Did you read what I posted above? You're missing one vital fact: Liara doesn't want to be an information broker, and once the SB has gone she will want to join up with Shep again.
We'll see in the Liara DLC. I personally feel that Liara's really going to open her heart during the DLC, and admit her sorrorw, guilt and emotional torment. The poor girl's been through so much, all for Shepard, that at some point her defense mechanism will drop completely and she's going to need comforting and consoling. Badly.
I know, I feel the same way I dont think she likes being an information broker either, and she showed regret for not being able to join you. But I guess Im just a bit of a pessimist, and finding out that Liara wouldnt be an ME3 squaddie would kill me.
Im so anxious for the Liara dlc, I cant wait to finally get more Liara, and know just whats going on!
If that ends up being the case at the end of a DLC or expansion without you being able to save her from herself... to be quite honest I WILL NOT buy ME3. Sounds foolish I know... but once you start a romance as epic as I see Shep and Liara... you do not end it on a sorrowful note. Someone does not go through what she goes through to get your body to save you only to let you go again for real. Doesn't make any sense. I'm hoping Bioware does the right thing... but after the KOTOR series and how ME2 turned out story wise... I'm kind of up in the air.
No, believe me if they do that to Liara I wouldnt buy ME3 either.
Liara is the main thing that attaches me to ME.
Yeah, Liara is the
best thing about ME. <3:wub:
Even if I was to look at the Liara DLC at its very worst, I would assume we would get a 2 hour DLC with some emotional scenes, but not everything we want.
Realistically, we should get a 5-7 hour DLC that includes a deep, emotional storyline and most of what we want.
Optimistically, BioWare goes all the way, pulls a RockStar and gives us a 15+ hour Expansion that includes a deep, emotional, beautiful storyline with everything that we could dream of in it and an epic storyline.
At this point, I can't imagine BioWare completely and utterly f**king it up, but if they did, I would not get ME3 either (unless they somehow made Liara perfect in ME3 and she was a squaddie).
BioWare has definitely setup a great emotional storyline, even they should realize the implications of Liara becoming the SB.
