Council scenes. I totally understand them defending Saren and taking his side in the initial meeting, it was actually kind of embarassing how Udina and humanity seems like histrionic whiners. Everything the Council says is true too, the Alliance is just criminally negligent when it comes to defending their own colonies.Yeled wrote...

It made me proud when Liara tells you that the Council picked you as a Spectre because they saw something in you, that you were the best and brightest humanity had to offer. But I also can't help but feel that the rest of humanity needs to raise the bar a bit on their own.

Even a simple option to go see her at Illium at any time and give each other a peck on the cheek would make a world of difference. That doesn't even require an voice acting, you could just have Shep and Liara hold each other's hands, look into each others eyes, smile, and then kiss each other. Would make alot of people a little more happy.

BioWare would most likey do all LIs (I don't know about Jacob, everyone seems to dislike something about him. Damn you Jacob...) just because the Tali fan base might be bigger, doesn't mean they won't take advantage of the other fan bases.
So far, Liara seems to be extremely popular.

But, I think the whole situation probably fits with the saying, "hindsight is 20/20", it probably seemed like a great idea at the time (or as good as it could get with the comic not fully released) the way they had the scene play out, but until the execution of the scene, you just don't know.
Kind of like when you get a math question wrong, you may think you got it completely right when you are doing it, but then when you double check it later you say, "WTF, how did I even think that was close to the answer".
I don't really think it was laziness, they were just mistaken in how good they thought the scene was.

Seriously. We don't even receive any indicators from the meetings on Illium that they're still even in a relationship. We Liarafans just assume (and hope) that they are because of the kiss and because Shepard has a picture of her on his/her desk, which by itself is only a one-way indication.
Such ambiguous writing on Bioware's part.

Agreed, the exisiting Liara reunion and romance content in ME2 is very poor and does feel very thrown together to say the least. I do feel that so much of it was cut out to avoid spoilers for Redemption that BW was left with little manueverability with regards to actual content in Liara's reunion scene. They can't have Liara say anything else or Shepard be more inquisitive as they don't want to spoil the comic. It's annoying and unfortunate, I know, but I think it will be all worth it in the end after Redemption is finished and BW is free to include all of Liara's intended ME2 content and her role.

While it sure would be nice to have it
And on a more or less unrelated note I have to say Jacob gained some points in my personal sympathy rating today, saw my girlfriend playing his romance and I have to say its surprisingly emotional also on shepards part at least the parts I saw and he is the only squadmember that ever asks how shepard feels and you can give him some interesting answers.

I did mess around with a non-import default Femshep the other day to see what all was different in the initial parts. So she had Kaiden during the evacuation scene and I'm not sure if he says his lines with more emotion or not if he's an LI, but he seemed less emotive than Liara as an LI saying the exact same lines. I think it is pretty crazy to have one script for everyone though, if you have the voice actors sitting there reading lines to begin with they could at least make them personal.
